I don't want to beat a guy when he's down, but Joe gives me the feeling he thinks he's good enough and doesn't see a need or have the will to put in the hard work to improve. The worst of it is that I think he has great talent and potential but lacks the appropriate work ethic. So, unless he has an epiphany, I think we're stuck with a below-average to mediocre quarterback. Time for the organization and fans to take the long view because short term things aren't going to get much better. They need to find a QB to groom for the future in the next draft. The next draft should focus totally on the offense: QB, O-line, WR, and Tight End.

Yep. The whole organization needs an overhaul. Can't do much about Joe until 2019 except go and get his replacement this coming draft. Lots of good qb's supposed to be available. Bisciotti will really have his mettle and reputation tested with how he handles the front office changes. And whether he will even do anything.

Kubiak would help long term but short term we need more offensive young talent. When Kubes left here I thought we should have made him head coach and bumped Harbaugh upstairs somewhere. But his heart was in Denver. I wouldn't say the Ravens will 'kill' him but I don't think he'll have the immediate success he had before. An alternative would be to clean house and hire Rick Dennison as head coach here with Kubes working for him. I just think Harbs, and others, have to go.

Any dull Sunday routine beats watching the Ravens.

Gosh Sylvester, you must be reading my mind!
-
I can't watch the offense anymore. Heads must roll this off-season.

Explain this anybody? http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Reports-Matthew-Judon-Fined-Twice-as-Much-as-Dolphins%E2%80%99-Kiko-Alonso/8b2366d1-6148-4d9a-b73c-48a2df427a65

Completely agree!
-
They should have sent a real message and suspended him for one game and fined him. Sylvester is right...they really don't care unless it's somebody who brings money in like Brady.
-
Glad to hear he's OK. Really wondering if they have a chance to win any of the next 3.
-
Great photo of Berry by the way.
-
And we will eventually get Canady and Young back next year.
-
Didn't he have a few domestic issues while he was with us?
-
Yeah, if they ever start beating teams with better records, even once in a while, it will be a very positive sign but I don't think that's in the cards this year. Some other notes: I have given this guy all the time in the world but Perriman looks like another WR bust for the Ravens. Highly disappointing! Collins is the real deal. Reminds me a bit of Leveon Bell. If he stays consistent for the rest of the season with this awful O-line we have, I'll feel comfortable at running back. Pleased with Boyle. Weddel is past his prime. Humphrey's is impressive! Looking forward to having Yanda and Lewis back next year. How is Jensen really doing? I get conflicting feelings about him. At least he's stopped become a penalty machine. What happened to Correa, Bowser, and the rest of the picks after Humphrey? Not much return on these guys.

I thought they played well and with an energy I haven’t seen in quite awhile. But keep in mind they were going against a really bad team. We have to show concistency before I become a believer again. I don’t think Mallett can show that. Hell, I don’t think Joe is consistent either. So I’m in a wait and see mode.

I agree with Va. above. Hard to know who has any value and what we could get for them. First things first is a new front office and coaching staff. Message to Bisciotti: get to work!!!
-
Well, hell, we need a new car!

I dunno...I find I'm rapidly losing interest in the games what with the NFL achieving parity (and therefore mediocrity) and the fact that the Ravens are poorly managed and have been playing non-entertaining football since 2012 with the one exception of Kubiak's season here. In addition, Joe's contract has a stranglehold on the franchise and he's not playing up to what he needs to be. I don't think he's really been the same since Kubiak left and since his knee injury. He needs to voluntarily accept a pay cut like Brady and Ben did. But that's just part of the story. The coaching is stale and the team just doesn't have any excitement and they play like it too. I can accept losing if a team is entertaining but watching the Ravens play is getting to be painful and boring. We'll see how the rest of the season goes but I'm becoming a pessimist especially with Bisciotti's not so veiled threat to sell the team if he doesn't get his way on future stadium improvements or reconstruction.
-
Yep. That pretty much describes their motor.
-
Being mediocre has become a habit. I can only hope you're right about B's thoughts behind closed doors. Agree with Spen that what B said about the future of the franchise and stadium upset me too.

http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/baltimore-sports-blog/bs-sp-ravens-steve-bisciotti-20171019-story.html I don't think Steve gets it. What's turning people off is the same old dull and sloppy product the Ravens are every year now.
-
We also need 4 new tires.
-
Like I've said before, I'll be impressed when they can stack 3 or 4 games together that look like last week's win. In the meantime, I'm just enjoying the moment.
-
An unexpectedly solid effort and victory. Only 1 penalty is amazing. Defense shut them down late. Joe looked like an elite quarterback. I was beginning to think he was washed up. Great work by the OL...who knew that would happen? Collins is a keeper. Wallace was fantastic and Macklin and Perriman were good too. They've got to do this again and again before I become a full believer but I am much impressed by today's game.

So, how about talking about new coaching hires?!
