Decosta was impressive. I think he'll be a great successor to Ozzie. Which reminds me: There was no turnover in the Ravens coaching staff. This is the first season in a long, long time that the staff hasn't been raided by the NFL. This should help the team be better too. I liked how Ozzie perked up when he said this...

We know that if Joe goes down so does the season. The Ravens don't have a back up QB who can help win 1 game for them. This is a serious weak point. They can't go into this season with that liability. It makes no sense.

I call this move "Hustling Backwards". Then again, it could be a shrewd move by Ozzie to bolster the secondary's confidence.

Yea...that was a nice win. Everybody contributed which is what it takes. McLouth, Markakis, Jones, Davis, Reimhold and Flaherty. It didn't get out of hand because the Stankies couldn't capitalize with runners in scoring position. The bullpen showed up and Hammel gets a win.

It was a brilliant move.

We should sue that website for letting me steal a fake photo. Austin is not a #1 WR. Not a #1 RB. He should be a #1 return man somewhere, but he's a good example of teams stretching and wasting value if he goes in the top 16...because of outstanding times at the combine.

I don't know that but I know he only counts $200,000 against the Cap. Cap update... Ravens are getting Cap healthy.

I don't see the Ravens moving up in the first round of this years draft. If you want them to move up to get a certain player that you really like, then you will be disappointed. Every year I see players go off the board before the Ravens pick who I think would be great in a Ravens uniform. I think "They have to get this guy!" but I forget to factor in the cost. Vensel gives a few good examples of the cost.... Ozzie does not like giving up his draft picks. To him it's like trading 3 good football players, that he knows he can get, for one. That cost is too high...not the Cap cost. The amount of talent cost. The Ravens need lot's of young talented bodies at camp this year to fill out the roster. Ozzie needs all 12 of his picks. He may move up and down in later rounds, but he'll end up with 11-12 players. He's got to find some solid, immediate starters and rebuild the depth. And he will.

What a huge emotional roller coaster ride it's been! I'm on top of the mountain...astounded and flippin out on the Ravens Super Bowl win. The parade and all that happened in the days after that. Then...worry about the Cap and signing Flacco. Ray and Burke retire. Then...key players in the Super Bowl run gone in 60 seconds. But wait! Ozzie starts bringing in new players...they are good and Cap friendly. I'm headed on the upswing....12 draft picks with some key holes already filled... I'm beginning to feel and see where this is all headed: a competitive 2013 team with another good shot at the playoffs!

According to Adam...who is now on the bandwagon after picking against the Ravens in every playoff game.... Gosh...he's not real high on the Steelers....

This was good to see. The pitching held up and the timely hitting got the sweep.

I think it's very clear now that Ozzie was upset about everybody running on the Ravens last year. He's not letting that happen again.

San Diego would be wise to pass on players whom the Ravens have soured on. Jared Gaither should have taught them that lesson.
