cravnravn Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Tyrod won't make a full season, he didn't last year and with his style he won't again this season. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 They also have Watkins, who is better than all our receivers combined. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 They were? One season and he is a great quarterback?I would take Taylor over Joe for their cap numbers. They also have Watkins, who is better than all our receivers combined.Maybe if Joe didn't eat up so much cap space he could have more talent around him. Quote
cravnravn Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) Joe looked great tonight, he earned that contract ;( Edited August 28, 2016 by cravnravn Quote
tsylvester Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 Wow I had no idea it was that bad.First year with yet another new offensive coordinator, terrible line, no serious weapons. Yes, he gets a pass. If you doubt the importance of the revolving door at oc, talk to an NFL quarterback... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Well then you need to be looking at Harbs on that. Maybe if he would have made a correct move and fired Cam earlier and found a good OC for Joe a while back this would not be an issue. Joe still hasn't earned him money. Quote
vmax Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Well then you need to be looking at Harbs on that. Maybe if he would have made a correct move and fired Cam earlier and found a good OC for Joe a while back this would not be an issue. Joe still hasn't earned him money. This should be $$$$ raining down.... With Joe, the Ravens always have a very legit shot at making the playoffs. Once there they have a legit shot at advancing.Without Joe, this experienced fan has no hope of this team doing damage.Rodgers and Brees haven't made it back to the big game but I don't hear you crying about them. papasmurfbell Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 So they had a legit shot of making the POs last yr with Joe? Quote
cravnravn Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 So they had a legit shot of making the POs last yr with Joe?yes they did, but since he is only a piece of the pie, and the other main piece was decimated with injury, well there's your reason we didn't make the playoffs Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 They were not all hurt week 1. Mid season for Smith. Justin went down the same game as Joe week 9. It is excuse making to say Injuries made them suck. They were poorly put together. Joe was sucking the whole season. Hell the win percentage was better without Joe. Quote
ravinmaniac52 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 He sure showed why he got that big payoff yesterday. How can you under and over throw guys that close to you? Quote
Robjr83 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I have already been hearing them. And honestly they have a point. I don't hear the talking heads around here being dismissive to them anymore either. Quote
vmax Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Quote of the DayBuffalo News columnist Jerry Sullivan was stunned at what he saw from Bills quarterback and ex-Ravens backup Tyrod Taylor in Baltimore:"A terrific defensive effort goes to naught because the offense can't get out of its own way?" Sullivan wrote. "Was that Trent Edwards at quarterback? J.P. Losman? A geriatric Drew Bledsoe?"No, it was Taylor."...https://www.pressboxonline.com/2016/09/12/for-ravens-a-week-one-win-means-everything Quote
tsylvester Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Taylor restructures, will stay a Bill Quote
vmax Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 But he was a far better QB than Joe was last yr. Joe was sure good at throwing to the D. At the price that Joe costs and what Taylor costs I would take Tyrod. after a full season we get to review this. it comes full circle. Tyrod did cash in. Good for him but basically he was a Fail for the Bills. QB Tyrod Taylor took significant pay cut to remain with Bills...Taylor's new contract is extremely team-friendly, as they'll be able to walk away with minimal salary cap implications. This new deal speaks to the lack of confidence that the Bills have in Taylor, who was benched in Week 17 for 'business purposes' according to general manager Doug Whaley...Buffalo was expected to release Taylor if something couldn't be done about his contract and they reportedly had interest in signing veteran quarterback Brian Hoyer just before the new deal was announced. Now, Taylor will have the chance to prove his value in a new offense, after being one of the least productive passers in the NFL last season...http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/qb-tyrod-taylor-took-significant-pay-cut-to-remain-with-bills/ar-AAolv9O?li=BBnb7Kz A case can be made that Taylor was better than Joe stat wise....but not by much. He had way less yards and 3 less TD's but he also had less INT's and a better QB rating. The Bills had 1 less win than the Ravens. And I will add that basically Joe was a Fail for the Ravens last year. papasmurfbell Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I agree with the sentiments of someone from ESPN yesterday. With Glennon making 15 per he should have bet on himself on the market. Quote
