  1. Ozzie looks bad for not putting him on the reserved retired list
  2. I don't like the trade either. It seems Ozzie keeps getting the short end of trades lately
  3. I still don't think they needed another RB. Buc Allen can slide right in
  4. It's not even a surprise anymore that players are taking peds. The surprise seems to be when someone gets caught.
  5. Awesome - so happy they found a way to keep Williams.
  6. Why isn't Brandon Williams signed yet? Is that good news for us?
  7. I want Pryor. I didn't know cooks was available but isn't he a small speed guy? No thanks.
  8. The player has to want to sign also. What makes you think he would have signed last year when he was only one year away from being able to test free agency?
  9. I'm tired of seeing good young players leave. We have to find a way to keep Williams.
  10. For me it's less about personalities and dullness than it is about losing the same way. Im tired of watching a team that can't adapt from half to half or game to game. I'm tired of crappy offense and blown leads. How many times have we predicted a close loss even when we were up or the game was close at halftime? When you know the script and it's a bad script it's not fun.
  11. 187 yards away from $1 mil? No wonder Steve cried after the Steelers and Bengals game
  12. They could find a perennial loser to trade with. Don't think you get rid of Flacco without a viable replacement though. I agree they need to draft a QB to push/potentially replace Joe.
  13. Marty needed a better showing than that to stay. That was pathetic. Harbs job still safe though
  14. I would not be opposed to getting rid of Harbs for the right offensive minded coach, but I don't think Bisciotti will do that. Not while the team still plays hard for him. Firing Harbs is a giant risk. No matter what you think about his game day decision making or poor coaching skills, he can run an organization and motivate his players. This is not a guaranteed trait in the next young up and coming coordinator. Look at Todd Bowles who can't control his players or Rex Ryan who has failed to create a disciplined locker room in two tries at HC.
  15. Me too. It took a special kind of ineptitude to give up a td with so little time left.
  16. Yes and if we can all see it why can't the FO? Pees should have been gone last year. It was a no brainer. I pray Harbs feels enough pressure to realize he doesn't want what will likely be his last chance for success in Baltimore to ride on Pees fixing something he hasn't been able to fix since he's been here.
  17. I am assuming Harbs will keep his job for at least one more year. If that's the case I think most people (maybe even Harbs himself) want Marty gone but I disagree. Think big picture here. Think about how many coordinators and systems Flacco has gone through. We need stability at the OC position. We could go for some bright up and comer like Adam Gase was a couple of years ago but if they're successful we'll lose them after a year or two. Marty has shown me enough to give him a full offseason. He has a good relationship with Joe, I think he's creative on offense, brings a lot of much needed energy, and I think he can be influenced to run more. Best of all- who is going to hire him as a head coach? Look at what the Steelers have with Haley. It took him a few seasons to get that offense rolling but now they are dynamic. Yet how many teams have been beating down the door to interview him over the past few seasons? Keep Marty commmit to run more and I think the offense will be fine next year.
  18. You can mask deficiencies with scheme. Unless you're dean pees. I'm tired of this argument that he doesn't have great players. His job is to elevate the talent he has. We have better Dbs than a lot of teams. Pittsburgh is starting two rookies. The Giants aren't any better. Oakland? Houston? NE? Who has a backfield full of great Dbs anymore aside from maybe Seattle.
  19. Two 4th Quarter leads two years ago in New England Blown 4Q leads against the Giants, Raiders, Steelers this year Near blown leads against the Browns, eagles, bengals (i.e. Allowing them to drive the length of the field before barely holding on) Near blown 4th qtr lead in the super bowl. Harbaugh deserves one more year but not if he insists on bringing Pees back with him. This is becoming THE theme of the Harbaugh era.
  20. The Steelers are monsters at home. I don't see how we stay in the game without a healthy jimmy smith. Offensively we need ball control offense, which is not a strength. This is going to be a tough game to pull out.
  21. The run D has been there all year, for one game they weren't. I'm not going to worry too much about it.
  22. Harbaugh called it the worst call ever - said he should have vetoed it. I have to agree - I mean what do you gain by going for it in that situation? Win by more points? It was complete stupidity. This team is so dysfunctional. I'd have to look back to find out the exact play, but early in the 4th quarter it was 3rd and 8 or 3rd and 9 from about mid field. At this point we were up 20-14 I think this was shortly after West's long run that we wasted. Flacco rolls to his left and I guess doesn't like what he sees so he throws the ball straight into the ground. I'm thinking "this is exactly why we can't put teams away". We're going too conservative and sitting on a 6 point lead. Then inexplicably we pass on a chance to put the team away and throw on the play you described above. Conservative when we should be aggressive, aggressive when we should be conservative.
  23. That interview was very insightful. Pollard is a smart hard nosed player and for Harbs to get rid of a guy like that is very telling. And don't tell me it was performanced based either
  24. Has anyone heard about jimmy smith's status? They aren't winning shit without him -certainly not the last two games and possibly not even this next game.
