cravnravn Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Philly is favored by 2 1/2 points yagaddabeshiddingme Quote
reddog271 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 that means they think they Ravens will win by 1 point or so Quote
cravnravn Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 I dont know about you, but Im thinking 10-15 point win. Quote
yagersports Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 We're going to crush Philly. They have one playmaker.......one. They're not even in the same league as Cinci are you kidding me? And you tell me how that putrid Philly defense is gonna stop the Baltimore machine. Whatever. There's 4 teams in this league that can play with the Ravens. NE, SF, GB, and Houston. That's it. I'm not saying the Ravens can't lose, because guys play poorly and crazy things happen, however those are the only teams in Baltimore's league right now. Everyone else is trying to get there or is way behind. Philly favored.......just wow. Did anyone see the Browns game???? The eagles had 4 picks against a rookie QB and they couldn't put it away. Wow. Place your bets. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Philthy is not very good. I think this might be Andy's last yr. Quote
Dunno Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 The Titans and the Jags weren't very good last year, that didn't stop them from beating the Ravens. While I can't see Philly beat the Ravens, I can see the Ravens beat themselves on the road. Again. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Yeah but there is expectation from Philthy so I would expect the Ravesn to come in primed. Quote

I can see us having a tough game and losing to the likes of Dallas or NY or even Pitt, but I don't see us laying eggs against subpar teams this year. I just feel like this team has a different sense of urgency this year. This team is just different don't you think? I'm so pumped it's ridiculous. I'm glad I'm not a betting man cuz I go crazy after wins like this past Monday. lol Quote
JPPT1974 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Experts that is just their opinion. It will only make the Ravens want to win more. You can't just go by the experts. Quote
oldno82 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 In the back of my mind is what happened to us after we crapped on the Steelers in the opening game last year. Hope the Ravens have learned their lesson about letdowns and being on the road. Quote
vmax Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 This is Philly's home opener. They will be on fire...not depressed like everybody gets when walking into the Brownies stadium. They have some great offensive weapons and a very good defense.Look out for McCoy...if Green Ellis can run for over 5 ypc on the Ravens D then McCoy might average 7. They will pound McCoy after Vick looking shitty trying to throw 56 times. smart move.Stop McCoy and Ravens win...easier said than done. Quote
yagersports Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Vick will throw two INTs. That will be the difference. If Philly does manage to keep it close, we had better not punt to Jackson. Quote
cravnravn Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 Just remember, the past three years, whomever Philly hosts in their homeopener..WINS the Super Bowl. Its true Quote
yagersports Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I wonder if we can make Vick quit like McNabb did a few years back. Anyone remember that? Quote

varaven45 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I am probably the lone ranger but I dont like this game at all.... for these reasons: We just shot our wad against a divisdion rival ~ 44 points, tough act to follow Philly laid an egg in Cleveland and was damn luck to escape with a win and they know it. Philly has an extremely talented, potentially explosive offense that has yet to wake up. It will wake up Sunday. Philly has athletic LBs and good corners which will create tough matchups for Joe and company. Its Philly's home opener. I hope I am wrong but see another flat performance simialr to Tennessee, Jax and Seattle games last year. Quote
yagersports Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I just think this team has turned a corner in this regard. I think we have so much more to show the NFL in terms of our offense. I think that was just what Cinci gave us. We could pound Ray if we choose. If they stack to take Rice away, Flacco can beat em through the air. If they play two safeties deep, that's no problem, we have two TE's that can work the middle. Philly doesn't have enough for us and I think Mr Mike Vick is fading. We'll win these games this year. I'm most concerned with teams like Dallas, NY, NE, and Houston. (I left Pitt out, I think they struggle this year) This Ravens team has a different feel. Everyone seems very confident. The WRs, TEs, RBs, OL, everyone. I've never seen that in a Ravens offense. The defense will do their part and the offense is going to make it easier by allowing the defense to pin their ears back. Quote
varaven45 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Yager, I hope you are right but after just 1 game I am not feeling it. Time will tell eh ? Quote
varaven45 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Yep... McCoy >>>>>>>>>> Benjarvus Green Ellis !!! Not even on the same planet. Quote
