Times are not good here. The city is crumbling into ashes. It has been buried under taxes and frauds and maladministraions so that it has become a study for archaeologists...but it is better to live here in sackcloth and ashes than to own the whole state of Ohio. Or Pennsylvania.

I think its silly to criticize the NFL for not having some sort of goal line technology. The NFL has its problems but it has been at the forefront in sports in replays and efforts to get the plays correct. Would something like this help? I don't know, maybe one goaline play in a couple hundred might benefit from this. The replay would still have to be watched in a lot of the cases to see whether a knee was down or if a foot was out of bounds etc. I just don't see this helping much at all. I think the author just wanted to complain to get attention.

That's a pretty good distance. I wouldn't be happy either.

I prefer it to be an on the field pose, not a dance pose. I like the crouched one from earlier in the thread.

I do not completely disagree with Force here, I dont have a problem with the statue at all and think given the others we have here I think he should get one. However I would not have been upset if they would have waited some time before announcing it, or planning it. It was announced 3 days after he retired, I would have waited a year or so. I wont go as far to say the way it was done bothers me, its just not how I would have handled it.

You do too, you post your ideas of what you think happens as fact and even argue when those more in the know (like a player or coach) make a statement that is different than your view. Letterman must have been impressed by Flacco. He brought him up to both of his guests last night. He mentioned him to Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet and to Chris Maddog Russo. Discussing him with Russo - Russo said he is not as good as Peyton Manning and Letterman stated something along the line of Flacco matching Peytons postseason accomplishments.

I can certainly understand some players not liking Ray. Ray got far and away the most attention of all the players on defense and that can bother some players. I don't agree with it, but I understand. It still doesnt make Pryces comments any less stupid. Yeah, he was nervous.

Its the Tv for me. I couldn't sneak away earlier and I am hearing about traffic nightmares now.

Can anyone give me an idea if that is a lot of parking? If so I may head down to the stadium celebration. I dont want to have to drive around looking for a spot or pay a bunch.
