vmax
He has a shot to break Strahans fake record....he could get another 3 on Sunday! The Jacksonville Jaguars lead the NFL in sacks allowed with 54. What makes that stat even worse is the next closest team (Washington) has allowed 46. The dysfunctional Redskins, who have played three quarterbacks this season, have done a worse job protecting the quarterback than the Jaguars. The Jaguars are on pace to give up 66 sacks in 2014, which would break the team record for most sacks allowed (63 in 2001)This week’s matchup against Baltimore is even more problematic than last week’s game against Houston and defensive end J.J. Watt. The Ravens’ 37 sacks is the fourth-highest total in the NFL, and they have one of the league’s top pass-rushing tandems. Elvis Dumervil is tied with Kansas City’s Justin Houston for the league lead with 16.0 sacks and Terrell Suggs has 8.0.
papasmurfbell
The only way it is possible is if he gets 3 Sunday. I think at best he gets 1 against cle. I really don't think he gets there.
vmax
Yea...I think he needs 3 on Sunday too. Now he has one more individual goal on the horizon.Dumervil has a piece of paper simply with “23” written on it taped to the inside of his locker. That’s how many sacks it would take to break New York Giants Hall of Famer Michael Strahan’s all-time NFL single-season sack record, set in 2001.“Twenty-three. It seems like it’s so far away, right?” Dumervil said.Maybe not. This week’s prey, the Jacksonville Jaguars, have allowed the most sacks in the league by far with 54. The next closest team, the Washington Redskins, have allowed 46. By comparison, the Ravens have surrendered 16.http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Elvis-Dumervil-Terrell-Suggs-Lead-NFLs-Sack-Duos/d3591cc2-59cd-40a6-9aef-727050d2c0e9
GrubberRaven
He needs 2.5 a game, for the rest of the season...
papasmurfbell
He has to get heavy Sunday. He will be going against good OT's the last 2 weeks.
cravnravn
He has to get heavy Sunday. He will be going against good OT's the last 2 weeks.2 good OTs but 2 below average qbs, and that can lead to sacks too.
tsylvester
2 good OTs but 2 below average qbs, and that can lead to sacks too. eh, he has shown that when he is going up a good tackle, he is a no show in the games. HIs sacks, a suprising number considering how the number snuck up on most people, have come in bunches and against bad teams, bad lines, I doubt he gets it and Strahan's is only "fake" based on the one play by Favre. I can't fault them for it, he played great in every game that year.
papasmurfbell
2 good OTs but 2 below average qbs, and that can lead to sacks too. That can be true. But week 17 Manziel could be hard to get to.

RavensFanMania
If he gets 3-4 this weekend vs the Jags then it is in sight. Other than that he's had a great year either way.
