varaven45 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Does anyone have a feel for his return; preseason, regular season ? Quote
vmax Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I don't know but the Ravens are hiding something. Quote
thundercleetz Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Some updates: @TDavenport_NFL: Harbaugh said he hopes Perriman can come back but continues to leave it to medical staff. Said his absence leaves a pit in his stomach. @TDavenport_NFL: @ERICWOOD22 Don't see him on sidelines during practice. Did see him at the game though. @TDavenport_NFL: @ERICWOOD22 He has a brace on. @TDavenport_NFL: Yes. Said to be a sprain https://t.co/d72lPzZ5js Turron Davenport is a new Ravens reporter for the Baltimore Times. He has been the best source of Ravens information this summer. Definitely recommend you guys follow. Quote
varaven45 Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 Ha ha ! Unfortunately, Max, as always, you are probably right. Why is it, after 20 years, this org cannot find success in drafting a WR ? It's like the Holy Grail to the Ravens Quote
tsylvester Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 could be worse, could be Kevin White, crack in his shin, out the first six weeks of the season........ Quote
TBird Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Latest on twitter: TURRON DAVENPORT @TDavenport_NFL 20m20 minutes agoBreshad Perriman not practicing again for the Ravens. He hasn't practiced since the first day of camp. Also, remember LaQuan Williams? Dallas just worked him out so they're more desperate than usif they're working him out. Quote
oldno82 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I don't know. I hope I'm wrong. I'm beginning to think Perriman has a serious injury. But: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/John-Harbaugh-Hates-That-Breshad-Perriman-Is-Still-Out/ac8a4344-00d6-4c34-844e-cdc992441ab7 Quote
varaven45 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 I'm not feeling good about this either and almost resigning myself to no Perriman this pre-season.It wouldn't surprise me if we are still talking about this in October/November and man, oh man if we only had speed at the WR position. Quote
TBird Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Jason Cole reports that Perriman is going for MRI. Is this just a procedural thing? Mikie Preston said he went from cast on leg to boot. None of this sounds good. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Good lord the first day of camp, this downright sucks. Quote
thundercleetz Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I'm not sure if it's related, but Perriman had knee problems growing up: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/ucf-knights/os-ucf-breshad-perriman-nfl-draft-0430-20150429-story.html Quote
varaven45 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Yeah I don't know if the cat can endure the rigors of an NFL season if he can'hack the preseason. Or maybe this is just a fluke. Let's hope so Quote
TBird Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Interesting question about being related. My my brother and nephew are over 6' and have had feet and back problemsgrowing up and now my brother might need knee replacement. They have large feet - size 12 and they're both flat footed. That causes the backaches so the height does have something to do with back and knee probs. Quote
thundercleetz Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 @JasonColeBR: To reiterate, #Ravens sent first round pick Breshad Perriman for an MRI yesterday on his nagging knee injury. @JasonColeBR: Source said MRI results for #Ravens WR Breshad Perriman were "normal." Just healing slow. Should be back in a week or so. Quote
varaven45 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Thanks Cleetz. The diagnosis of "normal" is encouraging. Lets hope its a good healing. Quote
tgann68 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 so it takes 3 weeks of being out to have an MRI done? Something is wrong here. Quote
thundercleetz Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 so it takes 3 weeks of being out to have an MRI done? Something is wrong here.He had an MRI originally after the injury. The reason he got the second MRI was because the injury was healing so slow. They didn't know if the first one was wrong or if he had a setback. I guess he's just a slow healer. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I can't see him playing at all this year, there's no timing between he and the rest of the offence. Quote
varaven45 Posted August 20, 2015 Author Posted August 20, 2015 Crav, I'm beginning to think you are right. I don't have a good feeling about Perriman.Fwiw, a buddy of mine from the gym (and Giants fan) whose son plays RB at UCF said he was really surprised the Ravens drafted Perriman, esp. so earlyand wasn't at all surprised about his injury. He watched a lot of UCF games and said, aside from his blazing speed, he wasn't impressed with the guy.Maybe an off hand comment from a no-nothing Giant fan but still gives you pause. Hopefully, he proves a lot of us dead wrong and tears up the league. I'm just not feeling it. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I'm within 10 miles of UCF, I seen a good bit of him last year, loved the size and speed of him, wasn't surprised he went in the first round was surprised it was us that took him. Quote
