  1. Hell, I'll even settle for the free agency period.
  2. The Ravens are a dull team...http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-preston-column-0211-20170210-column.html
  3. That's what they need but it'll take time and cap space to get those things. Patience is needed by the fans and media to go along with that. They also need Oz to return to form.
  4. I wonder what the going rate is for a RT ranked around where Wagner is (8th).
  5. Aiken is just your basic everyday receiver. Maybe the 3rd WR on most teams. Williams is gone. It would just cost too much cap to keep him. Same with Wagner though I wish we could keep him too. Guy and Juice probably stay. The price should be right on them. Of course the coralary to all this is what free agents should we go after and what high cap guys get cut. I think Dumerville goes because of his high cap and his future performance is an unknown. Maybe some others like Pitta though Joe would probably try to ge the FO to keep because of their friendship. Garçon would be a nice pickup if the price is right. Anybody else out there who could help us and not cost a boatload? It'll be interesting to see what they do with Wallace too.
  6. ...if any. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this.
  7. I cannot understand how the GM office can stink so badly in drafting WR's. Either the quality of the draftee is not there or we are failing to grow them with coaching. I'm not sure the front office and ownership are taking that inability seriously.
  8. Maybe there is hope. But I really doubt it. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/How-Much-Of-An-Impact-Did-Joe-Flaccos-Knee-Have-On-Him/4089d127-915d-4384-9267-26362c6a4f98
  9. I just read this. The photos explain it all. Joe checks down much too frequently... http://russellstreetreport.com/2016/12/15/tale-of-the-tape/the-joe-flacco-check-down/ Unfortunately, I think Joe's too set in his ways to improve.
  10. Essentially you've only got a draft pick for 4 years and if he takes that long to develop you're in trouble. By the time he's developed you lose him to FA. SO I agree with Papa on this one. They've got to be ready to start at worst after one season.
  11. That would be a classy thing to do. I hope Harbaugh hears you.
  12. I agree Max. It's too much to expect in just one year. They'd be better off coming up with a 3-year plan to fix the many deficiencies of this team. Pass rusher (preferably 2), a strong cornerback, a RT if Wagner leaves, a better center, and as usual some receivers who are playmakers and good at YAC. Oh, and finding an eventual replacement for Joe. Yep...I feel like we're almost as bad off as an expansion team.
  13. Somebody tell me this is a joke!
  14. Interesting point. They did draft well with Billick although Boller was a disastrous pick.
  15. And in his early days he drafted Ogden too...can't forget him especially when Marchibroda was trying so hard for us to get a running back who never panned out.
  16. Probably loyalty based on his record of building the Ravens after they moved here. He had some great picks back then, Ray Lewis, Reed, Boulware, Heap and others. But he hasn't landed a talent equal to those either on offense or defense for some time now. Part of the problem is that we've been drafting so low because the team played so well until the last few seasons. It's only been lately that he's been misfiring. Oh by the way, don't forget Arthur Brown and Terrance Cody. We got Kindle and Cody by trading down out of the first round that year to get extra picks. Problem is the extra picks didn't generate any stars players.
  17. They've been very remiss in not trading players who are coming up to the last year of their contract and whom they know they won't be able to afford to sign them for picks. Now they don't have anybody worth trading like you said. That's why it will take few years or more to fix via the draft.
  18. The more I think about it, the more I believe it's going to take several drafts to re-load this team and some smart free agent moves.
  19. It's time for Ozzie to start drafting quality instead of quantity. Having many draft picks by trading down is nice but the best we seem to do is role-players. There should be several playmakers to choose from at the 16 spot in this year's draft. It's up to Oz to pick them.
  20. They need a 'youth movement' with talented young guys. The best way to get that is the draft but we haven't selected a real playmaker in ages.
  21. Another good guy goes too young.
  22. Juan Castillo is moving out... http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Report-Juan-Castillo-Leaving-Ravens-To-Join-Buffalo-Bills/2aca3e60-12ad-4224-befa-c514ade20f91
