Playoffs: Championship Weekend

I have to commend Caldwell and the adjustments he made to his play calling when it was obvious the running game wasn't working with Ray. He spread them out and/or started using Pierce more.

If that was Cam calling the plays we would still be 13-7 down right now.

Agreed. Amazing offensive half.

And when did the D really start to stop them. Oh yeah that is when they had no running game anymore.

Nonsense. I can't remember how many times Brady passed for 8 yards on 1st down and the Pats failed to pick up the 1st with a 2nd down run and that was happening in the 1st quarter not just the 3rd and 4th.

Papa, here is the play by play involving Ridley:

  • 1st-10, NE20 15:00 S. Ridley rushed to the right for 5 yard gain
  • 1st-10, NE34 14:17 S. Ridley rushed to the left for 3 yard gain
  • 2nd-7, NE37 13:40 S. Ridley rushed to the left for 5 yard gain
  • 2nd-2, NE29 11:00 S. Ridley rushed to the right for 3 yard gain
  • 1st-10, BAL37 8:33 S. Ridley rushed to the left for 1 yard gain
  • 1st-10, BAL20 7:48 S. Ridley rushed to the right for 2 yard gain
  • 3rd-2, BAL12 6:59 S. Ridley rushed to the right for no gain
2nd Quarter
  • 1st-10, NE21 9:22 S. Ridley rushed to the right for 3 yard gain. Baltimore committed 15 yard penalty
  • 1st-10, NE49 8:01 S. Ridley rushed up the middle for 7 yard gain
  • 2nd-3, BAL44 7:37 S. Ridley rushed up the middle for 4 yard gain
  • 1st-10, BAL16 6:29 S. Ridley rushed to the right for 8 yard gain
  • 2nd-1, BAL1 5:09 S. Ridley rushed up the middle for no gain
  • 1st-10, BAL43 2:32 S. Ridley rushed to the left for 5 yard gain
3rd Quarter
  • 2nd-4, NE15 12:14 S. Ridley rushed to the left for 5 yard gain

4th Quarter

  • 1st-10, NE16 14:49 S. Ridley rushed up the middle for 9 yard gain
  • 2nd-1, NE25 14:18 S. Ridley rushed to the left for no gain
  • 3rd-1, NE25 13:45 S. Ridley rushed to the left for 2 yard gain
  • 1st-10, NE39 12:46 S. Ridley rushed to the right for 8 yard gain. S. Ridley fumbled. A. Jones recovered fumble

Ridley rushed 18 times for 70yards. A 3.9 yard per rush average. Please note that the Ravens were mostly in the nickel and very rarely in base personnel which would be more adept at stopping the run. To that end the Ravens only allowed 3.9yards per carry while defending the pass. When he was asked to pick up yards in the redzone he did sweet f' all apart from an 8 yard run on 1st down inside the 10.

Maybe I need to take my head out of the sand but you need to take yours out of your ass [/pwned]

You notice the yds picked up seemed to be growing. It is called wearing a D down. I would think you would know that since the Ravens did it many times with Jamal.

Now you're just contradicting yourself.
