I'm still obsessed with the Ravens. If I wasn't, that would be a sign that the End Times are here. But.... I have this new feeling about the Orioles....it's just like I used to feel about them for decades. Love them, listening to the games everyday and watching them when I can...did it for decades. The O's fire is definately burning. When I found myself listening to the O's game while I was at the Ravens game, I realized something special was back. I'll call it Baltimore Sports. We have the Ravens, the Orioles and the Preakness. That's the Big 3 for me and I take pride in this city rallying around those teams and events with both teams doing well. Finally the O's are back. It feels great to say that. It is totally awesome that every game is significant. I'm score board watching. I'm in a state of existence that I happen to love...high anxiety bordering on a nervous breakdown... Then comes Lacrosse. That's a Baltimore and a Maryland tradition for me. Then I love to see the local Colleges and High Schools do well.

Hey....we're #1 here.... We're in the money.

It's stuff like this that defines this incredible season... and this.... and this... I could put up 20 such statements. 74 and 59 guys....

will get you something at the Dollar Store. We know the offenses and defenses weren't game planning....the D's were showing nothing and a lot of these numbers were put up by the 2's and 3's. I was a little shocked to see the Ravens at #1 in so many offensive catagories. After many pre seasons of dismal numbers by the offense, this is refreshing. It tells me the system fits the personel and that they are comfortable in it. That's all. Of course the huge question is: Will this translate into the regular season? "They hardly used me."

Ravens sign Dennis Dixon to practice squad
vmax replied to FlaccoForever's topic in Baltimore Ravens
He's on the practice squad...burried. Any QB who is signed to a practice squad can not lead an NFL team to victory. They can run the scout team and in Dixon's case, give up the Stealer playbook. They are one step away from being unemployed. -
Today was huge...loved that "far-a-way" look on the silent Stankee crowd.

"It reminds me of me."

Billicks on the Bandwagon.... 12-4 is a strong prediction against that schedule.

I don't know...is Dukes ever right about anything? But your right OTR...it's amazing for a Raven Hater to say something like that. I love the offense and we haven't had Pita and Dixon on the field for Joe.

LOL Spen! Now all Valentine has to do is call this a Fluke. This makes me want to visit the Yankees board. This is a 3-1 nail biter for me today...but a great way to start a Labor Day Weekend.

There is no difference between the QB's that everybody mentions and Mitchell, Banks, Case, Wright, Jim Harbaugh... There's really nothing to get upset about here. The Ravens can't win with any of these guys. I know this doesn't belong here, but thinking about Ravens QB's of the past brought this hilarious true story up... Yup...unbelievable but true.

Look...after these football games somebody needs to clean up the kitchen around here! I'm tired of doing it every week.

I'm not saying that he's a bust. I'm saying he's a big disappointment right now. Suggs injury has left this defense vulnerable. JJ was let go...probably for a youth movement and an "on fire" young guy probably could have been as effective this year as an aging JJ. But that guy has not shown up. Disappointing. This team has a need and Upshaw was being asked "Can you help us?" I see a sholder shrug....not a guy on fire to help his team mates. I think the only reason Kindle made the team is because Upshaw has disappointed them and they have to find a way to get a pass rush. That's desperate. That caused some other guy to get cut....like Brown, who if Upshaw had his fire we'd be saying "JJ Who?" or "Another great find Ozzie!"

6-1...2 down in the bottom of the 9th...fingers crossed...
-
There's something wrong with him. He comes to camp overweight and out of shape. He's been hurt...in the tub. He hasn't made any plays. That's bullshit.
-
Painter is the best bet. He knows the offense and can execute it. Not sure if any back-ups out of work can pick up this offense and run it. He has led some good TD's drives including the only one last night. Painter...he's got throwing problems. Sometimes he looks great and then he has these brain fart throws.
-
Brown may lack speed and size but he is always around the ball...he lead that soft Ravens defense that we saw last night with 6 tackles. The rest were No Tackling Mo Fo's. They let the coaches and their team mates down. Considine sucks. I watched him. He's out of position, gets faked out, can't cover or tackle...he should not be in a Ravens uniform. Update: Rainey is a Raven. Kindle can't make a play

I saw Redman in 2 pre season games and he sucked. The guys who are being released are 3's...that's back-ups to the back-up. Taylor, Painter and any QB who is looking for a job today are not the answer. They all can run the scout team. That's it. If Joe goes down then so does the season.
-
I'd call the Rams playing their starters a "Fishee" move.

Bunch of No Tackling Mo-Fo's...

this is the kind of football you can expect to see on a regular basis if the League expands. Thompson and Bajama made the roster.
