  1. Bengals are smart. They don't need AJ Green.
  2. IT BURNS!!!! It burns my eyes! That photo and his game.
  3. Bengal win probability 86% Bengal scoring drive times of 3:49 and 3:12. What took them so long?
  4. Burkhead averaging 5,6 yards per rush. Unknown Boyd lighting the D up....never heard of him....But I've heard of Perriman...just never seen him. And the defense still playing like the 4th quarter in Pittsburgh Getting smoked..
  5. Yes...Tuckers record tying 38 field goals is a remarkable season. Then you realize it's all because the offense can't finish
  6. OH!!! How different! 3 runs...and...A FIRST DOWN! And Then!?! THROW...THROW....THROW....4th down..????? RUN! First Down!!!~!
  7. Let's see if anybody plays....or coaches...like they want a roster spot next year.
  8. Ravens defense picking up where they left off in last weeks 4th quarter. 7-0 Bengals....they made it look so easy....with a bunch of no names at receiver. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!
  9. That's being smart! Opening drive: Throw...Throw...Throw...PUNT! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!]/b]
  10. I have a theme for next season: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

    Interesting

    My guess is health.
  12. And they will continue to suffer for wronging Art Modell and not blaming the true culprits; The Cleveland Mayor (on the take from Policy), City Council (on the take from Policy) and Carmen "Cap Cheat" Policy. When they vote to put Art in the Hall of Fame, then The Curse of Art Model will end.
  13. There's a lot of "Play like a Raven" players. I base this on my feeling that this team can go into any stadium with a chance to win. Of course they won't win them all, but they have enough that I don't feel "they have no shot." This team fought through a ton of injuries last year and I did not see any "quit." This season....10 seconds short of what I felt would be a good chance to go deep in the playoffs...given the playoff field they would face. Remember: Parity rules the NFL. More than ever. It was hard watching games this year because every team had flaws and sloppy play. Juice, Steve Smith, Suggs, Flacco, Yanda, Weddle, Williams, Guy, Pierce, Mosley, McClellen, Tucker, Wallace (if they ever threw to him), Orr, Urban, Gilmore (although he gets hurt playing like a Raven), Stanley is quietly getting there, West and Dixon have heart, Webb is giving his all, and look out for DT Willie Henry. They are just a few players short. There are guys who are too tentative, indecisive and afraid to make mistakes. They should be home.
  14. This team needs stability, not massive change. They are tottering on the brink of being really good or heading south. This morning I'm thinking about the benefits of keeping John, Marty and Dean. It's too early to make up my mind. Let's see how they do against the Bengals. This is how close they came to a possible 2012 season....
  15. That made me happy too. Now the Steelers have to look out for the red hot Brownies.
  16. OK...here's the acid test: Juszczyk has an incredible TD run. He goes all out and scores. Great play. Almost epic except that Browns play topped that. I'm willing to bet that there is not one poster here who didn't look at the clock and know that there was too much time left, (a paltry 78 seconds, an eternity with this D) and that it would take a miracle for the Ravens defense to keep Pittsburgh out of the end zone. I was 100% certain that Pittsburgh would at least force over time.
  17. Defense, Nonsense, Weakness. Can't fool us. We know what solid defense is. If there is one thing I hate as a fan it's feeling impotent because the Ravens defense can't stop other teams. Getting run over, bombed to death and helpless to stop or even slow it down is disgusting. I saw too much of that in the final years of the Colts in Baltimore and the Ravens early years. It's almost like "Why play when you're going to give it away?" And what Ravens fan wants to watch that?

    True

Ravens have nobody to blame but themselves.... They blew too many leads and games this season. They were not good enough. 7 losses.
  19. This game was a classic and the Ravens came out on the losing end. Browns TD was "story book" stuff. Ravens/Steelers....It hurts to lose, but that was football at it's best in this age of Parity.
  20. Yes! INT and then Smith TD catch! 14-78
  21. 7-6 at half. Fields goals ain't gonna cut it but the Ravens did survive the onslaught. D settled down. Ravens have more yards, top but they are too lte on the scoreboard. Time of possession is important. Keep the Steeler O off the field. Ravens are running well...12 carries 65 yards for 5.4ypc. 3 for 8 on 3rd down....not good enough.
  22. A Visit From St. Nicholas (with apologies to Clement Clarke Moore) 'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the Palace The Ravens approached the homestretch with due malice Two Lombardis both sat by the fireplace with care With the hopes that a third one would soon join them there The fans were quite restless, not snug in their beds With fantasy lineups pervading their heads When a presence befell them, so lively and quick They knew right away that it must be St. Nick "Santa!" they cried. "There's just two games left! Can the Ravens prevail with their speed and their heft? Can they get two more wins and become playoff-bound? Or will they collapse, to be lost and not found? "Will they get a big lead and bring it on home? Will our guys be ferocious? Their mouths, will they foam? Or will they give up a big fourth-quarter lead? Or get blown out early, on the field will they bleed? "And Santa, we need help, but not just from you. We need a big margin by half number two. We sure need to take those ol' Steelers down So that joy and merriment will run through our town. "Santa, it's been such an up-and-down year Either we've been quite happy, or we've cried in our beer Three wins, then four losses, then a climb to the top A bubble so fragile, so soon will it pop? "We fans feel like we've been through the wringer A few hamstring woes, a concussion, a stinger Some players look like they've been hit by a car Once again, we know well the two letters I-R." The jolly old man looked tired and sore This was a query he'd not heard before Toys he could handle, belief he could sell But he wasn't as conversant about the NFL He said, "I can't fathom, this wish that you seek Your spirit is willing, but mine is so weak Football, you see, is beyond my control It must stay unfettered until the big Bowl." The fans were all downcast, but they understood The Ravens would have to do best that they could It's the team that must cook a big holiday meal: A plate full of points in the City of Steel. So they'll open their presents and drink down some beer They'll gather on Sunday for some gridiron cheer They'll spend Christmas Day looking up at the screen Hoping for TDs from Marty, and a few sacks from Dean They'll face-paint and party, 'cause that's what you do When hearts are bright purple and faces bright blue They'll see Sizzle sack, they'll see West run right through They'll see Tucker kick, or they might go for two The team needs no help, they know the way how They've surely been told what's important right now The string will play out, but before Sunday's fight, We say, "Happy Festivus, and to all a good night!" https://www.pressboxonline.com/2016/12/24/twas-the-night-before-christmas-2016-edition
