  1. You guys presented yourselves well and you are likeable but you got too many facts wrong. For example: The Ravens are deep as shit and rock solid at running back but with your talk of McLain and McGahee possibly going elsewhere (they can't...under contract)...well to me you painted a picture that this position is a team concern. It's not...not this year. You said the passing attack faded...it did because of the WR play...so losing a bunch of them can't hurt.(you did say they can easily be replaced...correct) Losing Mason would hurt but the rest can all be upgraded. So in this case turnover at that position is good. I liked the video's you put up. You can't replace an Ed Reed or Ray Lewis with a 5th or later draft round pick. Same for the O line...they are not going anywhere...Gaither can't nor can Yanda...they don't have 6 years in the league which you must have to be an Unrestricted Free Agent. Here's the list of the only Ravens who do not have contracts for 2010 and have accrued 6 or more years in the NFL. They could leave and go elsewhere Bannan, Justin DT Edwards, Dwan DE Ivy, Corey CB Mason, Derrick WR Smith, L.J. TE Tyree, David WR Walker, Frank CB Washington, Kelley While there is some movement of RFA's every year in the league it's limited because of the draft picks and compensation involed...the Ravens basicly have control on their RFA's if they want to keep them bad enough...the ones they don't want back won't get a tendered offer. Here's the official Ravens RFA list: Landry, Dawan SS Chester, Chris G Clayton, Mark WR Washington, Fabian CB Cundiff, Billy K Koch, Sam P Moll, Tony T Terry, Adam T Williams, Demetrius WR Of that list the Ravens will protect Chester, Koch, Landry and Terry. Probably no movement of those guys. FYI...there will be around a 15 to 20 % turnover on this roster due to FA and the draft this off season. It just won't be the the high impact players. You got it right with Pryce. BTW...Getting caught on camera reading off a cheat sheet is a 'No-No'... You're good guys...you got a future but it isn't now...BUT! Don't quit or give up! We might see you on SportCenter one fine day. Thanks for listing our site. Good Luck!
  2. cleetz...you just described Patrick Johnson
  3. Thanks Force ...I thought only a juvenile could come up with that. Look crav...here's your source.....
  4. Ozzi9e found this years LJ Smith. He's not even an upgrade over Clayton and Williams. Due to injuries he couldn't get on the field before he missed all of last season. He'll be 30 this year and the game has passed him by. He won't be suiting up for even half the games.
  5. This was written by a kid... right?
  6. From TMQ's annual Bad Predictions Review..hilarious...
  7. Game 2 over Virginia? In 48 hoursw they went from getting burried to burying the Cavs.
  8. Exactly. There is no reason to let him go. unless they feel they need to get a better #2 QB. As far as Ozzie is concerned he's under contract and he's not even thinking about Troy Smith this off season. That's a problem solved (back up QB)....one less worry/need to fill. For him to think about Troy, some team would have to call him with a good offer...a GOOD offer because letting Troy go immediately creates a big hole/need to fill....one that could be costly.
  9. That would be excellent given the current circumstances the Ravens FO faces. As long as it's not a Frank Sanders/LJ Smith/Pat Johnson type...you know the kind...that's the bulk of the kind of players who will be available. I doubt Ozzie will get off his 1st round pick. He might if the WR is really good and has some milage left....a lot of teams have round 1 picks more valuable than the Ravens so he faces stiff competition there. Whatever happens, it's up to Flacco and the coaches to make the new receiving corps excell. Joe's got to pull a "Peyton Manning" as far as working with these guys...at the obsessive level...demanding excellence...practicing route after route, throw after throw until they can do it in their sleep. Easy for me to say it!
  10. crav...not a good idea to post photos like that. There's other unstable people in the world besides yourself and if they see that, it might be just enough to push them over the edge where they feel compelled to hunt you down and kill you.
  11. Game one of this series turned out to be a disaster...Duke destroyed Maryland.
