colincac Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Fail by the Orioles as I assume fans there in Baltimore are a bit angry, but I don't really see why it's such a big deal.
papasmurfbell Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 People always see the slight that the Ravens get. Now twice the team doesn't get the honored spot because the O's don't want to deffer.
OutsideRzAcE Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I'm pissed at the nfl for not moving the game to weds. This is bullshit...
cravnravn Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 Its not on the o's, they tried its on the NFL.. Angelos was all in for changing his start time the NFL said no, it would be too much congestion.
cravnravn Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 How much you bet they open us in Pittsburgh
ForceEight Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I hope they do. This is 100% on the Ravens and the NFL.
papasmurfbell Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 To turn the people against the O's that is exactly how I would schedule it.
cravnravn Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 @Denver@Miami@Detroit@Buffalo Denver Game might be an interesting game too, we lose by 40
cravnravn Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 To turn the people against the O's that is exactly how I would schedule it.Now why would you want to do that? The O's are trying to build a rapport between the Ravens, I believe, Petey did try to accomidate.
vmax Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 It boiled down to NBC. That won't let the NFL move the game to Wednesday night. I hate week night home games anyway.
OutsideRzAcE Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 The O's play Sunday at 1:30. Move that to 12 and the Ravens can play Sunday Night instead.
cravnravn Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 We are going to open in Denver . Oh boy this is going to be embarrassing
vmax Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 It gets worse.I just realized this means one less home game this year unless they swap games with the stealers, browns or bengals. Otherwise there will only be 7 home games.
ForceEight Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 It gets worse.I just realized this means one less home game this year unless they swap games with the stealers, browns or bengals. Otherwise there will only be 7 home games. Not at all. The road game will just happen to be first.
reddog271 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 how can this be Angelos's fault? people are always ready to blame the O's
OutsideRzAcE Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Looks like Harbaugh turned down a weekend home opener so they can take advantage of the extra rest between weeks 1 and 2.
papasmurfbell Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Now why would you want to do that? The O's are trying to build a rapport between the Ravens, I believe, Petey did try to accomidate. The NFL would not mind making the O's and MLB look bad.
vmax Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 As I've said before, I hold no ill will towards the Orioles.I hope the relationship between the two teams keeps growing off the momentum of last year. This was a nice comment... As the Orioles and Ravens try to work out a scheduling conflict that has put in jeopardy the NFL’s hopes of opening up the regular season on Thursday, Sept. 5 at M&T Bank Stadium, the relationship between the two downtown neighbors has again come under scrutiny. That’s a shame because over the past year or so, the synergy between the Orioles and Ravens never appeared better. Ravens players wore cartoon bird hats and frequently brought up the Orioles during their playoff run. When the Orioles played the New York Yankees at home in Game 2 of their playoff series, half the Ravens’ roster was at Camden Yards.Orioles players did the same during the Ravens’ season and got rousing ovations when they were shown on the M&T Bank JumboTron. Orioles center fielder Adam Jones went to every game during the Ravens’ Super Bowl run. Orioles manager Buck Showalter was an honorary captain for a Ravens game and then paid a visit to John Harbaugh at the team facility later in the season. When I asked Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti on Monday about the relationship between the two teams, he agreed with the opinion that the two teams have “never gotten along better.” His reasoning: “That has everything to do with the Orioles winning because when the Orioles are winning, the fans stop saying bad things about the Orioles because they are getting their cake and eating it, too,” Bisciotti said. “When the Orioles were struggling, we were going to get the majority of the positive press. It’s got to be very difficult for the Orioles to put up with that for an extended period of time. But as Baltimore sports fans, we love the Orioles being good and we hope they continue to be good. I think if you have two teams that have the same fans and both teams are winning, Baltimore is in a great spot. That’s what we’re all shooting for.”http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-ravens-news-notes-and-opinions-20130322,0,275620.story
cravnravn Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 Pretty sure this signing just solidify s that we'll be opening in Denver
vmax Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 "The Ravens have been getting back at Elway pretty well lately."
cravnravn Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 Funny, St Louis hosted the World Series and Monday Night Football at the same tiime Just found out, not a mile separates those two stadiums
ForceEight Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Yeah Crav that's the issue. It's all about the fact that the stadiums share parking and even some event staff. Besides, in the end, aren't you glad that game was in Denver and not at home for us to blow money attending?
