  1. Just saw this story on Allen. He made most of his rookie season. He had another 350 yards receiving and 2 TDs. He was 3rd receiver on the team behind Aiken and SR. Some think he was drafted more for his receiving than running but he stepped up big with over 800 yards in 6 games starting. Not bad. That's all I'm saying. Throw in WEst's 200 yards and the position had 1300 yards, more than Gurley's 1100 yards who was top RB in last year's draft. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Buck-Allen-Made-The-Best-Of-His-Rookie-Opportunities/df20ffaa-08fd-4b64-bb53-01ba95f5db2a
  2. What play action? I forgot to mention West who had about 200 yards. The Ravens are impressed by him and when Forsett retires, Allen and West will be the two work horses along with Talley who were was injured too. I'm just saying any time you get over 1,000 yards after your star goes down is pretty impressive. Look at all the teams that didn't. Of course, Ravens have a good line and are great at run blocking especially on the right side with Yanda and Wagner but that's part of it - part of the continuity after your star RB goes down. Everyone pulls their weight.
  3. Here's the top rushers for 2015. Top 2 guys had 1400 yards each or a little more Gurley was next with 1100 The Ravens RB position is next with 1100 between two RBs, after the starter went down who gained 1100 yds last year. The position still got 1100 from the starter and backup when promoted to starter. The next two teams Dallas And Jets had 1,000 yards. Im just saying we had an 1100 yard rusher even after losing our starter and forget stats. Ravens had a bad season because of all the injuries to starters. http://www.nfl.com/stats/player?seasonId=2015&seasonType=REG&Submit=Go
  4. Message to the troll. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  5. Forsett had about 600+ yards when he was injured. Enter Allen who had 500+ yards to finish the year. Once again Ravens have a 1,000 yard rusher. Ravens lose Byner and get Jamal, Ravens lose Jamal and get Rice. Ravens lose Rice and get Forsett. Ravens lose Forsett and bring up Allen. That's called great continuity and stability at the RB but even with another 1100 yard rusher Trestman passed like crazy and set new team records for passing attempts and completions. I wouldn't mind Ron Staley at LT from the draft. Just think of all those holes on the left side with him and Jensen blocking. Ray Berry said Unitas was getting killed from the left side so they drafted Jim Parker and he said we never heard from that side again. Parker is HOFer. Same could be true of Staley, 2d best LT in draft but only if KO is gone. http://www.csnmidatlantic.com/ravens
  6. LT Ronnie Staley of Notre Dame but only if KO is gone. This is an early mock and we'll know if KO is here by draft day. Staley is the second best LT in the game. Tunsil of Ole Miss will go in the first 4. I've seen him as high as #1. If KO leaves you can plug Staley in and forget about the left side for the next decade ala JO. It would give us the best line in football with all pro Yanda and future all pro Wagner on the right side and they've been called the best 1-2 punch on the right the last two years and either Ryan Jensen or Urschel taking LG. Urschel will be the Center when Zuttah leaves. Jensen performed well when KO moved to LT. If he is still here at LT Mel has us taking Treadwell but Oz will have to trade down because while he's the best receiver on the board, he's not a top 10 pick so it wouldnt be a good value pick there like Flacco wasn't so he traded down. So Ozzie could trade down and get him and pick up an extra body which he loves to do. Mel thinks Ramsey will go to JAGs just above us. McShay said the same in his early mock. There's a lot of options here for the Ravens including Hargreaves considered the second best CB on the board and a pure cover guy according to McShay but at 5'9, the taller receivers might bounce him around. Elsewhere over on twitter there's a lot of favorable comments from last year's draft in reference to Zadarius Smith who Ozzie got in the Ngata trade from DET. Everyone said he did well and one is he's the most under-rated pass rushers on the team. Maxx was the other player Oz got for Ngata who started out the year on the IR like his Ravens brethren and didn't do much all year. With guys from the last two drafts like Jernigan and Z, we have our pass rushers. We still need a guy off the edge but we're in better shape than most fans think. Chalk another one up to Ozzie. Peter King said teams never learn. Nobody wins when you trade with NE and Baltimore. They're fleece you every time.
