  1. Ravens win 19-16 Touchdowns are going to be real hard to get in this game. But...the Ravens have the better kicker.
  2. Instead of 1 spy, I think Bill has 3 spies on Lamar.
  3. It's no secret that part of Bellicheat's game plan against any opponent is to take away their best weapon. In this case that means Lamar and his TE's. If Lamar can't run and if he doesn't have his favorite targets to bail him out....game over. my gut feeling is that he will go all out to make Lamar beat them with his arm. He can't do that if the Ravens can run.
  4. Yes! Run, Run, Run....
  5. I'm getting more excited every day about Sunday nights upcoming game. The stadium will be electric. This is a benchmark test for this Ravens team. I still think they are a year away from being able to win a match up like this....but you don't know. Never count the Ravens out.
  6. No wonder Belecheat let his son call the plays. There was no risk of losing.
  7. Fabulous! I call this an "Act of Love." Thank you Dee!!!
  8. I forgot to add Flacco to the list.
  9. The Steelers play the Dolphins!
  10. Just having some fun.
  11. Osemele done for the season and released. I feel bad for them. And good in a way, because they got their payday knowing this could be their fate. They were really good and key members of the Ravens yet it's easier to swallow their loss when a team other than the Ravens is getting their CAP hits. It would have deep 6ed the Ravens. We need to remember this when we lose our next batch of fan favorite Ravens players. Father time and NFL mileage brings them all down.
  12. Barnwell is calling the Pats D the best in NFL history. I don't know what that means about the Ravens chances of winning. (currently 37%) I suspect the Ravens don't care.
  13. Indianapolis: According to league sources the injury occurred immediately following his post game press conference where he called out Vic Fangio for having a conservative game plan. Vic was seen on top of him choking him.
  14. I watched them yesterday. If the Browns don't make all those penalties and turnovers, then they would have won the game. The Browns gave them the game. I hope the Ravens are dialed in on this.
  15. Power Rankings are out. "Ravens on the rise!" We are not doing anything unsavory to get people to read and post here. We have guidelines...and morals...and consciences. [even spell checked]
  16. Great point. I see this happening. By seasons end I bet they have a solid corps of leaders....just like they used to.
  17. A Ravens win will shock the NFL world and me. That's why I was so excited about the win over Seattle. BUT!>>>>>I'm getting ever closer to where you are. When the Ravens play the Patriots I always feel they have a good chance to win. Yet the Pats D is only giving up 6.9 points per game which will smash the 2000 Ravens record. Unless! Lamar and CO lay Hell on them.
  18. I know the game is almost 2 weeks away but I read this and thought, "How will Lamar and the offense handle this?"
  19. The have to have very good special teams play. One side of the ball can't carry the other. They need all 3 phases.
  20. One of my sons refuses to watch horse racing due to this. I know of others who won't watch it anymore. 34 is too way, way too many. I love horse racing but I don't want to have all these deaths.
  21. McPhee is done. It's Ferguson's time to shine. This bye week is at a good time. The team has time to get healthy............ I don't see them putting together a shut down D.Too many injuries and off season losses. This is a unit on the in-season rebuild. A good solid D is necessary and I think they can be that. There is still a solid corps of players in Pierce, Judon, Williams, Thomas, Peters, Smith, Humphrey and Clark. They can go to war with that. It looks like the Ravens will have to rely on all 3 units, playing well, to win against the very good teams.
  22. Great topic. As I see it: 1. It means that with an average defense, the Ravens are now legit playoff contenders. The defense is average for now....at best a B. 2. Eric Decosta. Let's be grateful that he's the GM. His moves are really hitting pay dirt The Ravens have never made mid season moves like this. It's hard to believe that a couple of street free agents can come in midway, start, make a difference and stop the bleeding. With no training camp, no pre season. and then Marcus Peters! What a steal. His INT for a TD was the turning point in the game. The Hawks were driving with a chance to go up 17-6 or 13-6 and put the Ravens in a hole. Instead 13-10 Ravens. Eric deserves his own thread. 3. With Mahomes out, the only dominant team in the AFC that I see is the Pats. How many AFC teams will hit the playoffs hot and on a roll? Will the Title be up for grabs? 4. IF!......IF!... they can stay healthy. We'll find out about McPhee today. Can't afford to lose him. Looks like Smith and Peanut will be back for the Pats game. Just in time. Once again...they have to stay healthy! Then....we'll see come January. 5.It seems communication on the D has improved. So has assignment discipline. How that can happen boggles the mind with all the new players and with some players being put into new positions. Credit Martindale and his staff with a fabulous job. The D played their ass's off for 60 minutes. No quit in that dog. This game will give them more confidence and swagger and belief in themselves. 6. Yea....they can keep getting better.
