It can't get any worse than this. Flacco out with season ending knee injury. Forsett breaks his right arm, out for the season. Both Suggs and Steve Smith out for season with achilles injuries. Now rusty Matt Schaub steps in with no receivers to throw to. No backs to hand the ball off to. Next 6 games, we probably score a total of about 42 points. Tops.

That # 1, 2, or 3 draft pick is getting closer by the day,

I know we beat the Rams but it feels like a defeat. At least the D showed signs of life again. The secondary looked much better. Smith and Webb finally look like they are getting healthy.

were they not healthy at one point?

Schaub starting means an automatic 7 points for anybody on the Ravens remaining schedule.

This is one big hole the Ravens are in now and there is no fast way out of it.

No quick fix.

Sports media is predicting 0-6 the rest of the way and for the firdt time in our young history, the number 1 pick in the 2016 draft.

I'm hearing the same...but you know the Browns will ruin it.

I didn't watch the preseason - Is Schab really that bad? I can't believe there would be THAT much drop off from Flacco to schaab. Buck Allen may be an upgrade. It's not a knock on JF I Just like what I've seen from Allen so far.

I like Allen too. And who knows, Terrence West and Allen could become a nice tandem for the future. Mentored by Forsett, this could be a nice backfileld.

As for Schaub, who the hell knows what we will get. Maybe he will pleasantly surprise or throw a couple of pick 6's . I guess we'll know come Monsay night .

I think you're right. Allen and West could be a nice shot in the arm for the Offense. With Schaub, maybe he'll bounce back and be effective. With the state of our OL and WRs though, I think I'm drinking purple kool-aid there.

And that leads me to say, maybe we should have seen this season coming after the lousy pre-season we had. It showed we had no depth and that our second stringers on down couldn't win a game or hold a lead. I'm not usually a believer in preseason performance, but maybe I should be.

The evals I have read say Matt doesn't have the arm strength anymore. That does not bode well. D's will crowd the box.

Yep. Opposing Ds should crowd the box. But at least we'll see what we got. Worse case, Schaub has a meltdown and we go to Clausen. The worst thing that can happen is we lose out and go 3-13 and grab a top 3 pick. As long as we play hard and show signs of life, I'm cool with that. Every dog has its day - you are seeing it on full display.

Personally, I'm in 2016, pre FA and draft mode

oldno...right on about the preseason and team depth.

I want to see Bret Urban. We could be in for a surprise.

Any surprises we can generate during the rest of this season will be good ones. I don't think there's any more bad surprises left.
