vmax
The heavy run of games in the Ravens schedule now lies ahead. Before we start hanging the Ravens and ourselves on The Tree of Woe consider this: Maybe some of these teams aren't as scary as we think. Who have the mighty 5-1 Seahawks defeated?Let's see here.....They have a 1 point win over the 0-5 Bengals.A 2 point win over the 2-4 Steelers.A 17 point win over the 2-3 CardinalsA 1 point win over the 3-3 RamsAnd a 2 point win over the 2-4 Browns. They lost to the Saints with Teddy Bridgewater. I'd say that makes them a little more mortal. Same for the undefeated Patriots.Wins over the 2-4 Steelers, 0-5 Dolphins, 1-4 Jets, 4-1 Bills, 1-5 Redskins and 2-4 Giants. To the Patriots credit, other than the Bills, they slaughtered these teams. I know they have no choice on scheduling and have to play against whoever is on there yet...... And we know the Ravens are hurting defensively. Now Elliot is done for the season. One more injury and Ricard might be playing safety.Yet............they have a decent shot at getting a win during the next 2 games. Maybe 2! papasmurfbell
The pats always have a weak schedule bc the play on of the worst divisions every yr. Wilson is on a tear. 14 tds and no picks. With our weak passrush and broken down dbs he will shine like the sun.
oldno82
Seattle is a very hostile environment to play in. Wilson is having a terrific year and, at this stage, he's more polished than Lamar. Our defense won't be able to stop the Seahawks. Lamar will pull off a few very dazzling runs and maybe a pass or three to keep the score somewhat respectable but Seattle is on a roll with Wilson right now. When I look at Seattle's team I think I'm getting a preview of what the Ravens will be like next year or the year after. (I hope!) Meanwhile, these injuries are killing us. We've got to get Brown back on offense. I think our defense, which is only fair when healthy is so riddled with injuries that it's done for the year. And there wasn't a whole lot of talent to begin with. The Pats may be a different story. Best team in the league but they'll be playing in a very hostile environment. But with no pass pressure do we really have any chance against the Pats and Brady? I'm hope Jimmy Smith is back by then. But even that won't be enough. GrubberRaven
Hopefully Thomas will be able to cue the D up on Wilson's tendencies and even Seattle's D
varaven45
Seahawks game: a great opportunity for us to make a statement. Should be a fun game !
tsylvester
Russle Wilson is going to be the best qb this team has faced this year; splitting hairs perhaps with Mahomes, but what ever. Wilson is also a ver mobile qb, so the defense doesn't just need to rush, they need awareness as well. Something this pass rush defense sucks at doing... Seattle loves screens too, something else this defense sucks against... So Wilson is likely to have a field day just as almost every other qb to play aginst this defense has.... Running games travel, but this running game is more of a gimmick if you will. The Seahawks have played against this type of running game before; it should be interesting to see if they can stop it.... So that leaves the passing game, tightends fair pretty well against the Seahawk defense; that is good. How will our line hold up? That is the question.... varaven45
Agreed. Seattle will score early and often; as should we. Don't see us stopping RW. I am looking/hoping for a competitive game.
OutsideRzAcE
against the chiefs Harbaugh failed the team by psyching himself out and having his team play outside themselves in an attempt to outsmart a tough opponent. The Ravens never had a chance. Hopefully this week he just allows the Ravens O to play their game and eat up clock with those long meticulous on the ground drives. It takes the opposing crowd out of the game, tires the opposing D and frustrates the opposing O. Leave your analytics book at home too! OutsideRzAcE
I gotta give John credit. He made the right calls today. It was so awesome to see some play making on defense again.
