  1. Good insight, Max. That is the biggest difference with the offense this year.
  2. Interesting thought. We should probably give our new guys a shot first.
  3. Boykin does have good hands---and apparently little else. I sound like a broken record: let Proche and Duvernay play dammit.
  4. I just can't see a Ravens' win here unless the full offense shows up: running, passing, receiving, and blocking. They haven't put all these together yet. As I argued for earlier, time to replace Boykin with Duvernay if B. can't produce this game. And Stanley, Brown, et.al., are going to have to get fired up and block. Steelers 24 Ravens 13 unless they wake up.
  5. I'm almost speechless as to how does Dacosta keep doing this? Super move!
  6. I don't understand either. But I do think there is talent with Duvernay and Proce on this team that needs game time looking at. I'd forget about Boykin...he's had more than enough time to succeed. Put Duvernay in there. Put Proce in there. Together. At the same time. At least Brown is getting open but what happened to our downfield passing game? Is it over with for the year? Why?
  7. I agree but don't think we'll have to wait that long. If they beat Pittsburgh I'll put them back in elite status.
  8. I think the answers to all these questions will all come out in the Pittsburgh game. Can the Offense run the ball and run time consuming drives especially when ahead? Is Lamar 2020 as good as Lamar 2019? Will the receivers get open? Can the defense stand up for 4 quarters against an elite team? Can the Ravens beat an elite team? I don't know what the answers will be. This team, this year is a mystery but we all will find out soon enough---two days before the election when another big unknown gets answered (maybe).
  9. I think Lamar and the offense will get its mojo back and the Ravens have a solid win.
  10. Good opportunity for the Ravens passing game to get healthy. They just have to remember to run to set up the pass. Hopefully, Lamar's knee is better and he can take off now and again.
  11. Like I said. I think Lamar is playing hurt and it could be affecting his decision making. Did he not run as much last game because he was hurt or because the Bengals were defending well, or because his mind is elsewhere, or all three? Clearly he wasn't the same Lamar we saw last year. I also agree with another poster's comment on the game that he looks like he's not having fun. Now maybe when your knee is aching and you spent the previous day sick that takes the fun out of it.
  12. I think Jackson is hurting. His knee kept him out of practice for 2 days and it really showed. Super job by Andrews and defense won the game for them this week.
  13. Well, the season is young and there were no pre-season games. Maybe they'll yet find the answer.
  14. I think they hired a passing consultant during the off-season didn't they? If so, he hasn't much effect so far.
  15. I don't think we have the horses to generate a non-blitz pass rushing attack. It's been this way since T-Sizzle started to slide. There is no one rushing the passer who puts fear into them. And we won't be able to do anything about it until after the season ends unless they want to make a trade which I doubt.
  16. I'd rather see our new guys get more playing and targeting time.
  17. I think he's a priority. He's excellent at pass blocking and is a fixture on Lamar's blind side. Not so sure he is a priority for Ravens' management, though...he should have been signed by now.
  18. Good, not great, but good game for the Ravens who needed a bounce back win. Lamar was good. Even though he scored on a 50 yd TD run I think he ran himself too often for too little. His passing was good but he was under duress too much. Not only do they miss Stanley, I think they really miss Yanda too. On the other hand, the WFC does have a top notch defensive line. But he was under a lot of pressure against KC too. The offensive line is out of sync this year. They won't make it very far in the playoffs unless they resolve that issue. I don't know how they do that.
  19. Our line has holes and their pass rush is good. I don't foresee a big win.
  20. Maybe he should be our opener too. Ingraham hasn't looked as good as last year and they don't seem to want Dobbins to actually run the ball, just be a decoy mostly on 3rd down.
  21. Hey! The fucking Chiefs game is over now. Put it in the rearview mirror like the team has to do and go out and kill the WFC.
  22. yeah, not going for it on the initial drive was a real letdown. The should have followed the analytics on that one. Meanwhile, somebody pound Roman's head into the wall for ditching the promising running game.
  23. Really glad to see this. Still hoping they can get something done with Stanley.
