Also, I'd love to resign Willis, because he's been great as a number two back, but there's been some articles that say he wants to get more carries and maybe even be a feature back. Good luck to him, cuz if he would relish his role here, he would play alot longer. I think Chester Taylor is available....it would be interesting to bring him back here with a different coordinator. Rice and Taylor might make a good combo. Both can catch out of the backfield so the defense would never be able to say...it's a run, or don't cover the rb. (Like they do with Willis)

I really wasn't impressed with what McClain did last year as a ball carrier. I think people also forget that McClain really wore down and lost a step the second half of the season during his first year as a "feature" back with us. Given spot carries, he really hasn't shown much. We had soooooo much trouble last year in 3rd and 4th and short and McClain did not get us those 1st downs. Line play wasn't all that great....but I can remember a ton of times where the line held and McClain simply ran into the line and was stuffed. He did not move the pile. As a fullback, the guy lights it up, he's exceptional...as a RB, it's just not there. There was a flash...but like a lot of RBs in this league the flash went out quickly.

Lol, this is a heated rivalry....perhaps we need Goose and Porter back to show these guys what speaking negatively is all about lol. Really, saying a DUI charge doesn't look good isn't speaking negatively......so much as it's speaking the truth! That's a fact, DUI charges never look good. He didn't say he was a drunk or drain on soceity or anything. As far as not playing in week 1, how is that not also speaking the truth. Gooddell has been suspending guys left and right for stuff like this. It's a possibility. Nothing in that statement was anything but the truth lol. I suppose a rivalry is reaching a boiling point when simple observations of the reality of situation is considered "speaking negatively" lol lol lol.

Hasn't there been reports that Bulger is going to Arizona as soon as the lockout is lifted??? I'm pretty sure Arizona has tabbed him as the starter.

Gaither, Yanda, Chester, Wilson, Carr, Jameel McClain, Burgess, Nakamura

I would say Green Bay belongs in that category as well. How many teams bounce from an all time great to another great QB just like that. Indy would be the final team that I would include in that debate. Not sure how Indy and Green Bay could be left out. Both have been to multiple Super Bowls in the past 15 years.

I'm not sure that's entirely accurate, so I kinda half agree here. Flacco was also not allowed to audible last year and cited in many articles since the season ended. As many opponents have stated, they knew what the Ravens were coming with. I think those types of plays by Flacco will absolutely be limited as he will not be forced to run a play where the defense is stacked against him.
-
Definitely agree here! No more shutting it down in the second half. Keep your foot on the gas and do what got you the lead in the first place.
-
Always throwing picks, wasn't Flacco one of the least intercepted QB's last year? Especially if you consider that a majority of his ints were thrown in the first what 5 games???
-
I also believe that Willis will be cut and return. He has a definitive role on this team and he's playing for a winner. That should go a long way for him.
-
It sure would be nice to have a guy that stretches the field for Flacco. He's got a great deep ball if someone could just get deep
-
I think the key word is "FA" safety. He's not a top safety in the league, but a top safety in FA.
-
I really hope the Ravens do get "that" guy. We could really use someone putting pressure on the QB from the opposite end of Suggs. Suggs forces a defense to make a huge adjustment, it would be nice to have someone keep the opposing offense honest.

This is great news however the article on NFL.com states that his equilibrium has been permanently damaged and he has very little hearing in his left ear. These seem like very large obstacles to overcome and play at an NFL level. I really hope he can, but I believe he still has a long road to recovery.
-
He'll be missed, I remember all those times he lined up to kick and I was like, it's automatic. Many many many teams haven't had that in a very very long time.
-
Very good article, but it's hard to make any judgments just yet when Flacco was not allowed to audible out of sure fire blitz plays. If the numbers stay the same this year, then I think we'll have to stop making excuses, however I feel that Joe still has growing to do. Regardless, Flacco is 1000 times better than just about any other QB we have ever had........except Boller. lol

Webb has good speed and hands for safety, but not sure he has the thump to play safety. Zibbs and Nakki can make those solid tackles on the backs and TE's. Not sure Webb could consistently do that. In a pinch for a week or two I'm sure he'd work, he's a team player. I'd be interested to see how Carr would play at Safety. That guy has made some solid tackles.....but never on the big TE's or RB's that I can think of.....so again, for me the jury is still out. Chykie did play safety in college, it'd be interesting to see how he plays.

There is no room for rational well thought out posts here! How dare you respond with a good example of a commonly accepted misspelled name! How dare you! lol

I'm disappointed we went with someone that has character issues, however I'm pretty confident our FO did some homework. Hopefully this guy is every bit the cover corner he's projected to be. I really like the selection of the speedy WR as well, we need someone to get open deep! Lastly, I like the tackle pick
-
Is Corner really a major need with Foxworth returning??? I guess it can't hurt, but I would think a pass rusher would be a far greater need. Or even a Ray Lewis replacement.
-
Cody is really 400lbs! Cmon, really! Why did we waste a draft pick on a guy that's going to eat himself out of the NFL.
-
Did they give a reason???

This may not be the proper thread, but I just have not been able to keep up with what is going on with the players and owners. Could someone give me an update? From what I've heard from others I've kind of gathered that the owners were being very inflexible in the beginning, they bent and put a good deal on the table, and then it was the players that became inflexible and they balked. Does that somewhat sum up the basic premise of what is going on?

We know what Ziby is doing during the lockout

Don't know if it was stagged but he capped his opponent three times while he was on his knee, is that legal in Boxing? -
How so?
