  1. No surprise there. They plan to move some in the next 3 years. In the mean time, they are raising ticket prices, season tickets by a large margine. And the lemmings will pay....
  2. Another "rule" being voted on is for coaches to be allowed to challenge, via replay, every penalty called... Yes, that will speed up the pace of play.
  3. A little over a month out, time to put your cards down now that the Ravens have made their free agent moves. So who do you think they take with the 16th pick? Me, while I hope they take Ross, wr, if he is there at 16, I think with the moves they have made, or not made, that they trade down into the 20's, try and get another pick or two, sometimes "7 just isn't enough". In the 20's they get better value on an offensive linemen middle or outside backer, even a corner.
  4. Not at all. Ross had an acl and a meniscus, yet returned to play in each of the following seasons, playing in every game and, playing exceptionally well. Camp miased games in every season with nagging, gnit-picking injuries. He showed a history of missing games each season, to most scouts, indication a lack of toughness, thus his fall all but out of the draft. Ross has shown none of that, proof in his toughness, if you will, in that he played the receiver and punt return positions with a torn labrum and never missed a beat. Knees, once repaired, once shown to be healthy, as in Ross's case, are rarely a problem moving forward, unlike hamstrings, or high anckle sprains or turf toe, which always have reoccurring issues. Yes, I would take Ross at 16, for all the reasons I have stated in this thread plus a few more...
  5. Seventh round
  6. Oh, did I forget to mention, these changes are not set in stone, they will be voted on next week at the owners meeting... This was simply a letter to the fans on what "Goody" would like to see done based on all the out cry from fans (and dwindling viewership)
  7. Yippie, ok, not, but it is a start. No more score, commercial, kickoff, commercial. There will be a clock after scores to speed up when the ball needs to be kicked off (there is already a seldom used rule)... Shorter half times and a few other wrinkles... So instead of a 3 & a half hour game it will be a 3 hour and 25 minute game. Longer commercial breaks just not as many... http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-rule-changes-pace-of-play-speed-up-roger-goodell-announce-commercials-032217
  8. So, after his injury at his workout, torn achilles, he vows to be back ready to play, this year, for what that is worth. He is, when healthy, considered the best, when do you draft him? Is this, name your player from the past few drafts who fell because of injury, that player again? If he is there in the 2nd, should the Ravens take a flyer on him?
  9. There is no more risk with him at 16 than any other player who got hurt once or twice. As I said, Camp was always hurt in college, missed almost more games than he played every year, not Ross. I agree, the biggest risk is the way the Ravens struggle to develop wide outs no matter where they draft them. With that said, he is a polished receiver, has been working out with, for many years, pro players to hone his craft. I doubt they take him or any wide at 16 though. I am more inclined to think they trade back, given their recent free agent moves.
  10. Why? Safety, some guard is going to time it right and send the leaper into orbit https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/sports/wp/2017/03/20/ban-on-field-goal-leaps-automatic-suspensions-part-of-new-nfl-rule-proposals/?utm_term=.b6da74e9dc94
  11. I am not sure what you call always injured, he blew a knee out, ok. He came back perfectly healthy from it. He even played corner for a few games, one pick, two pass break ups. He returned punts & kicks along with playing in the slot and outside and played half of his last season with a shoulder injury and played very well. To me, that is toughness, unlike the slot guy the Ravens over drafted a few years ago , Camp, who is literally always injured to the point he can't play or practice. There is a big difference there...
  12. Not a bad move, essentially a one year deal with plenty of options. He is decent, maybe the incentives will help motivate him to play to his potential.
  13. My please Grub, as I said, it was quite confusing the way the sites were reporting it. I had to check a few different ones before finding the actual numbers on NFL.com and the above mentioned site.
  14. Yep, but some sites like to use sensationalism. Currently the team is only $10.8 mil under the cap for the top 51 player contracts. Overall, they are $4.1 mil under http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/cap/
  15. It is $2.8 for the next two years or $5.6 over two years from what most sites are saying. The Sun article was not very clear.
  16. From what I have read, he is still out there because the teams interested in him want him to switch to guard. He still wants to play center so money is not the issue, per se'
  17. Yeah they moved up 12 apots, better than nothing. Urahel or Jeson oy....
  18. Hey, maybe their project quarterback turned wide receiver is their secret weapon... I mean, since they have not been able to develop a drafted wide out, maybe they were able to make pigs fly via a slow, not quick running quarterback...
  19. Affordable? Jefferies rarely completes a season, & has inconsistent hands. Britt disappears in games more than Houdini in his magic act. Marshall was not going to leave NY, his show is there. Prior is unproven and a one year rental is not worth that cost, $6 mil. We know Smith, small catch radius, bad hands, etc. Even at his $5 mil... I do agree they need help but they did not need who was left out there. Jackson would have been the best choice, slot\deep threat. But he was also over priced.
  20. The top five centers are pretty good, so yeah, late first or second would be great. But then the Ravens struggle with 2nd selections....
  21. He reportedly wants $7 mil per, Ravens supposedly are at $5 mil.. He is not worth $7, but then neither is Prince Amukamara, who got that from the Bears..
  22. 16 is too early, even for Elflien or Pocic. With their signing of the safety, Jefferson, they can all but sure up the secondary with Jones, Tabor types in the draft at 16. But it really looks to me like they will trade back...
  23. Hightower resigns with Pats, 4 years, $43.5 mil, $19 guarenteed. Webb might be back with the Ravens at the right price...
  24. He is still unsigned, have to tread carefully with him. Often injured, often burned because of poor technique. Better to let another team over pay for him rather than take a true flyer on him because a team is desperately needing help at corner.
  25. When wasn't it is more accurate. He has a long history of taking things out of context, blowing smoke to get people to read his stuff. I am not going to dig up the articles, I am sure you remember all the threads on the Ravens nest 2 board years ago discussing him.
