Last year was 2010, and Foxworth proved to be our #1 CB, and if you look at the top paid corners for 2010, you will be hard pressed to find anyone better that's getting paid less. Great CBs don't grow on trees. There are 9-10 guys better than Fox, but they're all getting paid as such.

That's crap! This is the preseason! You don't score till you score Ray!!!! lol
-
I agree Crav! I'll even take 15 int's if he's slinging the ball for TDs. Manning and Favre both always threw alot of int's and they've both won SBs. Big Jen too. With Flacco being able to audible, and having a legit deep threat, there's no reason to think he shouldn't improve. Well....except for the offensive line lol.
-
It's nice to hear Flacco embracing a leadership role and having confidence in himself. The guy wins games and makes great throws. Most importantly he doesn't make alot of bad throws either. I'm expecting a great year from him. If he wants to be top 5 he needs to start by beating Pitt with Big Jen. Then, he needs to propel us to playoffs with a 4,000 yd season. Finally, obviously, he needs to carry us to the Super Bowl. I think he's more than capable.

How did we overpay? Foxworth showed je was capable of covering the leagues best guys 2 yrs ago, then he got hurt. He's the 10th highest paid CB in the NFL. there's only one guy that is better than Fox, that isn't getting paid as such, and that's Woodson. Woodson signed his contract what 3 or 4 yrs ago, and he's also on the wrong side of 30 for football. I'm noticing alot of commemts statimg we overpaid for this guy and that guy, but we want the Ngata deal done yesterday. Perhaps Oz is trying to avoid just that scenario? Lastly, if Oz is constantly overpaying guys, why do we keep winning, and why is Oz routinely recognized as a top 5 gm in this league?
-
We did not over pay for Suggs. He is one of maybe three guys that can sack the QB 10 plus times, get double blocked while doing so, also play the run with a sick vengence, and drop into coverage to cover TEs! Folks there just aren't many guys out there that can do that! Lastly....the guy never takes a play off! The only guy in the league that I can think of that matches up is Harrison. Suggs would be sorely missed if he wasn't here.

Steve Spurrier's Redskin teams routinely went undefeated in the preseason, at time crushing opponents. Two seperate Dallas Cowboy Super Bowl teams in the 90s had losing preseason records, one of which I believe went winless. The preseason means absolutely nothing. It's impossible to tell what a team is capable of in the preseason. This team is good even if they start out 2-2, we could still end up 12-4! We play the Steelers and Jets in the first 4 games. Everyone knows this team gets rolling in November and December. And we get to play the NFC West, we're very fortunate for that. We get 8 wins for just the Bengals, Browns, and NFC West! lol lol lol lol If we beat TN and Jax like we should, there's 10 wins. Now we just need to upset a team or two and we're rolling!
-
It's a tough call I think. They both have equally impressive records for relatively new coaches. They both have had playoff success as well. Until Harbaugh proves otherwise, I have no reason to consider him an uncapable coach considering the results that he has brought thus far.
-
It would be nice if this guy would remind me a little of Jermaine Lewis! I miss having a little speedster on the team that can scare the shit out of the other team for 1-2 plays a game!
-
I don't believe this team cannot compete for a championship. Nobody thought we would do anything last year either. I believe in Flacco's development and the "new" Ravens both young and old. This is a good team, possibly a team that could get very hot at the end of the season.

Coachspeak, nothing more.
-
Oher s/b a rt, he's just not a lt in this league.
-
Good vet p/u. We didn't need a Cothery or other cast offs. We need someone with field stretching capability! Awesome. Cheap too. I was an advocate of going with what we had, but this is the kind of p/u you can't let pass by.
-
Too bad he didn't work out here, imho he was better than Oher. Without a work ethic in the NFL though, that will only get you so far.
-
He got cut cuz he was out of shape! Let's go with what we got people! The really good teams get people to step up. We need that this year. There's no one to be had that will help this team without hurting its future. We go with what we got!
-
But I do! I want to get these young guys goin! I also want Joe to do it with whomever. I want him to be the type of QB that will get it done no matter what.
-
We just don't need two possession type WRs. I don't see how Cotchery makes the team better.
-
Will smith even play, haven't heard a thing about him in camp? Also, Samuel is the 3rd corner over there, the other guy is gonna play with Aso.
-
When we got Terry allen, he was out of football for what 1 or 2 years, and several years from his ladt 1000 yard season. Williams is one year removed from 1000 yds and even though williams is 34, he didn't play for 3 years. That makes a difference, see Marcus Allen.
-
Williams is flat out a better rusher than McGahee, and Williams can at least catch a five yd hitch! McGahee has the worst hands of any RB in the NFL. As far as WR, I doubt we will see Mason produce much this year. I feel That Boldin getting the ball more and using the young pups is gonna work just fine. WR is the least of most teams worries. They're not what propeks a team to a Super Bowl. Good QB play and tough Defense gets you there. Offensive line.....can't argue much there, but Ozzie has discounted the center position his entire career as a GM. However, the good teams get guys to step up. So, next man up. It's gotta happen in a couple positions.
-
And he's our backup with a 4+ ypg average since forever. This is a solid acquisition for back up RB.
-
Beat me to it! Great signing I think. This guy can still run short yardage and he can spell Ray if we needed him to. He can't catch very well, but he does run the screen well. He's had 4 yd a carry averages. I like this. Has Williams ever had a fb like leach to run behind????
-
I like our signings so far at safety and fullback. Also, FA acquisitioms don't always equal production. If that was so we would have had a top 5 offense last year. We don't need a WR, but if we do get a vet, why not TJ? It's clear the guy can still play. We could use a DE, but honestly, it's not a need, we have talent in other areas that can cover up this weakness. My biggest concern is back-up QB and CB. I would like a QB that could step in for four games and at least go .500. There's got to be someone like that out there. CB,let's be hones't holy shit we need someone! Lol lol lol.
-
I have a feeling they brought this guy in to start, not back-up. Wouldn't be surprised if he was starting along side Reed.

Anyone know what the holdup with Ngata's deal is??? I thought this would be easy, we clearly have to pay the man, he's the best DT in the league. However, last I heard, Ngata admitted that he was not going to demand the ridiculous contract that Haynesworth signed in Washington, he wanted a fair contract. Has money become an issue?
