I don't see this as a trap.

I see it as a slaughter.

Massaquoi's out....they will start this guy...

Their O line is sub par so Richardson will have a hard time running.

WeDone...we know about him.

The Ravens D can get real healthy if they want too. They should go all out in a dress rehersal for Houston.

The Brownies have nobody who can cover. Now...Joe's not going to be malicious, he's not like that but he has a duty to throw to the open man. He'll throw for over 400 yards with 3 TD's unless Coach puts Tyrod in early.

I don't see how this gets close...divisional rivalry and all.

Bombs Away!...

19 -- completions of 20 or more yards by Ravens quarterbacks through three games, which leads the league.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco ranks second in the NFL with 913 passing yards so far this season, and a lot of those yards have come in chunks. According to Ravens media relations, the Ravens have completed 19 passes of 20-plus yards (though backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor accounted for one of them in the season opener). Ravens wide receivers Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones have five apiece, and wide receivers Anquan Boldin and Deonte Thompson, running back Ray Rice, and tight ends Dennis Pitta and Ed Dickson each have at least one reception of 20 or more yards. No wonder Flacco ranks fifth in the league with 8.3 yards per attempt.

And another stat....

14 -- average margin of victory for John Harbaugh and the Ravens during their eight-game winning streak against the Browns.

Due to their recent dominance over the Browns, the Ravens have piled up some impressive individual and team milestones against their AFC North rival. Ray Rice has more rushing yards against the Browns than any other team, and the same applies to Reed with interception yards and Ray Lewis with sacks. But maybe the most remarkable stat has to be their point differential against the Browns under head coach John Harbaugh. Since he got the job in 2008, the Ravens have won eight straight games against the Browns, outscoring them, 203-91, in those games. The closest result over that span was a 20-14 home win on Christmas Eve last year.

Think the Browns will enjoy seeing Jamal getting inducted into the Ravens Ring of Honor?

They helped put him there.

Careful. Never take an opponent too lightly.

Ugh - Flat performance tonight after NE win. Nearly beaten by a rookie qb and gave up 357 yds passing. Swiss cheese defense and poor execution by offense. Nothing good from this but a eked out victory and 10 days rest.

File this bad boy away and start to regroup for KC - team has much to work on and prepare for against a team that is tough to beat in their house.

It was a relatively flat performance but it was a very short week for us and the weather was crappy. That is a formula for a sloppy game. Joe still threw for 350+ yards. Offensive line had a lot of trouble with the stunts and twists. They need to get that straightened out.

it was an AFC North game in bad weather... It was a win and the team is 3-1...I say it was perfect

The offensive line looked gassed. It was a short week, I'm sure they're beat to all hell. Kudos to them and that stretching guru they've been using to get them ready. 3 days rest is not easy. That Cleveland defense is good......and fast. However in a rematch I don't think it's this close. Our lineman got very tired as the game wore on. That wouldn't happen with a proper week of rest.

Yager et al,

All good points, 4 games/17 days, rain, tired, emotionally drained.

Two observations about this seasons squad:

1. Our inabiliuty to pound the rock in short yard (3rd or 4th and 1) situations is apparent and will haunt this team, especailly in the latter part of the season.

I dont if its the line (Birk), the scheme or backs, but it is hurting us in key situations and critical parts of the game.

2. The absense of Suggs is obvious. Our pass rush and secondary play is downright embarrasing. A rookie, Weeden, throws for 300 + yards, in our house. Case closed.

Our secondary had a breather last night and it wont see a weaker offense the rest of the year.

The bottiom line is we are 3-1. Time to rest, get healthy and prepare for KC.

Good point VA, I dont get it 3rd and 9, why is Joe running a bootleg?? throw the dam ball you are on pace for over 5000 yards passing..Jimminy Christmas Joe..We need to develop that step on their throat attitude on O, we coulda. shoulda put that game away..

Lets give some credit to Leaveland, Weeden also threw for over 350 yards on Cinncy, and that Trent Richardson, its a dam shame hes going to be wasted in Leaveland, hes Jamal Jr, did you see him take that swing pass and get a head of steam? Webb wanted no parts as to tackling him, how about when he ran Pollard over...

Yep. I really wanted us to snatch up Richardson (for reasons you stated) who would have nicelty complimented Ray in our backfield. I guess I'm a bit greedy which

segways into my next point. I still do not and cannot understand our pathetic inability to convert on short yard situations, esp with Leach and Ray.

Its mind bogglling but the O better figure it out. Joe cannot throw 40 + passes (350+ yards) every dang game. He wont survive the season.

I am sure Cam will figure it out though :cryin:

The Ravens are middle teir. they have major issues. They should have made the Browns quit by halftime.

I think you are slighting the Browns here. Their defensive front seven are very aggressive and athletic. Outside of Atlanta and Houston, you could label every team in the league as "middle tier". The bottom line is we will be in the playoff mix and that is all any NFL team can ask for. Ask the Packers ('11), Saints ('11), Colts ('09), and Patriots ('08) what it means to be near perfect in the regular season. What it comes down to is who is healthy and who is hot at the right point.

Yes, our pass rush is very concerning, but our offense has shown that they can move the ball, and the defense still has playmakers. Get used to the break-but-don't-bend defense. It is stressful, and will give up a lot of yards, but those are the type of teams that win Super Bowls.

I am starting to think Joe can throw for 350 yards per game! :yeah:

In all seriousness the Browns played great up front in the trenches. Great call by Cam to mix it up by throwing in Pierce. The Browns were hell-bent on stopping Rice. The Browns have a weak secondary and we attacked it, Joe made some very nice throws against man coverage and cover 2 zones. It was penalties and sacks that killed our offensive drives. In a poor weather-laden game, that is bound to happen. Outside of the INT, Joe played a solid game IMO.

LOL they are 3-1 you jackass, outside of Houston no other team in the AFC is wowing anyone. The Ravens are still the best team in the AFC North since the Bengals defense is worst than ours and the Steelers gave up 34 pts and lost to Oakland of all teams. I guess you can have sex with your boyfriend Skip Bayless and discuss how bad the Ravens are. I want to beat the hell out of you so bad.

I'm fairly impressed with the win VA. These guys did not have it easy and this Cleveland defense has played good all season. They're quick and aggressive. For to to get that win in a crappy situation like that shows me this team has guts, heart, and can execute.

I'm a little concerned with the short yardage running situation myself. I'm confused why we don't run tosses to Ray in those situations. It seems like he can get yards at will when the ball is tossed to him.

In any case, well done. No team goes through the year beating everyone easily. And......we should have won the Philly game, Joe threw the winning TD pass. That would make us 4-0. In any case we're 3-1 with two wins against teams that made the playoffs last year. Really that's pretty good for a middle tier team. lol

I wouldn't worry too much about this game. Take the win and move on. This was a really short week (too short IMO) and they won. Are they a perfect team? Nope, but the short week and weather probably exaggerated some of their problems. It happens. A lot of the good teams on Thursday nights have looked sub par.