  7. Ditto on the QBs. I like Carolina and hate Manning and Marsha.
  8. Which leads us to #3. Ravens just missed a team record passing by 90 yards with over 5700 yards gained, which leads us to #5 less rushing attempts ever by the Ravens. We told you so. We said Trest scored more points in Chicago than any other team. Now just think what he could do with Perriman, Treadwell and SR next year plus a bulked up Maxx.
  9. With at least 2 starters out - Suggs and um, Elam plus Dooom for a while and others. They never had their entire D together for the entire year.
  10. Ditto on the later rounds for receivers. I posted that on another thread and mentioned Brandon Marshal, Boldin and Hiney Ward as play makers taken in the middle rounds or later. Another poor draft? By whom? Ozzie? LOL You just mentioned Campy as a possibility drafted by Ozzie in the 7th round two years ago. And speaking of playmakers, Ozzie has one of them too but he was out all year but if he comes back and drafts Treadwell, he'll have his 2 playmakers and the fastest two players in the last two drafts. Treadwell should be there and would be the BPA. Mosley was runner up for D-ROY beaten out by Donald. CJ beat out Shazier drafted by Piss who had a good playoff game vs Denver Sunday and is upcoming while CJ slumped but Im calling it the sophomore slump - hopefully. CJ won year 1 while Shazier won year 2 but he didn't have D. Smith around him taking tackles. OK, Elam was a miss but so were all the top safeties drafted in that class. Ricky Vacarro of the Saints was suspended. Ozzie still needs help there but should be able to get it in this draft after taking his weapon in round 1. Some good cover guys will be there. Another guy drafted two years ago was Gilmore and with the additions of Maxx and Nicky Boyle from whittle bitty Delaware who is the best blocker on the line, they were all voted as the top 15 TEs in football. There was even a discussion here on trading Gilmore for a play maker. Jernigan is another blue chipper who's is still finding his way but has had his moments. I posted a link a few weeks ago calling Brand Williams and Donald of the Rams as the best pockett rushers in NF. Brandon was s 3rd round pick. Ozzie also signed SR and D. Smith along the way to fill up holes and he drafted Urschel who filled in once again at Center when Zuttah went down. He is our future Center. He also won the wild card game for the first time ever with an undrafted Hurst at LT. He also signed Melvin off the street to win the wild card game in Piss. He also drafted the best RG in the game and last year Ravens had the best RG and RT in the game after drafting Wagner as RT two years ago and with a broken foot at the time while other teams ignored him. This year after Urschel was plugged in at Center, Ryan was plugged in at LG to take KO's place after he was plugged in for Monroe's at LT and could leave for a big pay day. Ravens always have a next man up on the line. Ryan has been battling sleep apnea since training camp. Last year Ravens had best right side of an oline in football and the line was rated in top 5 for run block this year, it was top 2 last year. It was ranked around 9 by football outsiders over all. KJ was the best blocking FB in his draft couple of years ago. Ozzie's #1 pick last year should be back but was injured like so many others on the team this year. Oz just needs to concentrate on the secondary and draft a Treadwell and Ravens will be back in playoff again next year - more than most teams this side of NE. Ravens problems weren't for a lack of drafting. Again, all the top safeties in Elam's class were bad. All that said, this is still the most critical draft since the 01 draft after they won SB35 and they had to gut the team the next year. Ozzie got a Heap, Hartwell and Rabac. Not bad as Heap won a lot of playoff games for Ravens and Hartwell became one of the best rushers in NFL and Rabac a tope lineman going to Skins. Oz will do it again drafting higher than ever since, well, he took Jamal Lewis with his last pick that high up. Don't forget all these recent drafts you mentioned as being poor were at or near the bottom most year. IN OZ WE TRUST
  11. Damn, I was hoping he'd be coaching for the Ravens. I knew he wanted to and it would have been a natural except for one thing. HARBs didn't want him after he got rid of him and that was for the club house revolt he led with Boldin and Pollard over wearing pads at practice. HARBs acquiesced but never forgot it and got rid of them after they won SB 47. Ozzie said the departures were over production not personalities which was bunk. Boldin had a monster year in SF gaining 200 yards in their first game and just missing going to the SB by 1 play. Pollard had a great year before being injured, released and then retiring his second year. Ed was truly finished landing a big contract in Houston and was cut but ended up with Rex in NY and then released and then he retired. I kept waiting for the announcement to first be in the Ring of HOnor which came but no way was HARBs bringing him back to coach. Damn shame because he was the best safety in history and could have taught Elam a thing or two about playing the game. Rex wants him to emphasize studying film and teach his players how to do it. Meanwhile, Gronk is having a another great playoff season with Pollard gone. Last year he had a field day vs Ravens secondary where the last time Pollard ruined him on a typical vicious hit. He sent HARBs a big thank you note for getting rid of his tormentor, not only with the Ravens but several other teams as well. Sometimes, HARBs really sucks and this is one of these times. w.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-ed-reed-added-to-buffalo-bills-coaching-staff-20160113-story.html
