Webb's a damn good tackler. Just don't turn the ball over.
-
The Refs are going to give the Steelers the game. Smith didn't hold...he was pulled down and Rice scores but they had to have a quick whistle.

It's time to bust the Steelers bubble.

Good one crav! I got that real anxious feeling

There's no doubt the Steelers have become better as this season has progressed...but they are not unbeatable. They have their weaknesses. The Ravens D has grown better too. The offense has not progressed. That is the weak link LeBow will try to break. They have a history of handing games to the Steelers and the Steelers will ask them to do it one more time. ...turn it over. The game plan will be a simple one...stop the running game, take out Ray Rice and force Flacco to beat them with his arm. The Steelers are 14th against the run and this Ravens O line can road grade. They are the weakest link in this game but they do not face a dominant Steelers front 7 as in years past.

Actually it's a double curse because Hillis is in Cleveland...

I was thinking the same thing dc. Maybe the media only watches a few Ravens games a year and assumes they are basicly the same; pound the football, play solid D. That is not what they are doing this year. The D's solid but the Ravens are 21st in rushing. For Cam it's all about touches for Ray Rice so those short passes are his way of running the ball. Get Rice in an open field...one on one...and a lot of damage is done. 864 yards worth so far this year for Rice rushing and receiving..7 TD's and 11.3 yards per catch. Now...they can run on the Steelers if they want to...if they don't fall behind.

You mean Jen? BTW..Jen was horrific in "his 1st Super Bowl win". The team won inspite of him...well...with some big help from the Refs too.
-
He's having a monster year..ask Mandenhall, Ben and Sanchez and t ton of O linemen....the best tackle in the NFL. He plays NG, DT and DE sometimes. That is not a stat rated position. Nobody runs on the Ravens. Nobody scores. 16 turnovers...it all happens because of the pressure that he brings which frees up the other players.

I don't think Joe will ever be Elite but that doesn't mean the Ravens can't get to and win a Super Bowl with him. They have done nothing but win with him at Quarterback so he's just fine. He's having an off year this year. Having a poor O line and only 1 vet receiver will do that to a QB. He was the 7th ranked QB last year. That's close to Elite. Joe's a tough dude. No fear. He doesn't bitch...he plays hurt without the drama like that Diva in Pittsburgh. Win Sunday night and he takes a step toward Elite. Play well in the playoffs and that's a big step. Win the Super Bowl???

"Big strikes against us? We've got Ed Reed; that might be a problem. I tell you what, man… We know the way the game comes down against them. It's no secret. We know the way they play; they know the way we play. We know they're going to try to get 17 [WR Mike Wallace] on a deep ball behind us. There [are] no secrets with us. Whether they try or not, we're prepared for it. Whatever they try – run the ball, whatever it is – we're packing our defense when we come to play." Ray Lewis

The Steeler mystique means nothing to him.

Nobody wants the job. -
Everything helps with the state of the Ravens offensive line. In week 1 they only sacked Joe once with only 3 QB hits. Joe needs a little time and space and he may get it. It will help the running game too. It comes down to turnovers...as usual and pressure creates them.

You nailed it Dee! The affectionate term for them is the 'Landover Lambs'. BTW...Shannys record at this point in time is worse than what Spurrier and Zorn had for the same amount of games. I know this because I was working in Montgomery county today and had hours of pleasurable listening to Indigenous Persons radio. I liked the fan who implored fans to be patient....for what? Another 20 years? "Waiting has it's drawbacks."

This is a better Ravens defense than the one that held the Steelers to 7 in week one. That game was an aberation...throw it out. Historicly these games are always close smog knockers. Even if Woodley plays he won't be 100%..that's huge for the Ravens. For sure the Steelers won't turn the ball over 7 times but Ben will be running for his life if he tries to go long and then the bad things will start to happen for the Steelers. It's not a juggernault offense against the good or decent defenses. That's why they are playing flag football.
-
I'm very concerned about the offense.Counting the Jaguars game and yesterdays 1st half, that's 6 quarters of stinking it up. LeBow will do the things those defenses did to throw the O in quicksand. The one good thing: as usual, the defense will keep it close if the offense doesn't turn it over and gift wrap it to the Steelers. This team is not good on the road this year and they are turning it over at an alarming rate. Stupid penalties are happening too frequently too. A ton is at stake. This is a must win game.
-
What do you mean 'Us'? You don't play for the Steelers.
-
Indigenous Persons (Landover Lambs) down 19-0 at half vs the Bills.
-
17-10 Brady will have no trouble over comming that.
