GrubberRaven Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 The #Ravens have extended coach John Harbaugh, who was under contract through 2018. Source said they added a year, now through 2019. Ian Rappaport Quote
oldno82 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I dunno about this. What exactly are they rewarding here? And every year he gives out less and less information to us. Bad from a PR standpoint. Quote
tsylvester Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 One year? They might as well have let him be a lame duck. Fire him and get Dirk Cutter in here.... What, a 9 win season is good enough? What happens when they only win 4? Are they giving him a Flacco injury out for one year? Maybe we should pray for the Biscutt..... Quote
GrubberRaven Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 That's my friend's theory. That Flacco is going on the PUP and this year is a wash. Quote
GrubberRaven Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Billick was fired 1 year into his extension Quote
papasmurfbell Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Billick was fired 1 year into his extensionExactly. This spells doom for this POS. He knows it is bad too. The way he blew up today. I hope they have security escort him out the door like Brian was. Quote

Tornado700 Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I still have faith in Coach Harbs. He has that winning attitude that is necessary for success. He has already proved that. Keep him at least one more year and see what happens. I clearly blame this more on Flacco that anyone else. Quote
vmax Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 He held this team together through 10,000 injuries. They did not quit.He squeezed every ounce out of every player. All HC's hit dry spells.John's was that this team dumped the whole SB roster over the last few years and had some weak drafts plus 10,000 injuries. They are a few pieces away but I can see the light. He'll be on top of the mountain again. Nobody knows how bad/good the Ravens would have been over the last few years with John or another coach. It's possible John did a tremendous job to get the mediocre/average record they produced.they might have been way worse. I believe in him and don't want anybody else. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 The dry spell seems to have come when some ppl left. Quote
vmax Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Yes.That's what I'm saying. It's the Team talent that makes the coach look great. Case in point.Modell wanted to get rid of Marvin Lewis because his defenses stunk. Ozzie intervened and said he just needs better players. Ozzie got the players and Marvin suddenly became a defensive mastermind. Tonight we see The Great Sean Payton. He can't win shit without talent. (he was the Giants OC in the Ravens Super Bowl beat down). They all look like geniuses until the well runs dry. Quote
varaven45 Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Yep. Tom Coughlin was "supposedly" horrible until he won SB w Manning. Bellichick was bad in Cleveland then suddenly became great in NE w Brady. The list goes on and on.... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Yep bill's 11-5 record was bad. Quote