  12. That would be a best case senario cleetz...fat chance on drafting 3 WR's...maybe 2. And I'm sick of #2 guys and slot receivers. The Ravens need a real, field stretching, play making #1WR to compete with the big boys. A guy like Wayne who makes the plays, demands the double coverage, so guys like Garcon and Collie can flurish. About 35 receivers are drafted every year...there's 32 teams...now I'm looking for an impact #1 WR for the Ravens...those who are that in their rookie year are few. Period. There are more who become that in their 2nd, 3rd ect year because there is a learning and development curve...then there are tons of Mark Clayton's/Travis Taylors and flat out busts. The odds are not good on landing a franchise WR..or #1 as I described. Ask Detroit...they drafted tons of receivers early in the 1st. It is a crapshoot finding what I think Flacco and the Ravens need. #2's grow on trees. Same for #3's. The Ravens can get that. Here's a draft link for WR's where you can scroll through the years: http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/history?year=2009&round=-1&position=1 Look at all the prospects who had the size, speed and numbers comming out of college, who we were drooling over before the draft, only to see them disappoint. This is a hard slot for the Ravens to fill...just as hard as QB was. You have to go back to '96/'97 to find the last time the Ravens had serious receivers. It took forever to get the QB here after a ton of misses...same amount of misses for Ozzie at WR...I am not optimistic.
  13. Spear...I see what you're saying...they did make an impact...but they had Manning throwing to them. It's still a crapshoot for #1WR's in the draft(that's what I'm looking for). Garcon and Austin Collie were 4th and 6th round picks. The history of the draft says it's hard to hit on #1's in the first round...for every hit there are lot's of misses.
  14. Unbelievable..they offered Matt Jones a contract....I don't get it. but it's good for the rest of the AFC North if they sign both...Stallworth too.
  15. Unlike RB's, few drafted WR's make a big impact in their 1st season in the NFL. ( I couldn't locate a rookie WR in the top echelon of receivers until Harvin at #39 for example). It's also more of a crap shoot finding the true #1 WR's in the draft. Don't expect WR relief in 2010 from the draft...needed help maybe, but they will need a year or 2 to develop and break out.
  16. I think Ozzie will work hard to fill needs before the draft....and then after it. "Draft Needs" will change by the draft. Ozzie will not draft for need. He will go BPA. Another Pro Bowl player never hurts the team. Now...need may match BPA in that they need a WR, DE, CB, TE, ...I wouldn't be surprised to see Ozzie take a big play safety (Reed won't play much longer). They need a dependable back up at OT. Ozzie has said in the past that the only time he goes for need is when they have several closely ranked players on their board at the time of their pick. Then 'need' may sway the choice.
  17. Boller is tough as nails to take the hits he took. Secondly he has solid character. He did not whine and cry publicly about his line, the receivers, the benchings, the play calling like many baby QB's around the league do...not to mention the intense fan and media criticism. I didn't see him throw any fingers when he was hurt and fans cheered. Class guy. 3rd...he is a nice guy. 4th...well his QB skills are 'wanting'... His only off the field stuff was...his choice of women. Not a bad problem to have...you can work on that. He was drafted in the 1st round (a stretch), never given time or proper coaching to develop, thrown to the wolves his rookie year (Ravens did make the playoffs on Jamal's magnificent 2003 year)...

    Snow!

Save your arms Dee...you'll need them for bailing water when "The Big Melt" hits. Hopefully we get a gradual melt. This is definately a back breaker. My #2 son had to stop due to back pain...so the 'old man' had to show him up. In his defense he probably shoveled 3 tons of snow.

    Snow!

700 accidents yesterday...I'm not going out today...why people try to drive in this stuff amazes me (other than esential/emergency personel...hats off to them!)

    Snow!

It sure has! I hear a 'clipper' or fast moving storm for Monday...3-4 inches. Easy shoveling this morning...my plan worked.
