millz58
Did I just here this right on ESPN, that the steelers are trading Santonio Holmes to the Jets for a draft pick? Please back me up, someone, or I'm halluciginating...

Guest BallTMore
Wow! I think he is going to be suspended for 4 games, but still, a 5th? Glad he's out of the division! Thanks Rex!
REEDPIXOFF
Amazing. Will Stillers make a move for Marshall or Bryant despite their character concerns? Do they know a suspension for Ben is coming and are giving up on 2010? Fax Rex and the Jets are looking damn good.
millz58
Glad he's out of the division! Thanks Rex!Yeah, bet he'd do some good with the Jets... Heck they took Edwards, and Ravens have taken their chances with ill-fated players, is Rex doing it too? brief confirmation of the trade http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=5077088
colincac
Unbelievable that Pitt would give him away for a 5th round pick. Great day for the Ravens. Steelers HAVE to take a WR early now, and if Bryant is gone, they are going to be reaching. love it
ForceEight
They really don't have to. Especially if Wallace becomes as good as it looks like he might. Tomorrow (today, actually) is the big day. Let's just hope the D.A. hates the Steelers. Or something.
vmax
If it's for character issues then they should let Rthslxxssbrrgrrr go too. Why have a double standard?
83eh01
Glad to see him gone I just hope they don't find somebody as good for replacement
thundercleetz
I echo the thoughts of everyone else, thank goodness this guy is out of the division. He always seemed to be on the other end of one of those Roethlisberger throws of faith from one side of the field to the other. Holmes ability to come back to the QB and get open when Ben was on the run was so frustrating. Glad to see him gone. Lets just now hope that Dez Bryant doesn't fall to the Steelers. However, would the Steelers get rid of one troubled receiver to grab another one? On the flip side, if Sanchez becomes anything near a good or average QB, the Jets are going to be trouble. papasmurfbell
I think Rex has a short lead. He needs to win big and soon. I don't know if they can gell this yr but keep this group for a few and they will be almost unstopable.
deeshopper
And as a welcome to New York, the league just suspended him for 4 games.
papasmurfbell
That is why he went for nothing. Had the league not been out to suspend him he would still be in Pitt.
