The river takes a sharp bend toward Ellicott City at the base on Main St. Right before the bend, it aims straight for the city. So the water pours in from below and above. I took a bike ride through the state park saturday. The water level signs on the trees was 15' above normal. Can't engineer that away.

Johnson, Moore and Butler looked great on that final drive. Aiken picking up where he left off. The D looks the same as last year. No pressure on the QB, 3rd and long is a guaranteed first down, out of position and piss poor tackling. there were 3 or 4 good plays; the fumble recovery, some batted down passes, Canady's play in the end zone...but they keep giving up 5,287 yards.

Joe Platania did his homework. He's probably the best eyes and ears we have covering camp. He thinks Josh Johnson has a shot at beating out Mallett if he gives another strong performance. ....and Waller has definitely been looking damn good. He's a playmaker. Going to be a fun night.

Very interesting. It's also devastating for that reporters career to be doing this naked in a robe, sitting by a bed in a cheap hotel room. What kind of mother raises a son like that?

I want to see at least 9-7. A winning season. That's how you start on your way back up from the bottom. Then you build from there.

A teams worth of players didn't practice Saturday

Gee...what a shame....Stealer D and secondary not looking too good.

I'm outside working most of the day and I can't imagine practicing in pads in this heat. I did it as a kid....once upon a time, long, long ago.

I share the same concerns. I think we see Suggs, Pita, Joe, Dumervil, Webb. I'm hoping that Perryman is practicing this week or they can't count on him at all.

2.7 yards per carry. They were not pushed around.

Orr, Judon, Carter, Davis, Henry, ...even Elam and Brown came to play. I saw speed, intensity, pursuit to the ball and not as many missed tackles as you. I was looking for depth and potential future starters. The core of the D was not on the field in Suggs, Dumerville, Williams, Smith and Webb. I saw guys that look like they can claim a spot in the rotation and plugs the holes. Carolina only averaged 2.7 ypc on the ground....not too shabby for the Ravens D. Panthers had to settle for 4 FG's. You can win a lot of games keeping teams out of the endzone. 3 sacks, 4 tackles for a loss and 8 QB hits. That's good. The secondary gave up way too many yards and catches. I'm not worried about them. It will be different once the dust settles. Plus they were distracted trying to watch Michael...
