  1. Because they wrote a book and a movie about him.
  2. What's wrong with Arrelious Benn?
  3. I wouldn't go that far... to me, he sounds just about right for janitorial work.
  4. Brian Billick fell in love with his arm strength?
  5. How about a starring role in "Blind Side 2: The Other Guy", the blockbuster sequel to Michael Oher's inspirational story? The film would chronicle the rise, and fall, and rise, and fall, of yet another gargantuous delinquent who became an NFL starter, only with the bonus "displaced veteran" angle.
  6. I love complex data that I have no idea what it means or how it was gathered, but I can reference to win an argument. (This isn't a dig; I really do.)
  7. Someone needs to explain to this guy that islands do not float. His head might explode.
  8. I wonder if Pittsburgh would be interested in McGahee...
  9. So I guess Jimmy Clausen is going to either Seattle or Cleveland, then...
  10. Yeah, that part is great. (Granted, given the run-blockers on our line, we would have had success on the ground regardless) All I'm saying is that the only thing Gaither has in common with Ogden is his size and position.
  11. You may be overstating Gaither's ability a bit...
  12. Cody has reportedly arrived at Raven's HQ at a ripped 360, sporting a Gerard-Butler-esque six-pack. I know our depth at DT is suspect, but can we really be looking at Cody as a first rounder? Trading down and taking him? Because plugging the run is definitely not our problem, and that seems to be all this guy does (aside from blocking extra points)
  13. Okay, but if they score a touchdown, it could be over (and we've seen teams end games quick in OT with long passing plays that catch the D off-guard), so there are pros and cons of both.
  14. We probably wouldn't have made it to the AFC Championship in 2008 if this rule had been in place... but at the same time, we did play pretty lousy in that game (other than some KEY turnovers). It's a fair rule, and it will be well-received in practice. Now, the question is... will it ever get instituted in the regular season?
  15. That's not that bad, considering we still have our 1st and 2nd rounders, and have brought in 3 quality players through FA and trade. (Consider Boldin our 3rd rounder if you want) It's not like we set the world on fire with our late-rounders anyways... and we can sign as many UDFA's as we want.
  16. And the thing to remember is that this guy was outdoing himself in Detroit, of all places. If he could get fired up over there, imagine how fired up he'll be playing on a defense filled with Pro Bowlers. I think we sometimes overrate our own guys because they're playing on a special defense, the same way that some guys are stars in college because of the talent around them but can't make an NFL roster. There aren't a lot of guys who have gone on to be stars outside of our organization, whereas the list of the ones who have gone on to underperform is quite lengthy. (So, yeah, this is a great move. Think: Trevor Pryce, when we first got him)
  17. One of the best episodes in a long time. They really outdid themselves.
  18. Trent Dilfer ... or Peter Boulware.
  19. Do what, now? I don't see him falling to the 2nd round...
  20. That's what they said about Rod Blagojevich... !
  21. Have you participated in contact sports at all? I'm not assuming that you haven't... but it would help to know if you have any experience with this. Because I have a lot of experience to speak from.
  22. We've agreed to participate in a never-ending pissing contest... what more do you want?
  23. False. If an athlete's body is not given enough time to heal between events, there will be an elevated risk of injury. Not soreness; injury. Injuries are not things that go away with an extra few days of rest; we're talking weeks of dealing with muscle strains, tears, and pulls. Contest this if you want, but please do a bit of research before you do.
  24. No tight ends whatsoever? None? You sure about that? And how many tight ends do you need on a 53-man roster, versus how many corners? Foxworth, Washington, Carr... that's 3. As far as I know, Walker isn't on our roster at this time, so Vasher is just as relevant as Walker at this point in time. And unless you have some news from Webb's doctor, I don't know how you can count him at the moment either. So 3 corners leaves us at least 2 short, which falls right in line with 1 tight end leaving us 2 short, in the event that we're looking to carry 5 (active, healthy) CB's and 3 TE's on the opening-day roster.
