Maybe a year. By 2018 they could be right back in the thick of it if they draft well and develop the players they have. There's too much parity and watered down NFL rosters.

The Ravens had the 21st ranked scoring offense averaging 21.4 points a game. That's 343 points. Tucker made 114 of them on field goals and 27 on extra points. That's 41% of the offense. Not Good. If the offense could have turned 1/2 of his attempts into TD's they would have been the #6 scoring offense in the NFL....and in the playoffs.

Don't get me started. How about Kipp "Ole!" Vickers. We can create an insane list of stunbling, bumbling Raves. for the Flacco haters out there....and I'm not happy with Joe at the moment....I feel he's let us down....but ponder this list and you may find some gratitude that the Ravens have Joe: Boller, Redman, Case, kordell Stewart, Zeier, Blake, Banks, Wally Richardson, St Pierre, Grbac, Mitchell, Stark, ..it's a long list of failures at QB here although there were some fun and great performances by some of these guys.

This team is faced with a lot of player and depth issues. Mainly a lack of playmakers at key positions. With the team's CAP status it looks like too much to address in one year. Mike named a few spots, but I'd add offensive linemen and who can replace Williams? They need to get younger and faster. To do that they need a great draft and great offseason developing their existing young players. These players have to step up and make significant progress and contributions to the team this year....and this means the coaching has to be great. That's a lot to ask.

My guess is that the NFL is a center starved league.

Until the Ravens find players who can beat these guys out of a starting position they will remain old. Slow goes with that. It's been a long time since I heard "They don't know how fast we are."

How could the Stealer game be amazing? All Rthsslxxssbrrgrrr could do was throw and interception. They couldn't score a TD. I know!...it was amazing how once again the refs gave them a call that enabled them to win in the playoffs! Amazing how that keeps happening!

Justin Tucker's the only playmaker on this team. Just one example here: I watched a ton of football with New Years Bowl games and the NFL playoffs and every good defense that I watched had DB's that lined up with and plastered the man they were covering. The Ravens? If you're within 5-10 yards of your man then you have him covered. I mean...WTF is that about?!
