  1. Lamar can build arm strength in the weight room and if he believes that's a weakness he'll do so. Not real worried about that. Big receiver and inside linebacker are indeed needed. Just as important is a damn good edge rusher so they don't have to blitz all the time. They have got a huge amount of cap space to improve a position or two with free agency. They can maybe get another position in the draft but that will be tougher since they will be drafting so low due to their record. I don't buy it that Harbs is to blame. He was completely behind the re-design of the offense. Committed to it in full. He also kept the team focused through a grueling 12 week winning streak where there were many opportunities for a loss that never happened. I don't think the team was not 'up' for the game, they just didn't know how to deal with adversity if they fell behind. The offense lost its poise a little bit when they fell behind. Roman was too quick to give up on the run I thought too but the guy is still a genius who created the team's overall strategy during the re-build. And the offense is very young at the skill positions and was handed a spanking. Get some receivers to get open and catch. Build up Lamar's arm. Get a ferocious edge rusher. If they get all that and lose again, then I would start looking at the coach.
  2. It was a fantastic season. I saw things that I’ve never seen before that were so entertaining and rewarding. Have to keep that in mind too along with last night’s disaster. this team is young and they’ll be back. As soon as next season. the thing they have to work on is how to win under adversity. I didn’t like how they didn’t seem to have a plan to come from behind and still win. This’ll be part of the maturing process this young, precocious team will learn. Hopefully by next season. What a great year! They’ll be back. And they’ll be better. But let’s not forget the sweet last 12 games of this season. That made this season a success. Imagine what a Steelers fan would have given to have had as great a ride as we had!!
  3. Some good points for sure. But I think the Ravens still win 24-17 if Ingram can’t go. Lamar will still spark the team and the Titans just won’t have quite enough. If Ingraham plays the score won’t be as close.
  4. 31-13 Ravens.

    Eat Crow

This is true...but I still will get nervous...but not upset. It was a great year no matter what happens.
  6. We can beat any of those three teams. It's KC that worries me in the AFC Championship game.
  7. Me too, though I really hate to lose either one.
  8. Smart. Well done. Two solid cornerbacks now for the future.
  9. I like the poetic ring!
  10. 27-17 Steelers...RG can't compensate for a missing Lamar against a rock solid defense and Steelers run the ball successfully with Brandon Williams out.
  11. I think you're right (he said sheepishly)!
  12. On his rookie contract?? I guess we can add 'generous' to his resume too.
  13. WTF is Coaching Simulator 2000? I thought I had heard of every football game.
  14. Funny...for some reason I think it’ll be a fun game to watch. I believe Harbs said we’ll see McSorley later in the game too. Big game for RG! He’ll get to perform for other teams. A chance to restart his career. Good news about Ingram! He’ll be back for the playoff run.
  15. Yes...never even imagined the Ravens would ever have a season like this and a player as uniquely great as Lamar. What a ride! I go back a long way and have to say this ties the 58 Colt season as the most rewarding one I ever experienced. A fantastic achievement by all facets of the organization!
  16. I guess the s--tter was full.
  17. Yes to this strategy.
  18. Morgan Cox is a Pro Bowler. You were right about him and I was wrong to jump on has back after last week's blocked punt.
  19. I'm expecting a hard fight. It won't be another blowout. But I'd love to be wrong!
  20. Agree with that. He’s shown a real desire to learn and excel. Wish his Dad was around to see this. His son is also a class act.
  21. Not as sure as you are...the game is an away game and the Browns may be playing so Kitchens doesn't get fired. Not sure how much they like Freddie but Mayfield argued for him to become HC. The most important thing for the Ravens is to avoid injuries. We also need to win so we can get a 'bye' week in January. Should be a fun game.
  22. If he doesn't want to go to KC isn't his only other option retirement?
  23. Too much risk and too little reward.
  24. Yes...football is a game in which emotion can and does play a big part. The Ravens right now are really fired up thanks to Lamar. If they can keep that up I think they are the favorites to get to and win the Super Bowl. The whole team is feeding off him.
  25. Can't remember but it seemed to me that they lined up over his shoulder which may be legal---or not. In any case, you're right about him doing a good job over the years. Still it was quite shocking to see him get bowled over like that.