  12. Speaking of no play makers, did anyone notice in the Squeelers game in Denver that Toussaint fumbled the ball which was picked up by Denver and then they marched down the field for the deciding TD. Denver even made the 2 pt conversion and standing up. Toussant was drafted by the Ravens and was the last man cut. Pissburgh picked him up and he played in 5 games this year. Had 40 some yards but lost it big today. Tough break. http://www.nfl.com/player/fitzgeraldtoussaint/2550738/profile
  13. Yea, the Squeelers have all those receivers listed above and both their guys right now vs Denver in their playoff game had over 100 yards by the 2d qtr vs Denver. Antonio Brown had 189 yards by the 2d qtr. This is what we need. That said, with all those great weapons, Ravens have same number of SB trophies as they do in the modern era w/o a QB and a WR in SB 35. Ozzie does make up for it and won all those playoff games signing Mason, Boldin and SR who almost got us to SB last year with a banged up defense. That said, all those weapons the Squeerls have is why I want Treadwell in the draft. Bring back a healthy Perriman and we have the fastest two players in the last two drafts and watch Joe go to work with those weapons plus a bulked up Maxx and Ozzie can still get a good CB in the 2d round but we'd have all that speed like Piss with Treadwell and a healthy Perriman. NOTE ON BOLDIN: We don't win SB 47 w/o him and the 3d down play. It broke SFs back and he had even a better year in SF, a monster year where he did better.
  14. Exactly and I stated that above. Treadwell would be the BPA @ #6 and for the reasons you stated. I just listed the pass rushers that will be there us in case Ramsey, Hargraves dn Treadwell are gone. We're in great position to get an impact player to get us back in the playoffs.
  15. Ok, here's draft tek's power board for rankings. Hargraves is higher than Ramsey @ #2 while Ramsey is # 10 and got a -1. Top pass rushers are Robinson from Alabama so you know Ozz will like him. and Nkemdiche of Ole Miss, Bullard of Florida and Ogbah of OK State. They're all DTs except Robinson who is a DE but the best down pass rushers. I've seen Nkemdiche going high on mocks. Jags will take either Hargraves, Ramsey or one of these guys, whomever they like the best. Point is, there will be enough pass rushers for Ravens to take. http://drafttek.com/
  16. Maybe he's healthy now. I'll look it up but like the scenario if he is healthy.
  17. Walter Football has Ravens drafting Treadwell and saying the same thing I did that Ravens would have the fastest two players in the last two drafts. Oz has never drafted 2 WRs back to back but it makes sense given the state of the position and Treadwell would be the BPA there. Bring back a healthy Perrimen and watch Joe go to work plus a bulked up Maxx. This mock has Jags taking Ramsey but here's a report that a lot of teams including one that drafts well don't like Ramsey at least, not in the first round. And that's why it's still a thing yo yo's. The info keeps changing as players keep moving down and up the board. Just saying - ya know? Cowboys have already said they'd like a QB for Romeo to groom. That would be Goff or the kid from Memphis St. Florida State image: http://walterfootball.com/college/FloridaState_logo.gif Opinions are mixed on Jalen Ramsey. Some teams we've spoken to believe he's great and happens to be worthy of a top-10 pick. Others, not so much. In fact, one organization, which has drafted very well, has him as a second-round prospect. I suspect Jerry Jones may want a Florida State corner, especially considering the team's glaring issues in the secondary. Ramsey would look great across from Orlando Scandrick. 18. Tall and lanky is a weakness? Perrimen was tall over 6' and huge while Waller was 6'6. Brandon Marshal is 6'4. LOL - That's what Trestman loves -tall receivers and had Brandon in Chicago and the above 2 here, so that size is what he wants and demands in a draft. If this guy can run and box out like the report says and doesn't drop the ball, he'll be a good one in the 2d round. He can also bulk up. A lot of receivers are taken from the 3rd rounds on down like HIney Ward. If Ramsey is gone I wouldn't mind Treadwell if Ozzie rates him that high but I'm sure it would be one of the pass rushers.
