  1. Win Ugly. The Raven Way. Interspersed in that mess were some really nice plays. And Just Remember: Steeler fans "Were sent forth into the weeping and gnashing of teeth."
  2. He's genuine and electrifying. There's a completely different buzz at the stadium game day. you can feel the "Lamar Effect" in the crowd.
  3. Most importantly, the Ravens won. That's huge. Any road win in Pittsburgh is huge. They're all Ravens now.
  4. 5 sacks, 6 QB hits, 10 tackles for a loss. Lamar was under a lot of heat today. The Steelers were playing in the Ravens backfield.
  5. Lot of injuries today. Typical Ravens/Steelers. I was waiting for some kind of retaliation on Lamar. Thankfully he escaped.
  6. Wow. They did everything they could to lose. The Refs did everything they could to help Shitsburg. This disgusted the football gods, who had enough so they intervened. 3-2. Pitts is 1-4. Now for the Browns to lose tomorrow night.
  7. Let's give this game away. We didn't want to win the division anyway.
  8. Very possible. Speaking of Thomas, film study says he's not the problem at all. Very good and i nteresting read....
  9. As a long time fan, my experience tells me that you can't fix or turn around a defense like this over night or even this year. Not until they get better players. With Williams back and...a big IF...Jimmy Smith returns and finishes the whole season....then they could be middle of the pack. Any more key injuries and they maybe win 4 games the rest of the year. The margin for error is that tight. I still see a Ravens win. Actually, I'm confident on this.
  10. Ravens are favored somehow. I don't know how, but they are. Big test coming up for Lamar. He not only has to carry this team, he has to win in Pittsburgh. He's never played there. A sure sign that the Ravens have a franchise QB is the ability to win in Pittsburgh. "Keep an eye on him."
  11. You nailed it. especially what we miss from Mosley, Weddle, Smith and Suggs. I don't think we have this huge collapse. There would be some drop off but not like this. This D has dropped into a black hole. I think most of us thought next year is the year for this team to be a legit contender. Yet other than a few teams, it's a wide open run for the playoffs. Parity rules.
  12. I agree that time will tell. It's still too early to get a true read but so far defenses haven't caught up. This is interesting....
  13. Lamar stacks up very well to all second year QB's. Remember....he hasn't played a full season yet. Here's the stats....... https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/lamar-jackson-watch-how-does-ravens-star-compare-with-other-second-year-quarterbacks/ar-AAI3Vmk?ocid=U508DHP
  14. So...it has become this bad.
  15. That is damning evidence. The Browns can do it but the Ravens can't. Agree with Thomas is a bust. He physically doesn't have it anymore. Mentally....this D must be too complicated for him. Jefferson is a liability. It's the '96 Ravens secondary.
  16. This is a nonsense thread. If you keep predicting certain things will go bad and end, then you are sure to be right. Everything eventually ends and changes. Lamar was a great pick. He has done nothing but electrify this team, league and city. He's going to be great. There is plenty to build upon with this Ravens roster. It's obvious what pieces are missing from making them a playoff contender. Fix it. Get better players. Build around the core that exists.
  17. Give the Browns credit. Their offensive game plan was excellent. Their D bent but did not break. This loss is all on the D and coaching....and Eric. 6 straight scoring drives for Cleveland. Game over. They really missed Williams, Smith and Young. It is evident how much they are missed. Loved how Humphrey shut down Beckham, and choked him after Beckham took a swing at him. The offense is fine and will only get better as the season wears on from what I saw Sunday. My concern is points scored. They get the yardage but it seems they are stuck at averaging around 24 points per game since Lamar started. I have to look that up to be sure. 24 will not be enough. It's going to be a long season and hopefully a fight to the finish.
  18. That was pretty bad.
  19. That was pretty bad.
  20. I'm so conflicted. Sorry that you have to put up with me. Changed my mind. I'm going this route today....
  21. Uhhhhhh....maybe next year. Total humiliation. I'm beginning to think Locksley can"t coach. This team was not ready.
  22. Here's some numbers that say the Ravens are getting pressure on QB's.... So they are beating blocks........The problem is they are not generating sacks. This is going to be a high scoring game.
  23. It's still OK to give the finger right? Please don't tell me I can't do that.
  24. The game last year was on the verge of being a blowout until Lamar fumbled at the goal line. But the Ravens had a D. Not so this year due to key injuries and the failure to get the personnel necessary to generate a pass rush. I think the game Sunday will be similar. No blow out due to freak plays or turnovers. Both teams will battle their ass off. A close game and a Ravens win. Insiders predict: Baltimore Ravens - Favored to win: Baltimore Ravens - Spread: -7 - Odds: -300 - Cleveland Browns team stats: - Offense: 330.3 yards per game (#24 in the league) --- Passing offense: 241.3 ypg (#18) --- Rushing offense: 89.0 ypg (#25) - Defense: 315.3 yards per game (#10 in the league) --- Passing defense: 213.3 ypg (#10) --- Rushing defense: 102 ypg (#14) - Baltimore Ravens team stats: - Offense: 511.7 yards per game (#1 in the league) --- Passing offense: 295.0 ypg (#7) --- Rushing offense: 216.7 ypg (#1) - Defense: 350.7 yards per game (#16 in the league) --- Passing defense: 290.3 ypg (#27) --- Rushing defense: 60.3 ypg (#3) "Who will find ways to win and who will find ways to lose?"
