  1. I think the answers to all these questions will all come out in the Pittsburgh game. Can the Offense run the ball and run time consuming drives especially when ahead? Is Lamar 2020 as good as Lamar 2019? Will the receivers get open? Can the defense stand up for 4 quarters against an elite team? Can the Ravens beat an elite team? I don't know what the answers will be. This team, this year is a mystery but we all will find out soon enough---two days before the election when another big unknown gets answered (maybe).
  2. I think Lamar and the offense will get its mojo back and the Ravens have a solid win.
  3. Good opportunity for the Ravens passing game to get healthy. They just have to remember to run to set up the pass. Hopefully, Lamar's knee is better and he can take off now and again.
  4. Like I said. I think Lamar is playing hurt and it could be affecting his decision making. Did he not run as much last game because he was hurt or because the Bengals were defending well, or because his mind is elsewhere, or all three? Clearly he wasn't the same Lamar we saw last year. I also agree with another poster's comment on the game that he looks like he's not having fun. Now maybe when your knee is aching and you spent the previous day sick that takes the fun out of it.
  5. I think Jackson is hurting. His knee kept him out of practice for 2 days and it really showed. Super job by Andrews and defense won the game for them this week.
  6. Well, the season is young and there were no pre-season games. Maybe they'll yet find the answer.
  7. I think they hired a passing consultant during the off-season didn't they? If so, he hasn't much effect so far.
  8. I don't think we have the horses to generate a non-blitz pass rushing attack. It's been this way since T-Sizzle started to slide. There is no one rushing the passer who puts fear into them. And we won't be able to do anything about it until after the season ends unless they want to make a trade which I doubt.
  9. I'd rather see our new guys get more playing and targeting time.
  10. I think he's a priority. He's excellent at pass blocking and is a fixture on Lamar's blind side. Not so sure he is a priority for Ravens' management, though...he should have been signed by now.
  11. Good, not great, but good game for the Ravens who needed a bounce back win. Lamar was good. Even though he scored on a 50 yd TD run I think he ran himself too often for too little. His passing was good but he was under duress too much. Not only do they miss Stanley, I think they really miss Yanda too. On the other hand, the WFC does have a top notch defensive line. But he was under a lot of pressure against KC too. The offensive line is out of sync this year. They won't make it very far in the playoffs unless they resolve that issue. I don't know how they do that.
  12. Our line has holes and their pass rush is good. I don't foresee a big win.
  13. Maybe he should be our opener too. Ingraham hasn't looked as good as last year and they don't seem to want Dobbins to actually run the ball, just be a decoy mostly on 3rd down.
  14. Hey! The fucking Chiefs game is over now. Put it in the rearview mirror like the team has to do and go out and kill the WFC.
  15. yeah, not going for it on the initial drive was a real letdown. The should have followed the analytics on that one. Meanwhile, somebody pound Roman's head into the wall for ditching the promising running game.
  16. Really glad to see this. Still hoping they can get something done with Stanley.
  17. Maybe that's why nobody hired him as a HC this past off-season.
  18. I know I'd like to! Going out on the limb: Ravens 24 Chiefs 20.
  19. I think he has what it takes but anything can happen...remember Lee Evans? For some reason, though, I'm feeling a bit more confident as the week goes on.
  20. Glad you'll be home in time to catch this from your real psl seat. Nail biter. Not sure of anything in this game except it has the potential to become unforgettable. Reminds me of how I felt with the NE matchups several years ago. Stomach has butterflies!
  21. As I thought might happen, the Ravens offense came out of the gate slowly, picked up some speed after the defense gave them a TO then went on to win. The good stuff was the continued maturity of Lamar, Miles Boykin and the other receivers playing really well (when was the last time you saw anybody in this group have a drop?), JK and Edwards. Now the not so good: Ingraham may have lost something due to age...other than the trick play for a TD he had trouble running; he looked slow too...the offensive line had both protection issues and problems opening up the running lanes...Orlando Brown couldn't handle JJ Watt...Skura might not be back enough to normal to warrant all the playing time he's getting...Phillips is going to be learning the RG position but he needs to be a quick learner in the NFL...Tavon Young's injury made me ill---he can't catch a break...Averett couldn't handle his position. So, good news and still lots to work on. KC may give them fits.
  22. I don't think the Texans match up well against us. I foresee another victory though by a smaller margin.
  23. Great game if you are a Ravens fan. Lamar is other worldly as is Andrews and Marquise. Worried about Stanley. Is he OK?
  24. No. I agree with Max. I'll take even a shortened season. Some football is better than none, especially with how crummy a year 2020 has been so far.
