Ok you're talking about the worse case scenario and i am talking about the best case scenario, there is no wrong or right, BTW i know the rules about the program i don't need to learn anything from your pompous high and mighty ass.

No, again, slowly for you. We do not know if he is already in the program, got it? The NFl keeps that confidential, in simpler words- they don't tell the public, they can't because of the rules in the CBA-Collective Bargaining Agreement. Also in that agreement are rules governing arrests & drug tests. Those two are seperate items.

We do not know if he has failed ahy drug tests. Drug tests, that is, done by the NFL not by the police- again, two seperate issues. If the charges are dropped, yes, nothing will be done by the NFL in all likelyhood. HOWEVER, and this is the last time I will say this and address you since you cannot have an adult conversation; in all likelyhood, he will plead out, this means plead guilty to a lesser charge. IF he does, then the NFL, according to the rules in the CBA, has no choice but to suspend him and fine him for conduct detrimental to the league. This carries, in most caes, a two game suspension and fine.

IF he has failed an NFL drug test and, they test him again and he fails, it is an automatic four game suspension, again, as outlined in the CBA. GOT IT?

There are no best case or worst case scenarios and yes, you were misinformed.

As for what your alter ego stated, we are talking about the same thing. He, like you, think pot should be legal. As I stated, agains slowly for you so you can understand, it would not and does not matter if pot were legal, currently the NFL has it and many other substances, some legal, against their rules for use. Just, as I said, as do many professions. Crayon maker may not be covered, so you are safe.

It's useless to try and argue with a "special" person. You'll figure that out eventually.

There are a number of things, such as over the counter medications, that are legal to take, but still banned by the NFL. Just because something maybe be legal for the non-NFL person, does not mean they can take it. Even in Colorado where pot is legal, the police and EMS personell cannot use it,nor can doctors, nurses, etc.

Every job has rules, prohibits the use of certain things that are perfectly legal for everyone who doesn't work at a particular place. It is called life....

Sorry Chief. I'm not as big a fan of lying and hypocricy as you seem to be.

@ T, a simple assault is a misdemeanor in New Jersey. So pleading down to a lesser charge won't be an option. Best case scenario is the elevator camera doesn't reveal Ray hitting her with an upper cut.and he receives probation before judgement.

Worse case is the video reveals that he does hit her, then the state can raise the charge to 1st degree assault which can carry a 10 year jail term.

Again, let's wait until the entire tape is released, because that tape that's out there really shows nothing.

Legalize and tax it. Colorado's raking in millions while Owe'Malleys taxing the rain coming out of my downspout.

Good thing he's not taxing snow...yet. Or is that in the fine print?

I could not agree more. Apparently the police agencies of the state are going to protest this idea. I guess they are scared for their jobs program.

I remember the state being opposed to casino gambling (even though you can buy lotto tickets in every corner store), until it was politically convenient to switch. Legal weed will be he eventually, as soon as the state needs money. For the record I've never evened smoked it. I just think what a grown adult wants to do in his own home is his business.

Agreed. Looks like Texas might topple fairly soon. It is on the ballot again in Ore where it lost by very little in 2012, Alaska, Cal, Zona (Joe Arpio is gonna be pissed), Vermont, Mizou, NH, NJ, and Okl. That doesn't take into consideration states that have decriminalized. I think within 10 yrs 2/3 of the country will be legal and the feds will have dropped it from the schedule 1 classification.

The officials drug their feet for 20 years and killed the biggest cash cow they had which is horse racing, md racing stinks compared to neighboring states of pa, del and wva. And guess what, it's not coming back, the damage is done while md sat back and played the dem vs rep game

I think MD should legalize sports book and sell it off to the Bmore casino. Fight the feds to have it. If I had billions of dollars I would love to add to that casino a new racetrack, arena, and hotel. It would be a huge complex that could raise the racing industry and make the state so much money.

Pops, before I left for the south I was in the construction manufacturing business, and I swear that new casino the are building was supposed to be a super track. The greatness would be held there as well as casino. Now I read it's just a casino. Oh well, that's another issue dumping money or lack thereof into Pimlico

I am convinced that racing was dying and would have died no matter what they did to try to save it. In all my life I have known one member of my friends or family that has gone to a track to watch or gamble on the races. I have known plenty of people who wanted to go to the Preakness but that was just for the party. Actual interest in horse racing or gambling, no one I have ever known except for my brother who briefly thought he could beat the system when he was in his early 20s. That lasted a month or so.

As for me, I dont like it. Seeing one awful injury and subsequent euthanasia was enough for me.

That is what I would do. I would do a 16,000 seat or so stadium. The track would allow for a couple of festivals a yr. I wuld also have race/concert days. Lower scale frm Preakness but the same general concept.

and lot's of scantily clad women...right?

That's just what this thread needed....a little more pizzazz!

Now...can somebody please tie this all up and show proof beyond a reasonable doubt that everything here relates to Deonte Thompson?

Dee...what drawer do we keep the pot and rolling papers in?

Absolutely wrong, 's racing was alive and well til west va and Delaware passed their slots bills in the early 90s.They started to draw horsemen from New York down, then their purses started getting bigger from the revenue of slots. Then the dagger, Delaware and west va seen Maryland still dragging their feet and went to the md horsemen and said bring your horses to our tracks and they would provide free horse transportation to and from Delaware and Charlestown,

Now you had 's horses leaving which in turn led to less horses running at laurel and Pimlico which in turn led to fewer fan turn out which in turn led to races with only 4 horses running, a horse gambler won't even bet a race with 4 horses running. Md used to race approximately 200 days a year, with the loss of horses and races it is down to 125 days a year. Pimlico used to open in March and run thru June. I'm pretty sure they don't open now til 2 weeks before the preakness.

All this was done with just revenue from the slots. Charlestown and Delaware did not get table games til the 2000's. And by then the damage was done. Then throw Pennsylvania into the mix with gambling bills passed. And it's the demise of md racing.

And as long as they have Pimlico standing, let's face it, it's an eye sore, and continue to try and run a successful preakness they will be embarrassed. There is only so much lipstick you can put on a pig.
