varaven45 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Just for giggles, anyone know when he's coming back ? 2016, 2017 ? Quote
oldno82 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I'm beginning to wonder if he'll ever be back. Quote
vmax Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 This reminds me of the Clowney situation....bad news all around.I feel sorry for Perryman. Hope he can keep his head up. Shit happens in life. Quote
TBird Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 He was scheduled to return in middle of October. He started practicing and then he re-injured it again so I have no idea what his time table is. This is the time for it to happen with the rest of the team doing so bad. Then maybe we get him all for next year. Missing 6 or 7 games because of an injury hardly constitutes a bust. ILMAO Now if you're Kindle and they give you several years and you still can't take the field then you'rea bust. 1 Quote
52isUnstoppable Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Who is this Perriman guy everyone keeps speaking about? Seriously though, Dez Bryant and ODB started their careers on IR. Turned out to be studs. Fingers crossed that PCL heals up stronger than ever. Needs to more deer antler spray on that thing. Quote

Did you read the article about the Perriman knee injury and how many people are afflicted with this type of knee ailment? How it is a life long injury? I hope the article is wrong about him, but admit that now I am starting to believe that he has this type of exact knee injury. Why would he start showing signs of progression and then, out of the blue, reinjure it just by running? That's why I said bust. Nothing to ILMAO about. Quote
varaven45 Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 It stinks but I'm writing this guy off. That way, if he returns and kills it, its a windfall. If he doesn't, we are no worse off than where we are right now.Come FA and draft time, Ozzie and Co need to right this ship. Quote
oldno82 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 This article makes it sound like it won't be lifelong: http://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2015/8/21/9182471/perrimans-injury-and-past-medical-history-is-there-cause-for-concern Quote
TBird Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Yea, I saw the article but that doesn't mean it's true in every case. Mypoint is it takes at least 3 years to show a player is a bust. Krugerddid nothing til his final year and got a big pay day with Clowns. But sitting out the season ala Dez Bryant and others doesn't mean he's abust. Let's wait another year or two. Quote

It just gave me some real hope for this Perriman kid. Thanks. Quote
TBird Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Great find # 82. Thanks. Like I posted above, let's wait 2 or 3 years before calling him a bust. Six or sevengames misses is hardly a bust. ILMAO Quote

Readers afflicted with this condition wrote in response to this article saying how the condition never truly goes away. Readers said it's not a chronic problem, but it makes one more injury prone and have slower recovery. Quote
oldno82 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 OK. Well so far I'm inclined to think he may have a continuing problem that might not just 'go away'. If he doesn't practice this season at all, he's really going to have to be something special to return as a starter next year. Quote
oldno82 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I find it hard to fathom that this guy still hasn't advanced enough to play (Newsome yesterday said he hasn't be medically cleared to play at this point). Will this thing ever heal? Did he need surgery and turned it down for some reason? Something just doesn't smell right about this. Quote
varaven45 Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 Perriman is a fictional character. Quote

oldno82 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Well, I'm pretty sure Ozzie said he saw him at the Castle just last week. He said Perriman had 'a big smile' on his face. He seems like a nice kid and I feel sorry for him getting depressed by the whole thing. But I'm still very unsure about whether he'll take the field this year. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I have seen to many players lose their rookie yrs from injury and be fine later. Quote
cravnravn Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 He may not be in town to have the docs check him. No word on him down here at UCF Quote
TBird Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 He's not in Central Florida, he's on south beach in Fat Mac's party bus. Quote
