  1. OK...so you have 2 magic numbers. 16 for the D and 17 for the O. That's fair. I think the O will at least match or beat their 21.4. If the D does your 16, then we're looking good.
  2. Everybody's worried. No doubt Joe will be rusty as shit. And there's no line....and no great RB....so there's no running game. But....they will find a way to beat the Bengals. We haven't seen the starting offense so far this year and the Bengals haven't.
  3. Click this on... http://img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net/tenant/amp/entityid/AAr0JpT.img?h=373&w=624&m=6&q=60&o=f&l=f I'm shocked. This is an assisted living residence for the elderly. And 80% of the homes you see under water have no flood insurance. Those families are ruined financially. No home. No money to rebuild it. Nowhere to go.
  4. It's definitely exciting. I listened to the game from the 7th inning on while driving home. It's great for fans to have 2 major teams in their home town that are competitive and respectable foes. We have rivalries with other cities and when Baltimore comes to town it's no laughing matter. Get used to the nailbiters.
  5. O's on Fire!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. We don't have to stop singing it forever. Save some of it. Like when the Patriots come to town we could sing the part... "Huzza! she spurns the Northern scum!" And then before bedtime... "She breathes! she burns! she'll come! she'll come!"
  7. Just change the words. I've always had a problem with them....but I love the tune.
  8. OK...here we go Last year the Ravens offense wasn't much to shout about. In fact, it hurt my eyes. They were the 17th ranked offense...21st in points scored with 21.4 points per game. The D gave up 20.1 But wait! This D they are fielding this year definitely looks to be far better than last year. Special Teams? Just as good. And this years offense should be able to duplicate 21.4 points per game. And they were seconds away from making the playoffs last year. And they lost to the Yets. We know this team is going Darkside this season. Darkside requires a magic number for the minimum number of points the offense needs to score to come away with the win. What's that Magic Number? Let's go to work on this! I mean....you can see where this is going. As in something to look for.
  9. Since when did papa become your friend? What Most Of My Relationships Are Built On
  10. "and Joe Flacco is Elite."
  11. Saturday night the defense was excellent and special teams very good. and the Offense???? 4.5 yards per pass....2.5 yards per rush...that's on 37 rushes...and a whopping 209 yards. Great discipline too. 13 penalties for 126 yards. It was fun to watch the D. At least we have that.
  12. Why would they want to get rid of him?
  13. You're right. Why even live? It's so stupid.
  14. Very possible. 2/3rds of the team is very good but you have to score points. (Where did we see this before????)
  15. Monday or Tuesday was what I've been thinking.
  16. I feel like the Colts fans without Luck. This pre season reminds me of 2001 when Searcy and Jamal Lewis went down. But...after saying that....the Ravens did make the playoffs that year!
  17. I'm impatient today. This "Leap of Faith" we are asked to take that Joe will be fine, everything will be fine when he takes the field, is wearing off. I do believe Joe will be fine, but how many games do they lose while he works off the rust? It's difficult for me to get excited about this season until I see Joe on the practice field, for at least a week, healthy and throwing well. Give me some good reports and I'm back thinking playoffs. No Joe???? No Chance. Maybe 5-11. Right now the "1st Unit Offense" is abysmal. Yes the starting O line has not been in place and time is running out here. They need time working together. I don't see it. So a raw group will take the field opening day. All we can depend on from Mallett is 1-2 INT's a game with a high likelihood of one of those going for a TD. We have not seen the starting WR unit either, but this might not be so bad because teams can't scout what the Ravens bring here. Sorry...running game is very weak. The only positive is the TE situation. They have some strength building in that unit.
  18. Nahhhh. I've posted too many of his articles. He knows I like his stuff. I should be OK here. Please don't report me.
  19. I really dislike the word "Empower" like I need permission from someone to think and act a certain way that others approve of "asiftheyhadultimateauthorityovermebecausei'madumby". But....Eisenberg does a good job simplifying the offensive issues.
  20. That was great. Now...can she sing it to the President? I am proud to announce on behalf of the ER Board of Directors, that we hereby declare and bestow, a lifetime poster membership with all it's benefits and honors, on this fine woman. The decision was unanimous as you can see in this sneak photo of the ER Board... We are also proud to announce that she has accepted the position to teach politically correct trolling for all interested ER members!
  21. On the radio this morning Preston said he was not worried about Joe at all. He said the reports about joe having a disc problem or surgery are false. He said it actually is what the doctors say he needs. Rest. So they set up a time table and Joe will play opening day. Now I am worried about how much rust he'll have to shake off and the valuable time he's missed working with his receivers.
  22. He should have said "Yes!" His shelf life is short and he'll never earn more than what the Steelers offered him.
  23. There was a lot of good but this really stood out..... The Max Williams sighting was nice. I forgot what he brings to the game. It's clear to me that Woodrum should be the #1 back up. No turnovers and an 11 ypp. He reads the field, knows how to use the pocket, is poised, and makes plays. 2 weeks in a row.
