  1. I hope this is worked out sooner rather than later but it may be difficult. I do agree he's a Tier 2 QB at this point in his career. They should give him Tier 1 money based on incentives.
  2. This article is a little more optimistic but I don't know which article is more accurate: http://blogs.baltimoreravens.com/2012/02/13/late-for-work-213-afc-north-salary-cap-projections/
  3. Hey Congrats!!! Its tough to get any contract in this market!

    20-1?

Glad to see it...its about time.
  5. Yet another reason to respect the guy's smarts!

    20-1?

Check this out from the Baltimore Sun: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-ravens-given-20-1-odds-to-win-super-bowl-xlvii-20120207,0,7455994.story Seems to me somewhere between 5-1 and 8-1 would be more reasonable??
  7. Ricky was more than a decent backup. Shame we couldn't get him a ring. I don't know nuttin about Allen.
  8. True, Crav, but do you realize that we have to suffer through yet another one in a seemingly infinite number of losing Oriole baseball seasons before the next Ravens game gets played? I wonder if Bisciotti has the money to buy out Angelos too?
  9. I have no data for this but it just seems from what I've seen that the Pats get favorable treatment from the league on some issues.
  10. Crav, really glad to hear you'll still be visiting the board!
  11. depressed...sickened...disappointed...sad there's no more football until AUGUST!!!!!!! and yes we would have beat the Giants.
  12. Sorry to see you go, Crav. Will you still visit the board?
  13. Its a funny thing...several years ago I respected Suggs as a player but not so much as a person...now I both like him a lot for his personality as well as his playing ability. He really has grown as a person.
  14. LOL Thats why we can't afford him!
  15. I'd like to give Evans a second chance but I don't think we can afford him.
  16. I think Kruger will be able to take JJ's place. He showed a lot this year in the limited amount of time he played. But, Ozzie is right that we need someone to complement Suggs in the pass rush---maybe Kruger is that guy.
  17. Absolutely agree. Thats where good coaching and front offices make a huge difference.
  18. Well that was sobering! To be honest, the list didn't scare me that much. We have to keep Grubbs, Rice, and Flacco deserves a new contract now. Just about everybody else on that list can go with the exception of Gurode who should take Birk's place. We might also be able to free up some money by 'encouraging' Reed and Lewis to hang it up. Kruegar can take JJ's spot. I'd keep Zbikowski and let him take Reed's place. Now I'm not happy about these choices but with a cap tough moves are required.
  19. Show him the money.
  20. I think this was a weak selection. Why do you hire a guy as QB coach when the replacements for Peyton sucked so bad for so long? I mean, what credentials does this guy really bring with him? I hope I'm wrong but I really don't get this hire at this time.
  21. I'm not impressed with the Caldwell selection unless they asked Joe for input which I doubt. Manning was great because, well, Manning was a natural great. The Cam thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We need to be better in 2012 and the moves so far don't give me a lot of confidence.
  22. That is what worries me too.
  23. We have to sign Flacco to a long term contract. There's nobody else out there plus he can take us to where we want to go. I just hope he still wants to stay here with Cam coming back.
