Ravens are 10-5 under John Harbaugh when their opponent is coming off a bye.)
[10:46 AM]
Ravens first-round pick Kyle Hamilton is catching passes on the field right now but he isn't moving much. The rookie safety hurt his knee last game and did not practice this week. He is listed as questionable.

Ravens WR Devin Duvernay is running hard and cutting in his usual pre-game warmups.Duvernay was added to the injury report Friday with a hamstring injury and was listed as questionable. :nono:

The Ravens scored 13 points last Sunday, their second-fewest in a regular season game in Lamar Jackson's five seasons. The Jaguars have allowed 20 or more points in five straight games, the longest active streak by any team this season, per @ESPNStatsInfo.

Lamar Jackson is 10-4 (.714) in November since 2019, his first full season as a starter. That’s the fourth-best winning percentage in the NFL over that span.

To quote what I think was what Harbs said after the 4th and less than one; "what the ""bleep"" was that!?!

That sums up the first half for the offense. Lamar again shows that he can't throw accurately deep, missing a wide open Robinson on the first series. End result after a nice opening drive is Tucker.

The second possession after a great stand by the defense to force a turnover on downs is Lamar missing wide open receivers, but also, with Jax in zone in the redzone, Andrews, seeing Lamar void the pocket, drifts his route (in the endzone) into a defender. Lamar is forced to throw to Robinson on a crossing route along the back of the endzone. Had Andrews just sat his route down, easy pitch & catch.

Lamar had a clear lane to Robinson, but fails to square up, set his feet, to throw accurately. Another missed opportunity to score a touchdown, Tucker time.

Then on a 4th and less than one after a Questionable spot, they try to get tricky and have Lamar squirm around the end where he gets stopped short of the line to gain.

Play calling is questionable and getting the plays in on time is also perhaps the worst it has ever been.

The defense once again has a blown coverage leading to one touchdown and a big gain on the final drive by Jax to end the half up 10-9.

This team as a whole is disjointed, they better get it together, play, play calling, or this is going to be a loss.

For whatever reason, we don’t play well against Jax- cant get that monkey off our backs.

The D laid an egg in the 4th Q but it shouldn’t have come down to that.  We should have been up 14-0 instead of 6-0 then let a weaker opponent stick around and come back.

I think it’s safe to say we’ve seen Lamar’s ceiling. This team has a dysfunctional offense and has for the past four years.
There’s no way we offer him a long term deal.

This team in its current form has no chance to advance in the playoffs, even IF it makes it that far.  And that stinks.

We need to build the rest of the offense around the QB and prepare for a legit franchise QB, maybe in 23; much more likely in 24.

Until we get that, we’re going to see exactly what we saw today against the bad teams and big time struggle against the winning teams.

My two cents…

Good bye Lamar, thanks for the memories.

Yes, there were some drops, but not the type of drops every qb gets. He throws a pass to the flat that is Duv is standing straight up it hits him below the knee, Duv drops it rather than being tackled for no gain

He throws a high pass to Andrews in the endzone, Drew can't handle it as he is being hit by the defender. If Lamar had thrown it sooner, it is an easier catch.

He has Robinson wide deep, Duv wide open deep and over throws both of them by 20 yards. Yippie, he threw it as far as he could to Jackson who makes the catch, 62 yards to set up the go ahead touchdown. Big whoop, Jackson was wide open...

They played zone most of the game, that requires either throwing on time or just waiting for a receiver to move to the next window. Lamar can't find anyone open? Really?

He scrambles to his right, has Andrews right in front of him in the endzone, but can't see him? He has Robinson wide open on a crossing at the back of the endzone but doesn't square up nor set his feet, throws it too low to be caught, but some will say it was a drop; bull.

Tag and trade him, he can't read a defense, can't throw deep, get rid of him. Yes, the play calling and routes were questionable, but he is holding this team back.

For the start of the franchise we couldnt win.  In 99 that changed and we kept winning. Sunce 2003 we have alternated.

I am watching a running QB who is very competent in throwing the ball.  He worked hard on his throwing this off season and became so much better.  Why in 4 yrs has Lamar not gotten better but regressed some in the passing game?

Greg...Roman...and...Harbaugh's...loyalty...to...him...

Plus, just a shit game yesterday where his supporting cast did nothing to help him out...

I'm kind of shocked that Lamar would Tweet and talk like that. Or even be affected by some anonymous strangers thoughts.  He lost it. Somethings really wrong in 'Lamar World.'  I didn't think he was the kind to melt down. Until this point he was such a good power of example to kids. He will have to issue a public apology statement. His image is tarnished.

Lamar was terrible throwing until that 62 yarder to deshaun. He was 13-of-29 for 168 yards until then. No TD's ... since 11/7.  Somethings wrong. Maybe his hip.

This red zone offense looks like the 2000 red zone offense. 3 form 9 trips the last 2 games. pathetic

Here's the bad news: During their time off from the bye, the Jags watched film and noticed a glaring weakness on the Ravens D. Peters and Stephens. Stephens is stiff and should be playing safety and Peters has lost a step and can't keep up. Clark can't cover. He gets there too late. Lawrence destroyed them.

I’m afraid we are witnessing the real Lamar. This is not in keeping with the conduct and standards of a professional football player and a Raven.  This is symptomatic of the bigger problem - lack of leadership -  something we have been lacking since our last SB.

As the owner and FO consider this teams status and future, they have got to identify or refocus on the leadership aspect.  We have some guys - a lot of guys - who can or may be perceived as leaders.  I’m just not sure who they are.  Previous leaders - now long gone - would pull this team together.

in the meantime, I hope the Biscuit and FO are taking a  big long look at this

Not much can be done right now, just play the string out, see what happens.

The funny thing is the defense shut down the Jags for all but the last 2 mins of the game. Even on the short field because of the fumble by Gus, they held them to a field goal.

So what happened in the last 2 mins? They couldn't be tired from the game, could they? Despite the close score, the Ravens to that point had dominated time of posession.

Yet the entire secondary looked slow as snails. Even the pass rush that created a 3rd and 20, then disappeared. Was it scheme in the end?

Why has Hurts been able to have so much room to run, yet when you watch the Ravens, it is as if Lamar is playing on a field half the width, with defenders at every yard. Simple, no one respects the deep passing game of the Ravens, they do respect the one for the Eagles...

Fire Roman now, wait till the end, I'm all for it. But will Lamar, who worked "all off season" with a qb coach and receivers, really get it together and get the touch needed for deeper routes? Will he start to read a defense, know where to throw, throw on time and accurately so that there can be yak?

Because if not, if this is Lamar where we're argue if a pass that is not complete is a drop or just an impossible catch, what difference is a new oc going to make?

Running the ball is now made more difficult with safeties and backers 10 yards off the los, hell bent on stopping the run, not too concerned with the passing game.
