By the time the Ravens kickoff at 1 PM Sunday at the Bank they will of had two weeks to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. There's been a lot of fan discussion about how this could happen because the weaknesses in this 2021 Ravens team are glaring and obvious. Poor tackling has led to 1200 yards after the catch which is worst in the league. Not surprisingly, the Ravens have the worst pass defense in the NFL giving up 296 yards per game. A decent and consistent pass rush, pressuring and sacking the quarterback would be a great help, but so far this season that section of the defense has been inconsistent. The Ravens run defense has been solid and needs to have a good showing against Cook to make the Vikings offense one-dimensional.

On the offenses side of the ball it has been the Lamar Jackson show.Image result for Lamar Jackson Highlights  He accounts for almost 95% of the Ravens offense because other than him, the running game is basically stalled. The bright spot on offenseis the emerging passing attack and the solid core of receivers that Lamar has the throw to. Watkins, Bateman, Brown, Andrews, and Duverney are developing into a lethal group.

Last but not least, the Ravens possess the G.O.A.T of all kickers in Justin Tucker and a very excellent special teams unit. The game is won in three phases and Sunday just might be the day for Special Teams to shine.:gorave:

Team Stats

Yards Rushing 124.0 149.4

Pass Yards Allowed 269.1 312.3
Rush Yards Allowed 120.9 86.1

The Ravens received help during the bye week the Browns ,Colts, Chargers, and Bengals losing their games, Facing a tough final seven games stretch to end the regular season, the Ravens need to build as much cushion as possible. A win Sunday will give the Ravens a full game lead in the AFC North with a chance to build on it against the Dolphins and Bears.

Ravens Win percentage 63.5% :gorave: Now..... If you're addicted to worry like I am, then ignore that win percentage. All kinds of unseen horrors and catastrophes are waiting to manifest. The Vikings stand at 3-4 after a lackluster game against Mexico's Team. Their backs are very much against the wall...almost in desperate for a win territory. This is a "Must Win" game for them. :scared:!!! The Vikings have a solid running game with Dalvin Cook. They put up a lot of yards per game. And the Ravens have a penchant for creating 400 yard passers. Will Kirk Cousins be the next? Will Don Zimmer awake from his stupor of vanilla unimaginative game plans? He might, as the Viking crowd chants "Off With His Head!"Image result for Frankenstein Angry Mob   The Vikings will come at Lamar in every way imaginable because if you can stop or contain him then you stop the Ravens. Yes! This will be a fun day for us worriers and fear mongers'. to bond together! :yeah:

Finally it still remains speculation on what Ravens players will be coming back healthy and ready to contribute this week and next week. It's anticipated that Watkins Murray and Boyle will be available for Sunday's game. Hopefully Hayes will be ready. Wolfe is still a maybe. It remains unknown about Mekari, and Cleveland. Some of the pieces are coming back into place.

The good news is that the Ravens always come back strong after a bye week. If bye week past history plays out into the present, then we will see new wrinkles and schemes on both sides of the ball with some new faces and players. Then there is Lamar Jackson, who always surprises and kicks it into another gear for the final playoff run.Image result for LamarJacksonvsvikingsimages There's a lot to look forward to and it should be very exciting.:gorave:

Trivia: Anybody remember this?

 Dec. 8, 2013 – Ravens 29, Vikings 26

"The Snow Game" featured the craziest fourth quarter in Ravens history, in which 36 points were scored in the final two minutes, seven seconds. Marlon Brown hauled in a toe-tapping touchdown with 4 seconds left for the win.See the source imageSee the source image

Vikes are a wounded animal with a broken claw. This should be a cake walk if one approaches with confident caution. They are a werewolf team, catch them at the right time, they will help you move a couch. At the wrong time, they will eat you.

Sounds like some of the girlfriends I've had.

“The Ravens are currently 5.5-point favorites over the Vikings.

Baltimore is 14-6 (.700) is its last 20 games in November.

Minnesota is 0-3 against teams with winning records this season.”

Lol. No you didnt.

