Yep, that's what we'll probably do and I wouldnt expect anything different. But if the FO wants a potential game changer they'll move up and get one. He might even be there at 16 or 17.
-
I believe it. That's why ya get him. With the way we've been drafting, you get the sure thing. I want this guy putting the kabash on Bell and Brown and the R Berger. Unless we get a playmaker on D, these guys are going to own our defense.
-
If we are looking for an athletic guy, someone to shut down LeVeon Bel and other AFCN threats, and become a D leader we haven't head since drafting Ray and Reed, we get this guy in the April draft. Yes, we need to give up a pick and sacrifice a 2nd maybe, but we draft this guy.
-
We need to acquire or draft a legit QB - not just some guy to hold the clipboard or watch a couple years- and push his arse. If he, Harbs and Martyball and friends don't cut it; then the coaching staff is gone after 17. There are several college QBs to be drafted and who knows maybe we will find us a another Prescott. Even if Joe has an unexpectedly great 2017, we need a guy to take over soon. I'm ready for the next franchise QB; and the sooner the better.

We are mucho players away. Ozzie and Co need to hit grand slams in the offseason. Don't see it happening in one season.

State of the Ravens ? aka Reshuffling the Chairs on the Titanic

Congrats to Joe for breaking the Ravens yardage record

I think the FO has finally run out of Poker faces and mulligans at the draft. No longer can this team crap the bed and draft not to lose. -
Empty words !

Yesterdays game was surreal and purposeless; felt like the typical 4th exhibition game - except we were playing starters !

Yep, but with the right team, formula, and the planets aligned, he can be very successful Will he again ? Maybe; maybe not. I've said for a few years, we needed to draft his replacement. Don't know it happens this year but it needs to. There's some fine young projects - possible mid round pick - we could draft this year. -

And that and a buck will get you a cup of java (or joe ) Hey, quantity doesn't = quality. After suffering through years of gut wrenching mediocrity, the FO needs a new OC and philosophy, rebuild its entire offense and change its identity to a balanced run/pass attack. As long as Joe's at the helm, we need to wisely and practically build around him. It will take a couple of years to get it right. -
That sums up our season. And why did Flacco start this game other than padding his stats ?

Can we beg Kubes to come back ?

As we move into 2017 and beyond, I am wondering what this really means. Which player(s) best exemplify and what qualities do they have ? I am curious as to everyone's thoughts.as we look ahead. .

Crav, what should the FO do on HC, OC and DC; what's your opinion ?

Agree with the above posts. I'm for stability, too, but the Sunday's defensive collapse is a microcosm of the last 3-4 years. And the dysfunctionality we've seen on the offense has to be addressed., But how ? Either we replace the coaches, upgrade our personnel, or both. I'd like to see us replace Pees with a younger DC - maybe a Gus Bradley type - and someone who can relate to the younger players. Concurrently, we need some playmakers on D- especially a dynamic pass rusher and secondary player. The absence of a Ray and Reed guy is noticeably absent from this D. If I'm Ozzie, I'm grabbing Michigan's Jabril Peppers - he's a future NFL star who can bring energy, passion and substance back to our D. We've got to have a guy like this who can lay the damn wood of Le Veon Bell, Antonio Brown, and the rest of the AFCN. And while we are it, we need to add a sackmaster. Suggs and Doom are done. On offense, I tend to side with Max and feel we need some stability. Still, we need a philosophical change and an upgrade to the OL. The OL coach has to go and the run game must return. I like the backfield of Juice, Kenneth Dixon and Terrence West. Its a solid group that when used effectively and behind the right OL - personnel and coach - could be dominant and provide balance to our offense. It would take some pressure off Joe and our D. In the end, I'm tired of watching a team and coaching that seems content with just competing and playing well enough to.......lose. Like everyone else here, I want this team to return to relevance in the NFL. And we can do it by making the proper coaching adjustments, upgrades on the OL, and O & D playmakers.

Keep Dean Pees if you like blown leads

Yep. And we sure could use on either or both sides. I'd like to see us move up and draft Jabril Peppers. I think he's got superstar written all over him. Put him back their at safety with Weddlle. I would seriously move up and get this guy. He reminds of a young Charles Woodson but more athletic and versatile. We need a playmaker like this on the D. -

But he's a good D.C. And an upgrade over Pees -

If he's available and the FO decides to make change, Gus Bradley woul be a heckuva DC here. I'm sure he's eyeing a HC job, but he would bring something to the table here.
