  1. Perfect for my morning cup of purple coffee.
  2. Prelude: The Ravens first real game and test was Sunday against the Chiefs. On an off day by Lamar and a bad day for the Ravens D, they were still only 1 minute away from a damn good chance to win the game. They played against Mahomes. Let me remind you about this on Mahomes from USA Today.."Through 20 career games, Patrick Mahomes is greatest quarterback statistically in NFL history, and it's not even close. Includes 60 TD throws, 115.3 rating." Remember that. Because Mayfield, McDonald and Dalton are not even close in damage ability. If ever the Ravens had a good chance to sweep the division, then it's these next 3 weeks. The timing is right. Somehow....probably through incidental exposure to Papa....I don't believe that will happen. But WOW! if they did. Remember: Divisional games are different. Everybody knows each other. Everybody plays tough against each other. The wins are tight. Often nail biters. We have 3 games as a small sample size. The Ravens hold the edge as the #1 offense in yards. Bengals are 18th, Browns 24th and Steelers 30th. In points scored Ravens are #1. Bengals #25 and Browns and Steelers tied at 27. Defense...yards... .Ravens dropped to #16. Browns at 10. Bengals 27. Steelers 29. Points surrendered.. Ravens have given up 60. Browns 66. Bengals 83 and Steelers 85. The Improbable Run starts Sunday. Once again, this will be the Browns Super Bowl. They are fighting for their season. I do not see them as an easy out. In a way, the same is true for the Ravens. They can begin to take command with a win Sunday.
  3. What makes this worse is that the Lamar era offense is actually averaging around 24 points per game. That needs to be 30 with this defense.
  4. Things are looking up....
  5. Don't blame the offense. They should have run more, but a defense that has given up over 800 yards the past 2 weeks should hang their head in shame. Then.....with a minute plus to go, all they need is a 3rd down stop and the Ravens are in position to win the game. We saw how well that worked.
  6. Greta took it to the U.N. today...called all of them out...everybody out.....
  7. They have not regressed. They did not win the division last year until the final week. They are in front now. Watch them over the next 3 weeks. They will come off that owning the division. The defense is not as good due to the loss of Young and Smith but the pass rush and pressure is the same as last year. a step back due to injuries. The offense is light years ahead of last year.
  8. 2-1. We all saw a loss here. Give the Chiefs credit. They made the plays...again. Ravens are a year behind them. Next up Browns. Win that and the Ravens are still looking good.
  9. then again....
  10. Ravens are getting out coached. Where's the game plan? Maybe Lamar's not following it. The team is not executing. Carr and Averett are getting eaten alive. Humphrey may be hurt. Harbaugh has to stop this "go-for-it-4th -and -long crap." Lamar has got to settle down. His throws are not accurate and it seems like he is trying to do too much. No way they can overcome being down 17.
  11. My thoughts too. Joe was great in bad weather...wind, cold, rain. Lamar has handled the cold well, but the rest is still a "wait and see." I have my doubts with him handling a wet, slick ball after last year.
  12. No friggn'n way. That's ridiculous. I don't believe it.
  13. Who can handle the weather conditions the best? NEVERTHELESS! I am so pumped up for this game. Ravens only have a 27% chance of winning. Who cares? The Baltimore Ravens will show up!
  14. He's no Dion Sanders. He got beat Thursday night by the Titans. They have too many good players to sign and keep. A Ramsey deal is not worth losing them.
  15. I had a family intervention. 20 years of posting and going cold turkey was too much. They put me in Sheppard Pratt for a few days.
  16. 3rd and 11. Huge play. The Cardinals were on the verge of pulling off a 24-23 win if the Ravens don't convert. For me it was a jaw dropping pass. I did not expect him to go deep, Brown was well covered. Only a perfect throw and catch would work and the dynamic dou pulled it off. Win! Got to say that the opening day game day experience at M&T was fabulous. The atmosphere was electric. I think the "Lamar WOW" factor had everybody excited and buzzing. The stadium improvements are awesome and the tailgates parties are better than ever.
  17. 2-0 start is necessary and huge...
  18. I don't know...I'm getting a Lamar jersey. He's totally won me over. It's his character and work ethic.
  19. The Chiefs game is when the real season starts. Lamar did not like losing that one.
  20. USA Today needs to calm down some. They have the Ravens at #5. #8 in ESPN's.... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27569994/week-2-nfl-power-rankings-1-32-poll-plus-best-rookie-team Prisco has them at # 10.....https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-2-power-rankings-patriots-back-at-no-1-ravens-climb-into-top-10-jaguars-take-big-tumble/ LOL!