  19. Ramsey and Spence in the 2d sounds like a great draft. Suggs secret was his first step. He was past his blocker by the first step. That is what separates the great rushers from the rest of the crowd. You can't teach that. It's God given talent.
  20. That could happen if they need a CB and they need defense. I don't expect Ramsey to be there for us.
  21. Ok, get this. McShay's way to early mock has Ravens drafting Ramsey at 6th spot. I don't believe it myself but that would be an exciting moment. He has Bosa of course going to Tenn at #1 and Clowns taking the QB from Memphis at #2. That is funny because they're already trying to trade party boy and nobody wants him despite showing some talent and potential in 6 games but they've had him too long. So they get another QB which is why this team always loses with all the coaches, QBs and GMs that have come and gone. I really feel for Cleve fans. McSay then has Dallas taking Goff for Romeo to groom. Then two pass rushers are drafted leaving Ramsey for Ravens at #6. I don't believe it but I'll take it. Even if it isn't Ramsey then one of the best pass rushers will be there and you know Ozzie, it will be a pass rusher or DB unless he likes Treadwell and wants the WR monkey off his back like he got the QB monkey off his back drafting Joe - his previously achilles heel which cost him a few more SB rings. Some yo yo site had Ravens getting Bosa. He had Tunsil the best LT in the game going #1. No way or seldom does Fisher or anyone draft the best LT over the best pass rusher from the edge or line @ #1. I want Ramsey over Bosa anyway after a report I read said that a lot of white fans think of Bosa as the second coming of JJ WATTS, which he is not. He's not as big and powerful and doesn't overwhelm anyone like Watts but is fast and more of a finesse guy. A good pass rusher but no JJ. Someone here last posted he didn't like Hargraves of Clemson and they lost to Alabama. So put me in his camp. He'll definitely be there at #6. McShay said he is the best pure cover guy in the draft but another report said he is better off at Safety in NFL and was a 50-50 guy in stopping plays. He'll get over powered by the bigger receivers like AJ Green and Clemson lost Mon.
  22. I just saw the hit. He was going for the head trying to break his neck. What a prick. So on ESPN they asked the question should Marvin be fired for the team's melt down at the end. I said maybe reprimanded but not fired. There was a hit in the GB game, not like the above, but a D-guy slapped Rogers in the head pretty hard with an opened hand but no flag. He was even aiming for the head because he was jumping and reaching over the guy trying to block him. All this stuff was allowed in the 60s including slapping and o-lineman in the side of the head while brezzing by. Ordell Brasse did it all the time for the old Colts. Weeb taught him but in SB 3 he showed his o-lineman how do duck the slaps.
  23. My comments were before the game. Burfict and Porter could both be suspended according to nfl.com. Im a. I always wish the worse for them. wish the worse for them. Anyone remember HARBs first season up there and Mason caught what would have been the winning TD. Ref said he bobbled the ball but replay clearly showed it was a TD and league confirmed it. We could have been first team to go to SB with a rookie head coach and QB. There have been many other bitter plays up there that a disputed penalty cost us the game. That's just one reason why I hate them so much. Burfict has been trouble even with his own teammates wherever he's been and even suspended by his college coach for like 8 games. A lot of fans here wanted him in the lower rounds. He would have been a top 10 pick. Porter has always been trouble going back to falling on Heaps ankle and ruining it before the snap, another bitter moment in Pissburgh and that's the way real Ravens fans spell it or Shittsburgh.
  24. We've had guys spitting on players and just about everyone out side of Bmore think Ray was a murderer. Our SB 35 team was often called the bad boys of football. The Squeelers have kept Ravens from going to several SBs. Long suffering Bengals fans deserve a SB trophy.
  25. Sorta like the drive and the fumble and Cleveland. They're due for a break. Five straight POs for Cinci.
