I think I saw that play from another angle...closer too, and Ray was grabbing the guys facemask. He had a good hand on it for a decent amount of time. Only Steelers and their fans whine over this kind of stuff. Maybe getting all the fines is a good sign...the Steelers cried all the way to the Super Bowl.

Who's got a prediction? Well...everybody except crav... Cassell's the kind of QB who can cut the Ravens up...I'll say Ravens in a nailbiter
-
I'm against this...teams could tap the line and listen to the calls in the huddle. Belicheat has knOwledge of things like this.

A little better and clearer today... We can count Smith and Carr out. The Titans are dinged up with 18 players on their injury report.

Alright...he got traded... I'd say there was fire in the report about The receivrer mutiny in New York.

Most but not all of the players are healthy...

Quick Thoughts: The 3-2 Texans will come in desperate for a win after losing in Oakland. This year is their best chance at the playoffs with Manning out of their hair. They know it. The schedule lines up for them. They will not quit. They beat the Steelers...almost beat the Ravens last year until Josh Wilson saved the day in overtime. The Ravens blew a 28-13 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. Then again...Pagano is the DC now. OK...Williams and Johnson are out. Stop Foster (he's most of their offense) and the Ravens should be ok.

I have no idea. Logic says he'll play better as he gets it down with his receivers. Evans needs to come back...and they have to develop chemistry. Joe's trying to find himself...trying to emerge...just trying things out. Which is good, as long as it doesn't cost the team games. But...a process like that means inconsistency....nail biting...no sure thing. Not only Joe, but this offense needs to get it's identity back...run the football more. The offensive game plan for the Jets looked like a pre season scrimmage. As the O line improves, Joe should too. Right now most of this is theory. That's shakey ground. Hopefully the bye week gave Harbaugh and Cam time to commit to an offensive identity. Ozzie wants to run more. Hopefully they heard him...I mean...he is their boss.

The Ravens have an easy schedule too. That sai,d there are no easy games in the NFL. No gimmies. The Browns and the Bengals could bite both teams in their ass. They may be the toughest competition on the schedule. Look at the 49er's...thought that would be easy 4 weeks ago...not now! The Steelers should be in the hunt until the end. It's as it should be: The Ravens just have to take care of business and everything else will fall in place.

Never thought I read something like this about Derrick... If this happened and I'm Rex...I'd have Burress apologize to Schottenheimer and the whole team for his drops with a Dunce Cap on. For Derrick...this is not the way he wants to end a great career.

Vick throws 4 Int's and the Philly D finds another way to lose again. So much for all that pre season hype. They are just a paper team. The Patriots won on the ground today...152 yards...so the Yets lose...they are now 2-3 with a rough schedule remaining. I don't think they recovered from the pounding the Ravens gave them and Plexiglass sure didn't help their cause. That team is unraveling. 48-3 ?!! 49'ers over the Bucs!?! WOW! Look out Thanksgiving.

Can't happen. The Patsies are 4-1.

Go ahead! I can take it! OK...it's too soon...but at a future date, lattitude and longitude, all will honor that which dwells in the blasted heath of my cerebral cortex and the magnificent activity-dependent modification of synapses powering through my ganglia which grants me the authority me to humbly proclaim: " I have KnowLedge of things they are not wanting you to know!"

Crav...I said "I'm thinking this 2011 Ravens team might be Super Bowl bound." That's a far cry from the Curse. We know 3 things: 1. For some reason, hidden in darkness, only you have the powers to invoke the Curse. 2. The Curse is activated when you post the ancient secret and criptic word that predates the fall of the Roman Empire. 3. As we have learned to our horror, once activated, it is irrevocable. 4. Even God refuses to intervene.

