Man, two years ago who would have believed Tucker would wind up his career here with an outright release due to scandal? Just goes to show we don't really have any idea as to the character of these guys. I guess the teams don't either. Green needs to stay squeaky clean in order to have a successful career here. I don't know enough about him to say one way or the other if he has changed his ways. This ought to be a good lesson for him if he has the sense to comprehend it.

I can't wait until the pre-season to see these rookies in action. Still 3 months away...sheesh! I've been wondering if now that the Ravens have taken up a relationship with the UK, if they will be playing there again in the upcoming regular season.

Emery Jones out until maybe TC with a labrum issue.

The way the draft works today makes it inevitable that they'll sign everybody. There might be some delay in the first 3 picks but they will come around.

Ravens turned down offer from Iggles to trade down

Interesting but I'm glad we didn't pull the trigger. Starks was a no-brainer at 27. -
Ravens signed offensive tackle Joseph Notebloom

Gee this guy has had more injuries in his career than anybody else we have on the team. -
Given how difficult the negotiations were last time, and the fact that Lamar is currently not a Super Bowl winner, this would be a good time to get started on negotiations now before the price goes up even higher. If Lamar gets us a Super Bowl, I'm not sure whether we could afford him.
-
What are the possible outlines of a new deal Lamar would take?
-
Good for Hamilton, Linderbaum, and the team. Hamilton stays a year longer, actually 2 years from now, and Linderbaum will get a new contract. He won't receive the extension probably because that $23.4 million includes an average of all interior linemen, OT's who are traditionally paid much higher than Centers, included. I think they'll get a deal done but it may take a few months.
-
Yeah I think it's mostly for orientation purposes rather than anything else.
-
Funny: Gerry Sanduskey on the Sports tonight talked about the irrelevance of rookie camp as to future success...said the the rookie who looked the worst in rookie camp to him of all time was Lamar Jackson---the best was Sergio Kindle.
-
We'll hope for the best but see how he performs in camp.
-
Well, I guess that's why he wound up as a UDFA---perhaps not motivated enough. Time will tell.
-
Of all the guys on your list, the one I'd really like to see make the cut is Jones. A 6-6 355 defensive tackle is just what the doctor ordered. I hope he's talented enough to stick.

If Green can stay out of jail and really work on his public reputation, it will be a cornerstone pick. If not, we've drafted an incorrigible player who will turn off a large part of the fan base and be a black mark on the franchise. At this point, all I can say is, let's wait and see which happens.

Looks like we're going to lose out on drafting a good Edge player where we're drafting. Some having us taking a CB in round 2. Should we use some of our draft capital to move up in the 2nd to get a good Edge guy? How about Ezeriaku from Boston College?
-
Because it frees up Hamilton like he was in '23, it's almost like getting 2 players for price of one.
-
Yeah the trade up would have been something but I am really delighted with us getting Starks. He's a guy who brings immediate impact they say and hell, he's from Georgia so he ought to be good.
-
I would only take the OG if there was not an impact-ready edge rusher, cornerback or safety available...especially if the guy needs development. There will be other options available for us, I think. As for Green, while you don't have to be a choir boy to play for us, I'd be very leery about a guy who might not even be out of jail during training camp.
-
That is exactly how I feel about Stewart...another Oweh we don't need. We need a guy who's ready now.
-
I just hope they don't pick Shemar Stewart at 27. He's one of those guys who has 'great potential' but who's senior year production was 4 1/2 sacks. There's a few pundits that have him going to us. We need a guy who can make an immediate impact not another project. Stewart should be a Day 2 pick.
-
Papa I'm confused...the Giants only have one first round pick this year. Are you saying we'll move down into the second round to get their 2026 1st and their 2025 2nd and we'd have no first round pick? Depending on who's still available at 27 this year, that could be a possibility but it is somewhat risky because we give up a first rounder this year who'd have a 5th year option. If that is what you're suggesting though it does bear watching I'd say.
-
No I'd hate to see them move down. They already have 11 picks in this draft. Dropping lower would be a mistake. Crap, they're already down there at 27. I could only see doing it if they had a choice of 3 blue chip players at positions of need. Then maybe they could drop down 1 or 2 spots only. That is a highly unlikely scenario.
-
I wouldn't make that deal. I did have some good feelings about using Mark to move up in the draft.
