  1. Yeah, his best days are clearly behind him. Hopefully, his swagger, energy, passion and intensity will rub off on the other WRs.
  2. That's ok; just so long as he keeps winning.
  3. Yep, as our good, late friend Sock used to say, character and chemistry win championships. That's what I remembered most about the 2000 team. After we survived the TD scoring drought that year, there wasn't a game I ever had any doubt about winning. Not with that team's substance, character and chemistry. Fast forwarding to 2015, I think we are a good bit away from recapturing those critical team elements but appear to be closing the gap and moving in the right direction. With our FO, I am optimistic we will regain those elements, be competitive for several years and, hopefully, posture ourselves for a few more Lombardy's.
  4. I'd like to see us sign Forsett for a 2 yr. (3 yr max) deal then draft a solid RB in the mid rounds (no sooner than 2nd, no later than 4th). In that way, Forsett could mentor the guy who could take over by later 2015/ 2016. A Forsett/Taliffero/Rookie RB backfield in 2015.
  5. Two things: 1. Wasn't Zuttah just an average C when we snagged him from Tampa ? 2. Lets hope this hip situation isn't another Pitta type problem. Im assuming not, but one never knows. If healthy, Zuttah. Monroe, Osemele, Yanda & Wagner could become quite the OL. And that would be huge
  6. Max, I get the shakes just thinking about '01!!
  7. Yep . There's a sucker in every crowd and some team with cash to burn and a desire to snag a Raven, will make the move. The only question; what team ? A team like the cash heavy Browns wouldn't aurprise, especially after losing Gordon. Should be interesting.
  8. Right on Max. If there's a luxury it's at DT. We have many other weak links to address - CB, WR, TE and S. If letting Ngata walk frees up $ to secure an upgrade for these positions, we should do it.
  9. Did you mean a "dome" or "dumb " team ?
  10. If he didn't sign on the dotted line back in the Fall, he isn't going to now. I think we saw Torrey's last game as a Raven in New England last month. Been nice knowing you Torrey and wish you well.
  11. Thats good. It would be great to have a completely free and healthy Smith going into the 2015 aeason. Then we can focus on the rest of the secondary
  12. Heard the same thing Crav. Luckily, that doesn't always translate to wins, especially with "pops" behind center. I am more concerned with the AFCN than the Pats and their 38 yr old QB.
  13. Max, I was thinking the same thing. It was a classic but the better team didn't win last night. The Seahawks lost it more than the Pats won it. The good news is the Pats will begin their descent, starting in 2015. Brady, of course, is saying he's in his prime and has several years left. But his team's good fortune peaked this year.and they won't replicate that again. That plus the rest of the AFCE is closing the gap with Miami, Buffalo and the Jets.
  14. Maybe in route to Bmore as next RB ? Nah, but he would be awesome in the Raven backfield .
  15. After we gift wrapped and handed the game over to the Pats 3 weeks ago by not running the ball (even though we ran over em all night), the Hawks do the same damn thing tonight, except they gift wrapped it over to the Pats at the dang 1 gave away the SB ! The Pats did what they had to do win this year but luck like that only comes along once in a blue moon. I hope they enjoy tonight cuz that window is closing fast on Brady and company.
  16. Well ....that's 2 teams - us and the Seadogs - that handed game over to Pats in final minute.

After all the smoke clears on this award, I think we all can simply say Mosely had an awesome year, he's a great kid with a bright future. Go Ravens !

Max, it's cool. CJ had an awesome year. Getting 2nd will keep him hungry for next year and years to come. Awesome year, CJ !
  19. After what we've witnessed this year in the NFL, from Rice to Peterson to deflate gate, and in today's society, EVERYTHING is subject to scrutiny and some form of penalty.
  20. Not yet but with the "new norm" one never knows. Regardless of the outcome, the FO needs to keep a close eye on this guy. We don't need another newsworthy off season.
  21. I hope it's non issue ; otherwise we add 1 more player to make Super Bowl - previous thread .
  22. Maybe w/ Torrey but as a #3
  23. Max, Great synopsis and closing remark- we need a game changing WR and TE- to compete and succeed at the next level. This year's FA and Draft are once again huge.
  24. I'm on the fence on whether we keep him. I personally would like to see him here in 2015 but, after the smoke clears, my guess is someone else (Denver?) offers him a better deal that we don't match. Like Torrey, a good character guy that you hate to lose but its a business and $ talks.
  25. Those there would be GUNS, EXTRA BIG GUNS!
