My head tells me Coughlan and the Giants will be fighting for their playoff lives...but something is wrong with that team to give up 34 points and not score 1.

Subject to further review, for some crazy reason, I'm starting to feel a little optimistic about the Giants game. Must be purple Monday??????????

The Giants are looking for a statement game right now. I think Cincy could win out.

You could be right. I don't think the Ravens will beat the bengals in cincy so we'd better hope the Steelers can. I think they will have a tough time against the Bengals though. The steelers have been without Ike Taylor since the Ravens game and also their 3rd string corner in Cortez Allen. Polamalu is ineffective right now (pretty much like Suggs due to missing so much time). Bengals should be able to have success thru the air and we know how the Daulton likes to sling it.

It's Ugly where the Ravens can lose 3 straight games and make the playoffs. It's uglier if they lose 4 straight and win the division with a Steeler victory.

Last night Broadway Schmo made sure that at least the Steelers or Bengals would make the playoffs.

This was real ugly....

Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez continued his season-long poor play by throwing four interceptions and fumbling a low snap late in the game. The follies gave Sanchez 11 turnovers in the past four games.

The most-damaging turnovers Monday night came on the Jets' last two possessions. After guiding the Jets from their own 8-yard-line to the Titans' 23, Sanchez floated an errant pass over the middle that was picked off by Titans free safety Michael Griffin at the Titans' 2-yard-line with under two minutes to play.

After the Titans were held on downs, punter Brett Kern's 19-yard punt gave the Jets the ball at the Titans' 25 with 47 seconds remaining. But Sanchez fumbled a low snap on the first play of the drive to thwart any chance of a late comeback.

In all, the Jets had five offensive possessions in the fourth quarter, but would fail to score the go-ahead touchdown on any of them, thanks in large part to three turnovers in the frame. For the night, Sanchez completed 13-of-28 passes for 131 yards and posted a lowly 32.6 passer rating.

Oh...and Rthslxxbrrgrr throws a dumb interception in overtime that Mexico's Team returns to the 1 but nobody's pounding him like they are pounding on Joe. That lost the game for them.

Now here's real ugly....

Playoff picture projections: Week 15

AFC

1. y- Houston Texans (South champion)

2. y- Denver Broncos (West champion)

3. y- New England Patriots (East champion)

4. Cincinnati Bengals (North champion)

5. Indianapolis Colts (wild card No. 1)

6. x- Baltimore Ravens (wild card No. 2)

Crav,

Not if we lose out -which is entirely possible. If we all three end up at 9-7 , then the Stealers get the AFCN and 4th seed and we get wild card - either 5th or 6th (more likely).

(Stealers win the tiebreaker if we all end up 9-7 due to their overall division record).

A win this Sunday or next (in Cincy) trumps the above and we get AFCN and 4th seed. :sing:

Max,

I agree with the above - Bengals, Stealers and Ravens will all end up 9-7. We get the 6th seed and play at either Piit or Indy (more likely.

Ugly? yes. Likely? yes yes.

If we get the 6th seed we are playing at NE or Denver. Whoever doesn't get the 2nd seed.

How does Pitt win the tie-breaker?

Posted

Because of their record between us and Cincy . If Pitts wins out then they would be 3-1 against us and Cincy .

If we liose out, we would be 2-2 against Pitt and Cincy.

Of course. Winning either of the next 2 trumps the above. Winning always cures everything !

If the Ravens don't get their act together the only seeding we'll be talking about is 'going to seed'.

Not to mention "one and done" which is how our chances in the playoffs look right now, unfortunately.

whether ravens or steelers are 4 or 6 seeds

both of our teams need to take care of business so we meet in the afccgame

OF COURSE iwant my Steelers to be the 4 seed and we still meet for the afcc
