Spen Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Same here! Flash is one of her favorite shows right now and she's not big into superhero movies/shows usually. I think she likes the characters being young professionals, and some humor added in there, very relatable outside of the whole super power thing haha. After Flash, Legends of Tomorrow is her #2 superhero show and Arrow is #3.That's what she, and I really too, like about The Flash. They do a good job with both advancing the characters and the story. Most of them are fun to watch, even the bad ones. I haven't seen Legends yet and have only seen the crossover episodes of Arrow. It looks good though, maybe in the summer I'll try to go through them. papasmurfbell Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 The last Earth 2 ep of the Flash was a blast. I am really hoping that Barry's dad is the flash in an alternate universe and helps him. Quote

I thought Jay Garrick was the Flash of Earth 2 and Zoom has already taken his speed? Yes I agree last two episodes of Flash have been awesome to watch. I'm really loving the alternative universe angle. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 He is. But the guy who plays Barry's dad was the Flash from the 90s series. You know they cast that on purpose. They have to use him for an alternate Flash. Quote

Spen Posted February 13, 2016 Author Posted February 13, 2016 Ah didn't know that! Interesting...Hamill was the Trickster on that show too. I think his episode was the only one I saw. I didn't really like that version. Quote
Spen Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 Lol, for some reason I thought it was the finale of Agent Carter this week. As it was winding down I was thinking it was the oddest most depressing finale ever. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Is that show any good? I'm going to be laid up next week for surgery and was thinking of getting into The Flash on Netflix. Anybody ever watch Black Mirror? Quote

Anybody ever watch Black Mirror?I never have seen Black Mirror but hear good things. I really like The Flash. I like Agent Carter but really like the lead actress and Jarvis. They are both great. It's usually lighter than most Marvel things. They are only 8-10 episodes per season. Really good bad guys too. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Have it recorded, so will watch Carter. Never got into Agents of Shield. Black Mirror is great, but really dark. Quote
dc. Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Anyone watch Making A Murderer on Netflix? Oy. Quote

A lot OK I have now seen the whole pilot of Legends. It was OK. Maybe it will flesh out some. Oliver will be in ep 6 with a missing arm as an old man. That is pretty cool. Here is the pic of Arrow missing his left arm. I guess he has a prosthetic. I like the goatee. Quote
Spen Posted February 19, 2016 Author Posted February 19, 2016 Anyone watch Making A Murderer on Netflix? Oy.It was really interesting and compelling. And far more entertaining than I would have guessed. Quote
cravnravn Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Is this the year of the 17 year locust? I'm seeing talk of it. If it is something is wrong, I built my home in 2001 on the MD PA border, we moved in December 26th. I recall the spring of 2002 as being the locust swarm, I remember we couldn't sit out back because the noise was overwhelming. The locust should come back in 2 years not this spring, right? Quote

I was in my current house when they were last here and l've been here a little more than 15 years. I haven't heard any talk of them yet by anyone else either. Quote

Spen Posted March 3, 2016 Author Posted March 3, 2016 It looks like we do have a brood of cicadas this year but it's not the big one. This year Brood V. The Great Eastern Brood, the big one, will be back in 2021. Something to look forward too! Quote

cravnravn Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Gas prices, really..from 1.59 to 1.91 in 3 days, did we run out of oil or something. Quote
dc. Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Haven't seen that jump... 1.59 to 1.69 here. But prices of oil barrels did some last week, about 30% (though, it was so low at $29 that 30% only took it to $36 or so). US shale finally started to taper, they can't handle lower prices like regular drillers. But heard it is back down today, have to check. If you paid $1.91, either you got ripped off or there is a tax change down there. Quote
Spen Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Didn't some countries agree to cut production? I'm hearing it may be $2.50 a gallon by summer Quote
