This is the best Dolphins team that they have faced in awhile. Marshall is right...a defining game for them. Either they can hang with the big boys or go back to the drawing board. The Ravens will get their best shot...they...in return...will get the Ravens. I expect a close one. On the other hand...everybodies playing 'must win' games so that doesn't scare me.

That's it varav! The overall talent is the same amoung those teams, so the difference will be who comes together and plays the best, disciplined team football....with an attitude. 60 minute football. Hard hitting smashmouth ball. The phrase 'imposing your will' or 'wearing down an opponent' will apply to the overall winner in the evenly matched games. The age old phrase 'hit the playoffs hot and on a roll' will apply too.

Here comes the big 9 game stretch run to the playoffs. In this tight race, every game is very important. A full, solid game by offense, defense and special teams is what I'm looking for. Let's see this offense hit it's potential. The AFC North crown is there for the taking. AFC Championship too IMO. Nobody has clearly shown they are 'Elite' or going to be too hard to beat. The team that comes together, believes the championships are theirs for the taking and plays like champions, will take it. It's more mental now as I see it. Focus and execution. The 2010 Ravens need to come together and believe in themselves like the 2000 unit did. Every role and assignment executed every snap with every player determined not to be the weak link. Then they can achieve great things. "I hear you max!!!!!"

According to Shannahan. Rex Grossman....friggn'n Rex Grossman. Plus Shanny gives no explanation why, 8 weeks into the season, his franchise starting QB doesn't know the 2 minute drill. Obviously he thinks the owner and Redskin fans are dumbies. This can only happen in D.C.

This was a great weekend for the Ravens. Loved it. Also the Titans lost and tonight either the Colts or Texans will have a loss. The Ravens need this...only 6 playoff spots! It's week 8 and I'm doing some serious score board watching. There's no dominant team/teams...including the Ravens and that means a nail biting race. Texans 4-2 Colts 4-2 Ravens 5-2 Chiefs 5-2 Jets 5-2 Pats 6-1 Stealers 5-2 Dolphins 4-3 It's a log jam at the moment.

Titans lose...that's big for the 5-2 Ravens. The AFC playoff race will be tight. The Colts and Texans are 4-2...one will drop to 4-3. The Jets are 5-2...Chiefs 5-2...Pats 6-1...Stealers 5-1 at the moment... Only 6 playoff spots available folks.

The Redskins post game show is a real laffer. I find it enjoyable, comedic television...especially the fans text messages.."My week is ruined!"... One thing from that game...the Lions showed you want a dominant front 4 can do. Give them a better O line, running game and 1 shut down corner and they are in the playoffs every year....yea I know...they only have 2 wins. The Bengals pass rush showed what a lousey pass rush can do. Palmer is just a shadow of what he once was. T.O and Chads weekly TV shows, (which stink), tells everybody where their priorities lie. Poor Bills...2nd back to back OT loss on a FG. Troy Smith had a good game.

That's good representation. It is the top 100 and there have been a ton of great players since the league began. It's terrific having the pleasure to watch those greats play. There's good, then special then great. We've been able to witness all of that. Gino was one of my favorites. In many ways he was the glue that held those great Colt teams together. He set the tone and standard like Ray Lewis does today. Certainly Johnny U and Berry did too. To have 3 greats in the Ravens early beginning in Ed, J.O. and Ray is a total blessing. The generation of Baltimore football fans who missed out on great football in Baltimore got to taste it very early...a Super Bowl championship in just 5 years has to have hooked this city and state on the Ravens. How it was played 'back in the day'... Well...it looks like not much has changed...

Look...we all know the refs are on the Stealers payroll. What wasn't a touchdown they called a touchdown. Then that's questioned so they had to find a way to salvage the situation. The Dolphin player clearly falls on the ball....later emerges with it but they found a way to make a call I've never witnessed in my life..."OH! We don't know who had possesion of the ball!". "Sorry!
