The Texans are coming with almost everybody healthy. They'll be hungry for a win and they'll get one.
-
Monk is a class act.
-
Is Keaton Mitchell the xenomorph we need for this game?
-
I thought doing that to Monken was a slap in the face. Disgusting. And if Harbs noted we were 'getting away from the game-plan', why didn't he use his headset to tell Monken so during the game?
-
I can't blame Monk at all for the offense. The fact is the line personnel there are just not up to snuff except for Linderbaum who's in the last year of his contract, I believe. But the scheme has been super now for 3 years. Defense is another matter. Personnel, until the injuries hit last week, have been above average but our DC just can't seem to get them to play 4 quarters of solid play. Maybe not even one half. There's going to be a big shakeup in the coaching but unfortunately not until after the season. Question is, will Bisciotti unload Harbaugh with some of the others?
-
I think you guys are dreaming. I don't see any coaching changes until after the season at least. I hope I'm wrong. If I were king, I'd replace Harbs with Monken until the end of the year, and then either hire Spags or make Monken the permanent head coach. Training staff, I agree, changes have to be made. Too many soft tissue injuries and perhaps a lack of conditioning. Harbaugh has been a successful coach for years but his time has come and gone. I don't think his message resonates with the team anymore. I know it doesn't with me. I think he's lost now and is just mouthing platitudes. He was never good with the x's and o's having only been a special teams coach. He did once have a superior motivational talent but even that has faded. I don't discount all the success he's had in the past. I just think he's gotten stale and it would be great if the Biscuit sees it the same way.

I'm not so sure we make it into the PO's this year. It's possible they may be 'done' now.
-
You may very well be right on that one.
-
Now that I've puked, metaphorically, I feel better. I think someone on the coaching staff has to be jettisoned. The team flat out quit in the second half, including Lamar, who when things don't go well can always be found sulking on the bench off by himself. Was it just me, or did anyone else notice some defenders just standing around like statues in the third quarter, neither attacking or pursuing the ball. Even 'street' defenders should know better than that. Yes. It is time for someone to be held accountable. C'mon, Steve, make some kind of move here.
-
Yeah from what I saw in preseason his speed and cut ability is back...they ought to be able to work him in there now and then.
-
Agree, absolutely!
-
By the way, WTF ever happened to Keaton Mitchell?? He's just disappeared off the radar. If he's healthy, he should be being used as a change of pace back.
-
Even after we lose at KC, there will still be 13 games left in the regular season. Even though only a handful of teams have made the PO's after a 1-3 start, I think the Ravens will make it.
-
I've noticed that as well but I believe it's because we're always drafting near the bottom of the barrel. That makes it harder to have success in the third round and beyond.
-
I feel much worse about this game than the Bills game. Absolutely no pass rush, the D-line pushed around like so many dolls, and the O-line and Lamar ripped for 7 sacks...Ouch! Obviously, van Noy and Madds are really missed, but still, the Ravens were whipped phsically on both sides of the ball. Not used to seeing that for sure. And now KC and 1-3?
-
Well if Henry runs and Lamar plays like he usually does, I would expect a high scoring game. Our secondary, which has the talent to do so, needs to play at the highest level. I think it's 50-50 as to who wins this one.
-
The play was very sloppy. Four fumbles and an INT for New England. Penalties and blocked FGs. I wonder what we'll see tonight. Meanwhile our 2 best pass rushers are out as well as a run stuffer. Gonna be hard to hold Detroit's offense. Looks to be a high scoring affair. At least we are at home.
-
Pats have more talent but can't secure the ball. Steelers luck out. I will say when they tackle, they also almost always go to knock the ball out.
-
He's got a groin injury, unfortunately. If Jaire Alexander can really still play, this would be a good time for him to step up. Harbs indicated he wasn't in football shape in week 1 but might be ready for this game or next.
-
Well that's a good strategy but currently the Lions' yds/carry are 18th in the league. Don't know if they have that kind of attack to employ. Their passing game is quite prolific and this game could be another Bills-type shootout.
-
When you say 'them' do you mean the Lions or the Ravens?
-
It'll be tight but I think the ground game resurfaces and Lamar has a good day. As for our defense, who knows what shows up. Humphrey and van Noy will probably be out and we'll need all hands to stop their offense. 52 points on any NFL team is quite a statement. Plus Detroit will be motivated by how we embarrassed them last time. Still, I think we'll pull it out. Close game. Could go either way.
-
He had a monster game today, for sure.
-
The O-line needs something. Unfortunately, it may be new personnel. The next 4 games will tell the tale and I think it may be ugly.
-
I am concerned about Rose's rather poor outing last week...he didn't look like a top notch OT for most of the game. We'd be screwed if we didn't have Lamar to run option plays. And I'm saying that as a guy that never liked the option in pro ball. But, Lamar makes it work.
