  1. I gave up on the #1 & #2 seeds a few weeks ago. This is not shocking.
  2. No excuses...I like your points OTR. No defensive pressure...coverage breakdowns...Upshaw doesn't hold the edge but credit the Steelers banged up offense for playing better than the Ravens banged up D. The Ravens fell into the Steelers game plan. They beat the Ravens when they can rattle Joe and force him to make the costy turnover. Joe did just that. No turnovers and the Ravens win. That's how they won at Pittsburgh. Sloppy play and costly penalties...Harbaugh has not got that under control all season. The Ravens took Ray Rice out of the game (12 carries 78 yards but let's not use him). The offense starts and go's with him....not Joe. This "La-de-da we may not look good but we find ways to win" attitude has to go. Finally....I don't like this 2012 Ravens teams chances against the Manning brothers, RG3 and Dalton. It feels like this team is comming apart, not getting better. Poor defense will do that to you. You can never feel that you are in any game. You feel that you can lose any game. The Steeler D reminded us of how it used to be. Solid defense will keep you in games and then opportunities to win present themselves.
  3. I know Stan the Fan and he knows his stuff when it comes to baseball and the Orioles. I heard him on the radio yesterday and the O's have a lot of options. They will not stay stagnent in their quest to get better. Here's some of Stan's recent thoughts... http://www.pressboxonline.com/story.cfm?id=9661
  4. Best thing they can do is play today. It will help them move on. Sitting around and doing nothing is not beneficial.
  5. I've had to make an agonizing decision. One that requires logic and good sense...not my strong suit. I'm not going to the game today because I'm still not 100% back from my operation. I can do all the walking and yelling but by late afternoon I run out of energy and my immune system is not ready for being out in the cold for 6 hours. Sucks being responsible.
  6. He played great last week but he's been inconsistent in the past. Gets pushed around and for some reason misses tackles. I don't think he'll be like that this year. He's a pridefull guy and really wants to help the D and not be a weak link. We saw that Sunday.
  7. They need Ray....even if it's just for depth. Ellerbe is dinged up...they had to start Ayambadejo. One more key injury to the LB corps will be one too many.

Here's a shorter, more coherent..and...readable version. Kevin Byrne did the homework. All I know is I get my money's worth as a PSL holder.
  10. Get your brooms out! "Troy! Save us!"
  11. It early in the season for this many teams to be out of the playoff hunt. The AFC looks like it will return 5 of 6 teams from last year to the playoffs. This is not the Parity the NFL wants. Around the League will stick a fork in teams believed to have no chance to make the playoffs. If we're wrong, we'll give a sizable check to charity and be publicly shamed.: 32. Kansas City Chiefs 31. Jacksonville Jaguars 30. Cleveland Browns 29. Carolina Panthers 28. Tennessee Titans 27. Washington Redskins 26. Oakland Raiders 25. Philadelphia Eagles 24. Miami Dolphins 23. St. Louis Rams 22. Arizona Cardinals 21. Detroit Lions 20. San Diego Chargers

  15. When the Ravens spread them out the results are good. I don't know why they don't push for the mis matches more often.
  16. That's how it ends for Rex.
  17. Actually, when you think about it, it's not much worse than being in Philly.
  18. He better...it's taking him a couple of years to do it.

    Right Nice!

4-0 in November. I see this team turning the heat up another notch this month. I respect the competition, but I don't see any game as one that they can't win. I also would be amazed if they won out.
  20. Yea...and I wonder how it would have turned out if he had a boogie sticking out his nose and broccoli on his teeth.
  21. Look...put all the lipstick on the pig that you want to but it won't change what it is.

    Huge Win

Good point yeager. A sign of a solid HC is his staff. John's got a damn good staff. Let them do the X's and O's. Being an OC didn't help Billick.
