Play makers everywhere.... When the Ravens went up 10-0 I started thinking that might be enough points to win this game. Now....I was never comfortable.....you know all those Ravens ghosts of the past with blown leads.....that haunted me, but it was really nice to see good Ravens football.

and Smith. Campanaro is a poor mans Woodhead. They'll survive but you could see what a great impact Woodhead has. Chain mover.

It was a football clinic on "The Winning Formula." The Ravens had so many play makers today. I didn't see that last year. And....watching them didn't burn my eyes or hurt my brain like last year. One most important point to take away from this game: With this D the Ravens will go into every game on the schedule, in every stadium, with a chance to win. A fan can't ask for more.

I totally enjoyed this game. 20-0! Shit. Shut outs in today's NFL are rare. Very impressive. The Ravens showed up, executed, made the plays and played fundamentally sound football. Except for the 11 penalties. That has to get seriously reduced. This team is tackling great by the way. They ran 47 times. For 3.7 ypc. Behind that weak, brand new O line. I'll take that any game, all year. And they didn't win ugly. It was a business like, methodical beating. And they bought another weeks time for the offense to develop. Eric said this before the season. They delivered. Thank You,

I'm shocked with how well the defense played. I knew they would be very good but to shut out a very good Bengal offense in their house, in their home opener and get 4 interceptions, a fumble recovery and 5 sacks!!!!? That's outstanding. They ran 47 times. Loved it. Won the field position battle and time of possession. Everybody needs to back off on pounding on this offense. They were together for 8 days and then played this game. The game plan was perfect considering the circumstances. 1-0! Here we go!

The bandwagon is emptying fast. Their true colors are showing.
-
They are lining up like box cars ready to explode. This is going to be one wild ride.

Now, now, now! When you point 1 finger 3 are pointing back at you!

Getting out is the only sane thing to do. There won't be any TV reception there on Sunday. Well we will see our local weather Marty Ass, just claimed Cuba with their mountains will deminish its strength. Plus mom doesn't want to drive back, and I just can't up and leave her down here.

looks like it could be heading your way crav.

They just want to get the Ravens playbook from him and then cut him week 3.

We know who the defense is and who's on special teams. We have a good idea how those units will perform. As far as the offense goes it's been so long since we've seen them, and so long since that unit has been together, that they may as well be ghosts. These players are faded memories. We know nothing about this unit. Will Joe be able to shake the rust off and get on the same page with his receivers? Will he be able to throw accurately and deep? Can he take a hit or will he get knocked out for 3-4 games? We don't know. Nobody's seen him. Can West take the load? He's not Jamal Lewis or Ray Rice. We haven't seen him. We don't know. How will the tight ends do? Who will start. Are they in the game plan? We don't know. We haven't seen them. No fullback. Just an open grave that some new spirit named Ricard is going to hop out of. The O line. All ghosts who haven't played together in a long time with faces we haven't seen. They've been summoned from the mists and resurrected 8 days before the season started. What can this offensive unit do? We don't know and neither do the Bengals. Welcome to the 2017 Ravens. The Ghost season.

They drop 2 to a team with the worst batting average in baseball.

Joe's back is just fine. Check out the before and after photos.

No. He's doing his thing. Not one positive comment. It's unbelievable. One continuous stream of negativity. He lurks here all day putting down everything. What a glorious life! What worries me is if he says anything good about the Ravens, then will that signal the End Times?

Spoken like a True Fan. Reports are that Joe threw well in practice.

This was such a fun game to watch. Made my day. Terps were 20 point underdogs. Texas had outscored them 102-0 in their last 3 games! They thought this would be a *** I'm stupid for thinking this game is easy ***. 110,000 Texas fans in the stands and Maryland came in and gave them that "far away" look. I sat down to watch and thought "OMG they have no shot". Right away Maryland gives Texas 7 points on an INT for a TD....crowd goes wild and I thought "shit! Here we go!" Instead Maryland ruined their season debut and their HC's debut. Maryland has a road grading O line and explosive running backs. 43 carries, 263 yards for a 6.1 ypc. Piggy, a freshman wasn't rattled. I heard he couldn't throw but he looked damn good until he was injured. Hill made the plays too and Maryland needed that score. Special Teams???? No too good. They have some work to do there as they gave up 21 points and missed 2 field goals. But they did force a key fumble recovery and block a field goal and ran that in. Let's call it a "Push" for now. The defense was solid and fundamentally sound. The were disciplined in their assignments, bent but didn't break and were very solid tackling. The front line had good pressure with 3-4 men (5 sacks, 8 tackles for a loss) and wouldn't let Texas run (31 carries for 98 yards for a 3.2ypc). They held the explosive Texas offense to 20 points...7 of them coming in garbage time. By the end, Texas fans were throwing cards on the field in disgust.

These guys from USA Today are off.... I think the Steelers go 10-6. Browns 5-11 Bengals 8-8 Ravens 9-7
-
Yea but he sure as hell knew how to find the running lanes to the end zone. Small hands and all that, he's better than Mallett. Any game that he starts give the opponent 7 points.
-
I thought so. He'll be another Perriman.
-
They should have kept Reynolds. He was their best option at quarterback.
-
Didn't he miss a lot of games in college? This will help the Ravens opening day.
-
Uh...Mallett has to go. He'll give up 7 points every game if they trot him out there. but I'm loving watching this team.
-
Yes. That's what I'm saying. It's the Team talent that makes the coach look great. Case in point. Modell wanted to get rid of Marvin Lewis because his defenses stunk. Ozzie intervened and said he just needs better players. Ozzie got the players and Marvin suddenly became a defensive mastermind. Tonight we see The Great Sean Payton. He can't win shit without talent. (he was the Giants OC in the Ravens Super Bowl beat down). They all look like geniuses until the well runs dry.

He held this team together through 10,000 injuries. They did not quit. He squeezed every ounce out of every player. All HC's hit dry spells. John's was that this team dumped the whole SB roster over the last few years and had some weak drafts plus 10,000 injuries. They are a few pieces away but I can see the light. He'll be on top of the mountain again. Nobody knows how bad/good the Ravens would have been over the last few years with John or another coach. It's possible John did a tremendous job to get the mediocre/average record they produced. they might have been way worse. I believe in him and don't want anybody else.