No..NO! NOT THAT!!! "Can we have a serious discussion without our filthy minds taking over?" OK...here I go... Looking at the rest of the AFC at this still early point of the season, I'm thinking this 2011 Ravens team might be Super Bowl bound. They look like the best team in the AFC to me. Every team has weaknesses including the Ravens, but with those weaknesses the Ravens still look like the best overall team. All the Ravens have to do is keep getting better every week [and stay healthy] and they'll be monsters by the playoffs. There is serious leadership on this team. Ray, Ed, Haloti, Rice, Joe, Bouldin, Suggs...they'll keep the rest focused with their eye on the prize. There is a special energy and workmanlike focus eminating from them. Ozzie has worked overtime to bring in the goods. And Harbaugh?...it's his 4th season and his stamp is on this team. They have bought in. John now has the experience, leadership skills and hard drive to pull it off. He's got 2 rock solid coaches in Pagano and Cameron. It looks like everybody is on the same page: John's page. He's in command. Cam has an offense in development. He's starting this year with new TE's for Joe, a patched up and shifted O line that could become one dam good line shortly and, basically, a new and better receiving corps once Evans returns. The running game is back (4.3ypc) and will only get better. Ray Rice, BTW, is on his way to a very special season. Possibly a career season. They are finding their way and will only get better. On defense? Pagano has these guys playing Ravens Defense at a high level. It's back. They look like the 2000 Ravens with 1 big exception on the corners. .That will be strengthened when Smith returns and Carr gets healthy. For now Webb and Williams have done a good job holding down the fort. The defense is the key, because in general, this is not a defensive year in the AFC and that will mean money for the Ravens in the playoffs. Points per game? 14.3. You can win a ton of games with that stat in this high scoring 2011 season. Their turnover margin is incredible! This is one physical attacking defense. 11 sacks, 6 interceptions (1 for a TD), 8 fumble recoveries (3 for touchdowns)...ARE YOU FEELING IT!

He must be back on drugs again.

Hey...they keep picking Ravens. Nothing wrong with that. Nagata will get Defensive MVP if he continues at this pace.

Interesting OTR. Let me follow through and probably stretch what you just said a bit... What you say almost sounds like Cam, knowing he had a lead and that the defense was hot, was experimenting, using this game as practice. Then he backed off 'school' and went back to making sure the game was won when the mistakes/inefficiency made the game close. It was a great practice and learning enviroment. There's none better than a real live game against a very good defense. He wanted to let his guys get reps against a very good secondary. He was giving Joe what Joe wanted: a chance to air it out. Let Joe have it his way{Cams way too}. Now both know there has to be a balance for this offense to work. Then he went back to school letting his guys run the ball 11 straight times. That looked like practice. Shit...they ran to Yandas hole 5 straight times. Now I hear Yanda was in Cams face telling him to run the ball and then coincidentaly the Ravens began to run so I just might be stretching this theory too far. You could almost say there was no rhyme or reason to Cam's play calling but "In game experimenting/learning" would add some reason to that. It was disjointed. Interesting.

Banks spells it out... Never saw this comming. Usually there is turnover in the playoff teams, but if 75% of this holds up then it will be a huge turnover. It's great for football and fans who haven't sniffed the playoffs in a long time. The next quarter should show us if there's still some fight left in the "Old Dogs".

Anybody here want McCoy, Sanchez or Friedman?
-
Does he want the Matt Cavanaugh offense?....with a 'Dilfer' at QB....make 2-3 big plays a game. The rest of the time flounder around. It works is you have a very good defense....get a lead and let the D pin their ears back and make life hell for the opposing offense. Maybe I can buy it...on this premise...Harbaugh is willing to risk games now to develop deep play making catches. He's willing to look ugly while developing a thing of beauty like we saw against the Rams. He wants to attack the whole field...stretch out defenses and that in turn opens up play making ability everywhere. The Ravens will need it in the playoffs against the better defenses in the NFL. They'll need it if they run into Arron Rodgers because they will have to score...a lot. Maybe it's a risk worth taking the way the D is playing. The only way to have a deep ball big play game is to learn and develop it "on the job" because Joe has got to get the intuitive side down with his new targets. Everybody has to develop the rythmn and timing, the backs, the line, the receivers....on the job. Therefore Joe will have more incomplete attempts. High risk/high reward. One or 2 quick strikes a game changes everything.