Ravens 11-4 after the bye under Harbs, 5th best in the NFL.

Minnesota has been in every game they have lost. I'm feeling the 6 point spread is way too many to wager on the Ravens this week.

Bless you crav! I know you were sorely tempted to say "*** I'm stupid for thinking this game is easy ***" but you didn't invoke the curse! Fortunately, only you can cast it.Image result for wizardscastingspells

“Ravens had seven players not practicing Thursday:

RB Latavius Murray (ankle)
QB Tyler Huntley (illness)
OL Patrick Mekari (ankle)
DT Brandon Williams (shoulder)
DE Derek Wolfe (back/hip)
OT Alejandro Villanueva
CB Jimmy Smith”

Jamison Hensley on Twitter
“During the bye, the Ravens looked hard at 3rd-down efficiency, which ranks 23rd in the NFL.

"We’re really diving into it." OC Greg Roman said. "I think everybody understands the importance of it. I don’t think there is any one thing you can pinpoint. We got to execute better."”

Jeff Zrebiec on Twitter
“Greg Roman talked about the importance of building TE Nick Boyle up gradually. It's probably an important point to remember given Boyle's long road back, which included at least two known surgeries. Ravens have 2 games in 5 days. That's a tough ask for a player like Boyle”

Jeff Zrebiec on Twitter
“Ravens OC Greg Roman said practice squad OT Cedric Ogbuehi has been working around the clock to pick up team's offense. Ravens currently have just six healthy OL and are especially thin at OT. They'll likely need to call up two OL from practice squad by Saturday at 4 p.m.”

“We've gotta do better in two-minute drills," Zimmer said when asked about his defense. Then he pulled a card of some sort out of his pocket.

"You know, we’re eighth in turnover differential, 12th in points per game, number one in sacks, fifth in third downs, 13th in first downs per game. So there’s some good things."“Yeah, we’re 10th in rush per game, eighth in pass yards per game, first in interception percentage, fourth in sacks per play, 11th in first downs per game, seventh in yards per game. So, we’ve just got to do better in the red zone."

With a good, experienced quarterback, elite offensive weapons, and a defense filled with veteran mainstays and hand-picked free agents, shouldn't the Vikings be better than 3-4? The Vikings are where they currently are because of Zimmer's poor in-game management, the failures of his defense in big moments, and his outdated offensive philosophy. :scared:

Ravens are wearing purple jerseys and black pants Sunday .759 win percentage :gorave: You've got to believe!

But do not feed into THIS!!!!!

"Head Coach John Harbaugh has vivid memories of facing Cousins and they are not pleasant. The Vikings' veteran quarterback is 2-0 against the Ravens – both wins coming while Cousins was with Washington. Harbaugh views Cousins as a dangerous quarterback despite Minnesota's recent struggles on offense.....Marlon Humphrey, Secondary Seek A Bounce Back Performance (baltimoreravens.com)

The Ravens' defense has a big-play problem. Here's how many scores of 40+ yards they've allowed in recent years (via

2017: 2

2018: 1

2019: 4

2020: 2

2021: 7 (most in the NFL; runner-up has 4) And still 10 games to go.

Don't know who to pull for today. Browns or Bengals. The Bengals seem like the biggest threat to the Ravens. They have a win over us. A loss to the Browns gives them an in division loss. I guess it's "Go Brownies."

This is pathetic, they are playing zone, 4 man rush, there are at least 2 receivers/tightends open. Three step drop, hitch & throw. The time is there if he throws on time. Instead, he is trying to force the ball to someone instead of reading the defense and throwing where & when one will be open.

If I could post that picture of Harbs bent over woth his hands on his head and the dumbfounded look on his face I would...

At this rate, this game is all but over. Did this team not practice at all during the bye week?

His Carlson look.

They don't seem prepared on any side of the ball.

Can't even throw an accurate pass to the flat? This constant changing of personnel is costing continuity on offense

Jeepers, the Vikes have no starters left on defenee, pound them, wear them out take advantage of them. If you can't move the ball against basically a presesson defense you are in trouble
