I loved JO's induction. Loved how he plugged Art and his comments about his coaches, team mates, our city and fans. All of us did "grow up together" as fans because it was a long layoff between franchises and it was a new generation of fans. I was used to Memorial Stadium and "The Worlds Largest Outdoors Insane Asylum". The early years were not like that. Fans did not know when to yell or be quiet. I times I thought the "wine and cheese crowd" had taken over....maybe because the cost of PSL's was beyond the blue collar guys reach. This is why I will never forget the Ravens first win over the Jaguars in 2000. That day the fans were like it used to be. The noise and turmoil went on long after the game was over. There was literally dancing in the streets. They built on that all season as we yelled our brains out when the D took the field and it hasn't changed since. The Ravens home record is outstanding and the 12th man is a big part of that. The bust doesn't look too much like JO.....but we can now mark the Hall as "Ravens Country!

Please enlighten me. What does the word mean when a black person says it to another black person?

For the same reason that Dee just posted. It's a hate word. It's dirty. It's filthy. It's ugly. It's full of negative energy. What's Cooper's punishment? To raise his level of awareness....to raise his conscousness....to wake up. Anybody who uses that word needs to do the same.

It's a selfish act. The Ravens spent a lot of time and money developing this guy and they can't use him. I hope the "Next Man Up" does a good enough job that the Ravens say "So long."

The assumption here is that Pita is stupid...and not an educated grown man with a wife and family. He's not going to talk this over with his wife,agent, family, accountant ect... weigh the pros and cons with them....really think this through. No! He's just going to do what Joe tells him to do. Now Joe's destroyed that families future and his team mates know it and are gossiping behind his back. Soon....this will tear the team apart as some players turn on Joe. You read it here first.
